This rating is for the guesthouse — we did not eat at the restaurant. It started badly since there was no signage as to where to check in. No one we spoke to had time to talk to us properly. The lady who checked us in was not friendly at all. Honestly, it seems like she did not want to do that job. The room was ok, as in it seems clean. However, the bathroom emits a mild smell of urine. And the smell from the kitchen below wafted in when we opened the only window. The night was of restless sleep, since the duvet was making us itchy, probably because of the detergent used on it. The most off putting of the entire experience is the sour attitude of the lady who checked us in. We have to pay good money to stay, but it was made really unpleasant and felt like that we were bothering her instead of being welcomed as paying guests. We had booked two nights but only stayed for one. And when we were checking out, the staff (the sour lady and her coworker) wondered between themselves, in German, why we were leaving but never even bothered to ask us. Obviously improvement of customer satisfaction is not one of their targets. Very poor experience indeed. I do not recommend to stay here.
Very nice Bavarian restaurant in the centre of Partenkirchen (we've been only to the restaurant, can't judge the hotel rooms)
