Very nice staff, great location, comfy beds!

Nice hostel, cheap overnight stay also possible at short notice and breakfast for 6€ very sumptuous. A real tip for people who want to spend little money. Cleanliness also top!

Very good location very close to the city center coffee shops and well rated restaurant. It is also close to the stuttgart center station which is two stops away from the Mercedes museum. The place is very clean with nice staff and free lockers in the basement.

Fine location on the edge of the city, decent and clean room with space and an area to write or work at. Clean beds, hot showers. Coffee all day long and a big breakfast choice helped make it a little more than a decent stay. Petty details are missing but are not really worth mentioning. Overall, very good value for money even if the staff who serve you aren't aware of their job descriptions.

Awesome hostel! The rooms are very clean and tidy, spacious, there are two elecrtic outlets next to every bed and a shelf to put small items or a water bottle. Each room has lockers that are assigned to you (you do however choose your bed) which are the same as you have in schools, so big luggage won't fit there. There are several toilet and shower rooms on each floor so you rarely need to wait for one. Staff are also very nice and offer day tickets for public transport and a few attractions. The kitchen is clean and versatile though I wouldn't call it a full kitchen, only two issues I really had there are that the bar is very minimal and it can get a bit noisy as the hostel is in front of a road.

Great hostel — we had a four bed room for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also (for hostel conditions) very good, only had to be on some things that had to be considered after replenishment question, but very nice staff. Had given us tips on parking and good location in Stuttgart.

Uber clean. Modern facilities. Helpful friendly staff. 15 min walk from train station. Great location, close to many attractions and public transit. Spacious. Comfortable. Only issue for me was water pressure in showers comes and goes.

Nice little hostel in good proximity to the city centre.
Reception is permanently manned with friendly staff.
The twin room was ample size with a dresser as a separator between the beds and a table with chairs.
Toilet and shower are in separate, lockable rooms, which is very pleasant.
The beds have, hostelüblich, very thin mattresses. Otherwise but very satisfied and recommended.

The room was spacious for the six beds and lockers. The location was better than expected with lots of restaurants within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and the entire facility was clean. The only drawback I noticed is that there is only one bathroom per floor. Not that big of an issue, but could see how it'd be a problem during busy times.

Very close to the center, 10-15min walking quietly. Very good facilities, great rooms. The only two drawbacks that I would put is that there is no elevator, and our room was on the 4th floor, and another downside is Q there are only two bathrooms per floor and on occasion we had to wait. For the rest everything perfect.

Good place we took a whole room for four of us. Comfy. Bit noisy after 10pm sometimes from other rooms but fine otherwise. Good shower and toilet facilities but the water on the shower didn't stay the same temperature all the time. … But it is cheap and a great place to stay :) and we got a 1€ beer! Bonus!

One of the best hostels I know. They have everything you want from a good hostel. Extremely clean: bathrooms, common areas, rooms, breakfast area, stairs. The toilets are very clean and very spacious like the showers… They look like hotel showers. With places to hang stuff everywhere. The rooms are also spacious with TV and good lockers (without extra pay). The breakfast (6€) is very good worth the money with lots to choose from and everything eye popping. The common areas are very well decorated including the bar, lounge and terrasse. After 22h is very quiet. The 24h (very important to me) staff is very nice and easy to communicate. The only down side? No lift… And it's a 5stage hostel … But it's in a old building.

Price/quality ratio is amazing! Very spacious rooms combined with the kind and helpfull staff makes it an amazing place to stay. This place is amazing for people who are looking for a cheap place to stay in a very vivid city!

If I'm ever in Stuttgart again I would definitely stay here. The desk service is amazing and the rooms are small but not too small with in room lockers. They offer an option for everything and even have a small bar at the desk. The best part is the showers. They are outstanding for a hostel.

If you book and need to cancel, expect no sympathy. I canceled 2 weeks in advance after booking a week before that. Full charge for cancellation that far in advance? Pretty unnecessary. For Airbnb I understand, even strict cancellation is 50% back. Whole amount charged for a hostel? These are typically young, not so well off travelers that can be quick to change plans. It seems you are taking advantage. They didn't even respond to my request to cancel for a lesser amount, just no.

Fast and stable Wifi, clean and simple room, very clean toilets and showers, great water pressure. Breakfast is so-so. No laundromat nearby, the closest is about 600m I think, not as "just around the corner" as described on website. I booked for 3 nights and have only 2 nights of parking space, and I was told when checked-in, feels bad. Overall is a good hostel, but I choose this one because the parking space and the laundromat is "just around the corner". The staff is not helpful at all, not even show around the environment when checked-in, it's rare in hostels I stayed before, so I'll just give 3 stars.

Very clean, very nice rooms and general areas. Great kitchen. Very generous hostel with some free drinks available at the bar, coffee from breakfast, free public transport and very cheap prices. Friendly staff. Atmosphere was a bit quite and we didn't really meet anyone. Good location walkable but also right next to a tram spot.

It's pretty much what you want from a hostel. Good, comfy beds, friendly staff in a good location. The 24-hour reception is the cherry on the cake. Locker is also provided which they don't charge extra for, and turned out to be extremely helpful, they take your key and give you a card which means you don't have to worry about the key. All in all definitely recommend this place.

The showers are hot and the breakfast is delicious. It's a great place to crash and meet new people. The walking distance to the U-Bahn is less than minute. Also it's quiet enough to get the needed rest so you can enjoy the days you stay! Highly recommend!

I am student from finland and to be honest Alex30 hostel is best option for people like me. Everything is cheap, breakfast is very good every single morning, there is supermarkets and restaraunts near the hostel aswell. I have been here for 7 days and I really like to be here. Staff is also very kind which I like very much. I highly recommend.

Room and bathroom were clean, one of the better hostels on our trip. The key policy is strange, they make you leave your keys at the front desk every time you leave the hostel and this doesn't seem like the most secure policy to me.

Location, rooms are OK (but also not really great) in itself — the hostel still has a really annoying problem: in the short term, we wanted to cancel a night, two nights: the employee on the phone immediately understood that, confirmed us just to have carried out the cancellation. However when the late talking and clear verbal confirmation of cancellation was simply ignored: "cancellations must come always in writing. Even if that's only a sentence in an email. "We had to pay two nights (€60 more), although a room has simply not been used! How can a short email bring more than actually direct contact with the hostel? We have not get money back even after several Receivables — Customer Service tends to zero as.

I was there during the FMX with some friends. The price wasn't bad and the people working there was nice and helpful. The room was cosy and cleaned. They even changed sheets on Wednesdays, you could cancel this if you wanted too, no extra cost for the new sheets. You had to put down a deposit for borrowing towels that you got back when you gave back the towels. I had a great experience. I recommend them if you going there on a short trip or next years FMX.

Terrible bed. Horrible orange walls. Deposit for towels and a TV remote. Although TV didn't work. Expensive during FMX festival. Bad selection of food at breakfast. Overall not good!

Great, close to Centre, nice people, although the bathrooms were shared everything was clean and looked like they were for us because we do not agree with almost anyone. All very good, highly recommended and great Wi-Fi.

I enjoyed my two nights there. Cool staff, clean and quiet rooms. The bar enables to meet other guests. You also have the possibility to cook your own meals for free in the kitchen with your own food. Plus the hostel is really good connected to public transportation: just next to Olgaeck U-Bahn Station, which brings you to Main Station (Hauptbahnhof) in less than 5 minutes. I definetely recommend this hostel if you want to spend some good time in Stuttgart.

Was with my girlfriend for 2 nights in a double room accommodated with shared shower/WC (room 402). We are NOT undemanding, but flexible, and here agreed to the price-performance ratio: — rooms were very clean, sufficiently spacious for us even with a flat screen TV (Deposit for remote control of 5, 00€, one gets a Yes, but again) -the staff are very friendly and helpful, what a typical Touristenfragen. One has to you your sincerity are honest removed. — valuable Tips, map and S-Bahn-timetable for the Abendgestalltung get -Welcome drink for only 1, 00€ on the day of arrival (we had, for example, 0.5 l wheat Beer & large soda) -the external entrance area is very tastefully furnished, the many Auszeichnungn the "PRINCE" of the door mirrors is also my impression :-) Terrace even with sun loungers, gazebo and barbecue, in the backyard, Relax in a quiet location. — the kitchen, for the guests to use is available is with everything what you usually need, which may be Budget. — the Breakfast was plentiful, varied incl. Fresh fruit, lots of bread varieties, Black and crisp bread, his own food in the fridge of the shared kitchen are to be stored, whereby we in the room fridge had, which was very good for our Schokoladenvorräte :-) Top location: a few metres to the Station OLGAECK or a few meters in the middle of the middle of the city centre ;-) Who about possibly the noise of traffic disturbed for a city break is probably not the Right thing.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and large enough for me, my travelling buddy and our massive luggage. Transport links are good and it's close to a great shopping area with plenty of reasonably priced restaurants. Yes, you do have to pay for additional amenities (as with every other hostel on earth, remember it's not a hotel) but the fan for a refundable deposit of €5 was a lifesaver in the hot weather! Make sure you take advantage of the €1 'welcome drink' which includes very generously sized bottles of beer.

The rooms are very loud as they are very close to the U-Bahn tracks and a very busy road. Very expensive for the provided amenities. Towels, fans, and adapters require a deposit. Also breakfast is extra at 8 euros a day. I stayed there for a long period of time, and the cleaning staff does not know how to clean. Someone had left used bandages in the corner of the shower, and they remained there for over four weeks. The toilet paper in the bathroom ran out, and three days later it was replaced. The common use kitchen is very small, and very unclean. It is shared with the hostel staff, however even they do not keep it clean. The fridges in the room do not work properly, if the temperature outside was about 32 C they became ovens. The internet worked only about 50% of the time. On weekends the hostel is very loud as there are generally a lot of people staying there who party. If you are there for a short stay it is fine, but for a long stay it is a miss.

The staff was very friendly, and it was a lovely, fun, and clean place to stay. They have lockers and fans you can rent for 5 Euro, which you get back when you return the key.

Near down town. The down side is: they want to charge you for everything; breakfast, towels, fans… At first it seems cheap but it becomes a little expensive after all.

The 2 weeks in the Alex30 were really terrific. It was almost a family atmosphere, with an interesting exchange between other guests and the staff, in the community room. Also the possibility to cook for yourself is a given, where, not to Lack of cooking utensils and everything very clean. It is also very Centrally located and approximately 150m is the first U-bahn Station, and it also does not harm the 10 min into the Stadtdzentrum to Run.

Very noisy, right next to the stop, single room 40 € no sink, no towel in the room! Breakfast +8€! They give you really want a single room (one night construction site). In fact, ear plugs, minderster quality (the green things, who knows), because outside during the Night and is very loud. Nevertheless, 40€ this is bad compared to a guest after a tiring day just 6 h wants to sleep, now it is 2 o'clock in the morning and it rattles outside and cars you can hear it. This was not aired, dad, the room is heated as an oven. Prefer to stay in the park, vis a vis to sleep. Not again here.

They have been operating for 10 years and you can tell that the operations run very smoothly. Is close to tram and central area. The joint bathroom and rooms were clean and nice — rooms were particularly spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful, though we did have issues with the credit card machine, which we ran into fairly consistently in southern Germany (US cards don't always work). Good location for the price — right next to a local train stop, but it was within walking distance of the city center and only about a 15 min walk from the main train station. I'd definitely recommend it.

I was in January 2012 for 3 nights there and I was very surprised. Of all the Hostels in which I've stayed have, by far, the allersauberste. Every Morning the room cleaned and the beds made (! ) Beautiful Common Room. Breakfast I have not eaten, this was also relatively expensive. Again if I to Stuttgart to ride, I will definitely again there spend the night!

Very clean, beautifully decorated, Breakfast at its Finest. Very important: Only a 5-minute walk to the shopping mile and still angenehem quiet I'll be back.
