Review of Dom Hotel 3*

The hotel is in a fantastic location. For the most part, the staff was very attentive and nice, but the hotel is not staffed 24 hours a day. When they go home, you don't have access to anything. They closed off the coffee lobby the front door, etc etc. The parking is extremely limited. The front parking lot can hold 10 cars and the garage that belongs to the hotel can hold 16 cars. This garage will cost you €6 per night. All of it fills up very quickly and you are forced to use a parking lot down the street, about a 5 or 10 minute walk, and it will cost you 60 cents per hour. Having said that, almost no hotel in Augsburg has sufficient parking. There is one hotel with 200 rooms that has 0 parking. The breakfast is good and lasts three and a half hours. That's good if you want to sleep in. There is an indoor pool and sauna and the sauna is fantastic! If you come here in the summertime, see if you can borrow a fan from the staff. There is no air conditioning. The hotel is over 500 years old, but don't expect to see any antiques when you come in. The inside is completely remodeled probably in the 1970s and is done in a modern fashion. There are two types of rooms in the hotel. The nice rooms have a sitting area as you walked in the door and then your bed and bathroom are up up a stairway. If you have a lot of luggage this is not a good thing. In my opinion, the lesser rooms are better if you have luggage. They are a single story just a single hotel room like you would expect anywhere else.
