Warm hotel, where it is good to live :).

Very welcoming attentive.

We decided to break up our journey home with a stop halfway. We booked Novotel Le Mans and admittedly we were a little concerned by the outside appearance of the place… however when we walked inside it was absolutely lovely! The staff were all fantastic and very friendly and helpful. Most spoke good english which made it easier as our French is not great! Our room was clean and suited us perfectly. A very comfy king size bed and a pull out double for the children. They also provided a travel cot free of charge for our youngest which came with an additional cot mattress which made his sleep very comfortable!
The pool was great for the kids and nice and warm. A little play park for them too which they enjoyed. Plenty of out door space for the dog to run around and she was allowed everywhere in the hotel. The only negative things I could mention were our room wasn’t ready when we checked in at 2pm but we invited to relax in the lounge while we waited and they bought fresh water over for Marley our dog. It was ready about 30mins later. So we weren’t to bothered by this at all. Also a couple of drinks we ordered didn’t male it to us but I think that was probably more down to a communication error than staff mistakes.
We all had a fabulous 24 hours and will definitely be booking again in future for both our outgoing and return journeys from our house in France.

Place is a building site. Just 1 person on the reception which is just a bar table in the entrance hall. No printer so no printed Bill. No bar. Loud drilling noise and dust everywhere. Swimming pool closed. It should be closed while this work is going on.

Great value hotel and facilities for short stopover.

What a great hotel! I used this with my 5 and 4 year old on a journey North through France. The hotel is modern and clean. The boys had a great time as there is plenty of children's entertainment in reception in the form of free computer games and building blocks. Outside was a lovely pool, outdoor games and seating area. The rooms were just perfect. I would definately use again and highly recommend!

Still waiting 24 hours on from an incorrect bill for an explanation of why I was charged €33 + tax for 2 breakfasts I supposedly ate the morning before I even arrived at your hotel. 3 unanswered emails and 1 unanswered tweet. I had intended to leave a good review as the hotel itself was fine and my kids enjoyed themselves, but ignoring emails when you have overcharged a guest for something that is brought to your attention immediately is terrible customer service and I won't be staying with you, or indeed risking being overcharged at any other Novotel, again in future.

Relaxed. Pros: pool open until 9pm, ideal to get kids tired. Hotel clean. Very tranquil inside the hotel albeit the surrounding neighborhood looks suspect with surrounding tower blocks. Staff are polite and very committed. Kids meals went down well. Con (singular) : Adult meals so so. Black burger new to me (the menu gave no further description), and I didnt demerit for this, but avoid it unless you know you like them, black bread is wierd.

Very average Hotel. Room Service But this one moderately clean, old-time shower, carpet. 15 Euros The appetizer plate: 1 Slice of dry ham that fights in a duel with three slices of garlic sausage all on a salad bed.
Closet lacks collapsing, shabby crib. Secure Vault. Very average, bad value for money!

Classic lack of innovation and yet it's expensive. The menu is not particularly appetizing.

Hello we are disappointed with this hotel. The price does not correspond to expectations at all. Shower curtain all yellow downstairs, the bathtub was not clean, the shower palm was not in good condition and worked very badly, noise at the passage of the tram, very simple room for the price!

I arrived on Monday late afternoon my room was ready I had asked for a bathtub and I had a room bathtub not super recent but to sleep it was fine. I took a bath and there was a slight leak because in the bathroom there was a little water. I took my dinner in the room I took velvety pumpkin which was exquisite then fried bib nothing exceptional for the bib the fries were a little overcooked but hey it happens then in dessert chocolate mousse that does not look like a mousse at Chocolate in the mouth. At 10:30 pm surprise fire alarm went off but I called the front desk it turns out that it was only a problem in the kitchen so phew I did not come out because it was very cold. Good the super bedding against the sheets was a bit dirty stain! Breakfast was super full of care waffles from the sweet bread jams of the salty I love it.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Double door very appreciable for maximum quietness in the room. VMC deactivable and fridge off (or so little sound that I did not hear it). Clean room. Two black dots nevertheless: the bedding: 2 beds in 70 together to make a 140, for a long time I had not had this! I spent a good part of the night sleeping in the gap between the two beds. @Novotel you know that now the new mattresses do not move like springs when your spouse moves to the other side of the bed is not it? … :), so you don't have to put 2 mattresses in between, just change the mattress. Also the outer door does not close completely on its own (normal according to the reception to avoid locking yourself out). However as in most hotels today the doors close automatically, if you are accustomed you probably do not have the reflex to check that your door is closed properly. Indeed in case you forget your key inside your room the reception can open the door, so I do not understand the utility of this system. You just risk stealing your personal belongings, your room remaining open… First Novotel in which I come down that is equipped with this bizarre system. The friendliness of the staff is therefore the level of the few choices of design and development questionable.

Staff not too welcoming. No breakfast It's stingy. A trend at the Novotel.

Hotel a little ageing but clean staff welcoming the rooms are identical to almost every Novotel a double bed twin and a convertible sofa usable for young children The bathroom dates a little but has very well resisted the time. Summer there is a beautiful garden with children's games and a swimming pool that deserves a more careful wintering.

Fantastic food, clean excellent rooms and good service.

Really pro, listening, nice room and healthy food. Too bad that there is only a car access…

All right, the rooms are big, the bathrooms too, there is ping pong. The pool is just a little narrow.

Clean and comfortable. Well run and cost effective for a family stay over. Good family rooms.

Easy to find using Google map. Staff polite and helpful. Good breakfast. Free Wi-Fi. Family friendly and suited our needs well.

Excellent hotel for families. Lovely pool with a good number of tables where you can have breakfast or dinner. Buffet breakfast can be a bit fraught in August due to number of English families taking an overnight stop here on way to port, but staff very quick to refill buffet items. Nice bar, spacious rooms with air con and helpful staff who speak English. Easy access by tram to Old Town — Plantagenet City.

We are here again as a stop over on our way down to the south of France. 3rd year running for us and the hotel has been fantastic every time. The staff are fantastic, rooms great and food amazing. New additions this year too. Loads of activities for the kids and the kids gift at check-in is a great touch. Highly recommend this hotel. Consistently high service over a number of years.

What to say? A killing! Stay from July 3 to 5 for training! The restaurant, the rooms, the setting, the atmosphere, the swimming pool… The staff! Everything is top of top! Thank you! Our group had some memorable moments! See you soon!

Stayed here for the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. Great location away from the chaos of the track. Tram stop is very close to the hotel so it's easy to get anywhere. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice clean room with free Wi-Fi. Not walking distance to downtown, but there is a streetcar which will take you directly for a couple of Euro.

I stayed one night at the Novotel. I was very disappointed with the benefits which are usually very high end at the Novotel. I was awakened at 5:30 without being able to go back to sleep, by the room doors slamming at all times. Actually the simple locking system is not obvious when getting out of the room. Bathroom very average: Bathtub made of plastic, dating probably from the creation of the hotel, shower curtain to wrap! The toilet very gray. Breakfast not very good: pastries dating time, cold pancakes, buffet not refinished at 8:30. I reported the noise problem and I was told that no one was complaining! Does not deserve 4 stars.

Good location but a bit tired and under staffed.

To start the hotel was a disappointment, when I entered the hotel is had to wait 3 min trying to find someone so I can check in. After I entered my room the safe was locked so I called the reception and they said to me they would come in 10 min after 10 min they didn't come. I couldn't be bothered to call them and get this sorted. After that I took a shower after I came out and the hairdryer was broken! And you call this 4 star. At night when I was about to sleep they didn't have enough pillows so I called the reception they said they would bring it in 5 min. But they didn't bring it so I had to sleep with no pillow! I'm really disappointed by the staff hear. At the end of the day I would never come back hear again or recommend it.

Excellent hotel. Very clean. Quiet. The décor is nice. The hotel is well positioned: close and accessible. Finally, the breakfast is perfect! I recommend.

Friendly staff. Smell of smoke in the room and bed sloping.

Very good and near to all good, resembles the novotel.
