My family and I stayed here for a week and honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Great location, sightseeing spots nearby, exploring the area was so easy.
We have booked to come back next easter again! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway.

We had a wonderful stay here! The gîte is in a fantastic location, right next to Carcassonne and surrounded by beautiful vineyards. The rooms were a great size and we loved the large dining area. Thank you Jim and Samira!

Thank you Samira and Jim for your hospitality. I celebrated my birthday in this beautiful gite. Location was perfect as only short walk to the castle, shops and restaurants. Surrounded by vineyards, really stunning.

The location of this property is absolutely perfect, being within walking distance of both cities. We were there for Bastille and viewed the incredible fireworks from the front gate — spectacular! The pool is not huge but decent enough for a large family — facilities are not necessarily luxurious but more than adequate for a very comfortable stay. Any minor issues were sorted out very quickly. The property has great character and we are just back from a second visit — that surely is the ultimate verdict. You cannot beat this location — it is perfect.

What an amazing place to stay! We couldn't have wished for a better location to visit the Cité and the Bastide on foot. We were a big family group and it was great to be able to let the youngsters explore by themselves without having to drive anyone about. The walks in the vineyards right behind the property give wonderful views of the Cité and the Pyrenees. The house and grounds are lovely and very comfortable for a 3 family meet-up. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and fantastic showers. We'll be back!

Had a 3 night stay at this beautiful location last week. The owner is very friendly and flexible. The accommodation was clean. The welcome very warm and friendly. The location within walking distance of the old and newer part of the city. The swimming pool and garden were very nice to stay in. We can recommend it to everyone!

We spent a perfect week at Orée de la Cité, an ideally located property, very well appointed and designed! Each member of our family (from 77 years old to 1 year and a half) felt good there, alternating between the pleasures of the swimming pool (perfectly maintained), the various games in the park, the hikes, the tourist visits…. Go ahead, it’s great!

We spent four exceptional days. The place is quiet, outside the town but a few minutes' walk from the citadel, which can be seen from the estate. The house is more than welcoming and everything is available. Cleanliness is a big plus. The bedding invites you to a beneficial and deep sleep. You wake up to birdsong and the swimming pool invites you to relax. The hostess of these places, Cathy, is extremely kind and listens to you with generosity. It’s a fabulous right and I invite you to discover it. We are going back and what's more, it is open all year round. Big thanks to Cathy!

Ideally located, a stone's throw from the city, in a quiet area, the estate is perfect for recharging your batteries and getting together like during our cousinade.
We took advantage of the swimming pool, the pétanque court and the garden.
The cottages are very well equipped and suitable for families with children.
The rooms are spacious and pleasant.
The welcome is professional and very friendly.
We thank the owner who does everything possible to make your stay pleasant.

1 haven of peace at the foot of the City. What a joy to park the car and do everything on foot all weekend! Very pleasant and spacious house for 9 people. Very well equipped kitchen, nothing is missing! Top notch bedding! The owner is attentive and very welcoming.

We had a fabulous holiday in L’oree de la Cité in August. There were 15 in our family group and the houses were just perfect — plenty of indoor and outdoor space with a gorgeous pool. The bedrooms and bathrooms were finished to a very high standard and we enjoyed many happy evenings on the large terraces.
The location was excellent — a 10 minute walk to the gates of Carcassonne castle and also within walking distance of shops bars and restaurants.
Cathy was available at all times if there was any issue.
Overall our experience was excellent.
