A lovely historic chateau located in a picturesque setting with large grounds and a fully provided apartment — comfortable and spacious with a bedroom that overlooks L'Orangerie. The hosts were very helpful — recommending and booking a restaurant for us on the first night and making us feel very welcome. The washing machine was wonderful!

First the owners of the Chateau were so wonderful! When we arrived they helped us rent a car and even drove us to the rental car company. They provided us with a map and all the places we needed to see and also arranged for our taxi's throughout the trip. The Chateau itself was so lovely. The rooms were so large and had so many charming things about them. My niece felt like she was a princess staying in a castle. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and had everything that you would want or need. The location was also wonderful. Only a 10 minute taxi ride from the train station and a couple of miles from the center of Saumur and the Saumur Chateau! We really enjoyed all the shopping and restaurants that they had in town. The Chateau is also associated with the Bouvet Ladubay winery which we also visited. The wines were very good and the prices were very reasonable. There was a great restaurant in walking distance to the chateau which was nice to be able to go have dinner without having to get into the car. If you are looking for a wonderful place to get away, relax and enjoy the French Countryside we strongly recommend that you stay at the Bouvet Ladubay Chateau! You will not be disappointed.

The place is beautiful, the chateau was very well decorated by the owner who has mottled all the furniture. The garden is quite wild and the greenhouse requires a bit of restoration but it gives the hidden instead, it's not Disneyland!

Beautiful. We stayed in the apartment in the basement, very querky and it has a washing machine, which is brilliant if you're traveling around Europe like we were with a small boot (SLK), lol. The young owners are tremendous and the location is fab, highly recommend.
