In all fairness I will say the location is perfect.
The staff is accommodating.

Small, cozy, right in the center of town.

Located in the place de l'Horloge, the beating heart of Avignon. Friendly and caring staff. Furniture a bit retro. Comfortable rooms.

Very disappointed in this four star hotel. The 3 star we had in Aix en Provence was 100x better than this one. Our room was tiny. Wifi internet is excrutiatingly slow. The closet is tiny and there is no space for our luggage to be opened for access. We can literally only open one luggage at a time. The walls are very thin and the floors squeak with every step. The only positive is that this hotel is very central. This place is too expensive for what we get. It is not a four star hotel; 2 stat at most. It feels very claustrophobic.

Great location, very comfortable and a wonderful breakfast! Parking garage location is a bit of a challenge to find the first time, but after you have, it’s all good.

Well located hotel about 10min walk from Avignon Central Station. If you arrive at the TGV station you'll need to get a local train to central. (Don't expect cabs at the TGV). Staff were friendly but very busy so we often had to wait. Rooms were quaint but clean and we had a lovely view over Avignon from the 4th floor.

Clean and comfy. Stayed with our 1 year old and we have every thing you need. Breakfast is expensive but you have a bakery 50 meters away so a quick walk and fresh pain au chocolat! Your right in the center and everything you may need is on your doorstep. The staff are helpful and friendly. Would happily stay here again.

Ideally located in the old Avignon just a few steps from the Palais des Papes and shops and restaurants. The rooms have a lot of cachet. Quiet, we had a very good night. The staff were friendly. Small downside, our room overlooked the elevator, we heard people passing by and the parquet that squeaked. We would recommend this hotel for a weekend.

The Hotel de la Clock is located in the centre of Avignon, in a quiet street overlooking the Place de la clock, a five minute walk from the Palais des Papes.
In a 19th-century building, the hotel occupies four floors served by an excellent lift. The rooms are relatively small, location right in the city centre obliges, but they are comfortable and very well kept.
Breakfast is served under a charming terraced veranda with access either from the outside or from the inside. The staff is lovely.

A hotel in the middle of Avignon with great beds. The facility is a little dated but we are in the old town.

So here I liked the combination of classic and modern… The staff is very friendly and you stay there in beautiful rooms. The breakfast is well presented and you have the "newspaper" paper in several languages!

Excellent location. Bang in the centre but quiet in hotel. Room we stayed in ('traditional room') was very small and almost claustrophobic. The walls are very thin and you can hear next door and outside the room. The bath shower was not working properly and you had to pull the plug very hard to instigate the shower nozzle to work. The receptionist came up and explained that there is a 'trick to it' apparently. The trick nearly takes your nails off. The force of the water is very weak. The air condition was ok but not strong enough — luckily for it wasn't that hot. The bed sheets did not get changed the next day and still had marks from a desert spill. The cupboard for hanging your clothes was a joke. It was the width of a hanger and you had to put your clothes in in one single file. Basically it is a cupboard for broom and an ironing board. We had to keep most of our clothes in the suitcase — not nice. And finally, the internet, oh boy the most frustrating and worst internet I have experienced in a hotel. If you like downloading pics on your FB to share with friends and family or play some music on Youtube, forget it! It might be the French way f making you have a tech free holiday. These little but significant things spoilt otherwise what could have been a very good hotel. I suspect my feedback won't change anything just as the rest of France. I won't book there again. Very pricey too for what you get.

Excellent location with fairly good rooms and good services. Very good value for money.

Great location. Very good amenities/toiletries. Cosy library/ meeting room. Good coffee. Lots of small sitting areas. Helpful staff. Weak a/c. Didnt like my woolen blanket wrapped on one side with a sheet. Didnt like sofa bed. Stayed in suite 324. Junior suite for three where my friends stayed was cramped.

The rates in season are high.

The most comfortable bed ever! Perfectly central for access to everything. The double glazing blocks out most of the sound even though we are in the thick of everything. It is very quaint but perfectly appointed. I would recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful room. We stayed on the 4th floor in a corner room. Very warm and cozy, loved the added bath robe and slippers. Coffee was delicious. Only issue is the parking and unloading. Parking is far and we had to leave in the rain and bring all of our luggage as well. Lo it was a Friday and it was loud outside.

Good home nice setting only hic a blower noise (VMC) all night no way to close the eye damage.

A hotel full of charm, very well located and breakfast is just perfect! The staff are very welcoming and very pro.
The only small flat are the oreillés well tro gros which hurts the shot but it's a tiny detail.

Very good off season prices, clean and well equipped rooms. Very decent bedding. We can go without fear.

We were on our honeymoon and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff were the friendliest we've ever experienced and we had absolutely no difficulty communicating with them in English. They were extremely knowledgeable and the most helpful and pleasant staff to interact with. We were also welcomed with a very nice surprise in our room upon checking to celebrate our honeymoon. We would highly recommend this hotel. The location is great, the room was beyond adequate (and a lot larger than average), the ambience was very nice, and the staff were second to none (miles above any 5 star hotel we've stayed in). Would definitely recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay in one of their other locations in France!

The centrality of the structure and therefore the comfort in walking. Unfortunately the staff is very small and there are a lot of rooms in the room. During the stay there was no hot water but no one warned and the problem didn't seem to upset the staff too much.
Before the stay we had requested the availability of a "safe" deposit that we had been confirmed, but on arrival they pretended not to know and we were given a small room with stuff piled so in bulk as not to have nearly as much space for our Objects.

Great location at the heart of Avignon Centre. Unfortunately the rooms never really cooled off even with the air conditioning set as cool as out could go. Otherwise the rooms were fairly nice and a decent size. Breakfast was expensive so we went elsewhere in town.

Despite the room and its very pleasant terrace, the price is far from being justified. Warm water see cold for morning and evening shower (too many people in the hotel apparently…). Breakfast room too small, expected a start to take his place. Breakfast at will, but on what there is only (€18 / pers. ) When). At this price, we're entitled to expect better… Note, there is no parking, just a (-20%) agreement with the city's car parks.

Unusual hotel. Small rooms, narrow corridors and maze! Find the breakfast room is a real challenge! However, it is comfortable and cosi. Its location allows to navigate quickly and walk through the veil Avignon.

The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are nice, but the internet connection is not sufficient. When the hotel is nearly full, they don't have enough bandwidth, so during peak hours, say 5pm to 10pm, websites load very slowly if at all, and I couldn't send emails with 500 kB attachments. Don't expect to get any work done. Otherwise, it's worth the price.

The hotel is actually decent, but Internet is censored, which is unacceptable.

The room was not too bad. One piece of advice: Never leave your bags at the reception. We have made that mistake and paid for it. After we checked out, we decided to go have lunch before leaving town and left our bags with the reception people. Of course, while we were gone, those idiots put one of our bags (with my passport, credit cards, etc. ), to a taxi cab that was driving some other customers of theirs to the airport in a town nearby. The bottom line is that we had our bag back, but we had to wait for 2 hours for the taxi cab to return and bring it back to us. As a result, we missed the last ferry in Hyeres on our way to the Porquerolles island. Well, not the worst thing in the world. The reception people did not even apologize to us. Instead, they treated us in the usual French rude tradition. I guess, we should feel grateful to them for letting us stay in their hotel and visit their beautiful city of Avignon (which is very beautiful indeed). If you stay in the hotel, watch out and don't expect much from the personnel. They are just plain sloppy there and they seem to be fine with that. Tagging bags in their luggage storage room is just too advanced a technology for French.
