Travelled here via the Caledonian Travel Treasures of Tuscany Tour.
Really enjoyed this trip. Pick up was from Glasgow with some further pick up along the way. Our bus acted as a feeder bus until we got to Hull for the ferry after which we got to meet our travel companion properly. As this is a coach tour there were serval key points and parts to it. But relevant to this review was for.
Day 2 Travel from Rotterdam, Belgium, Luxembourg and then France. This was quite long but we had a good few stops ending up in a place called Kyriad Mulhouse in Lutterbatch. It resembled a butlins chalet type place. This is not a normal hotel that Caledonia use for this trip and was the first time it was used. On arrival, we had to pay a tourist tax of just over one euro per person. This was the only time a tax was asked for in the entire trip. But fair enough. Again an overnight bag was needed but we weren’t aware so we had to take our two large suitcases upstairs to our rooms. There is no lift. Our room was heavily smoke filled. As an asthmatic this was not great and it lingered on all the fixtures and bedding. I aimed to have a shower but the pipe work lifted out the wall as it was not secure. So I ran a bath. There is tea and coffee making facilities and a TV. Go to sound settings and you’ll be able to change the language to English. There is no evening meal provided so pick something up before you head to the hotel. Breakfast was poor.
