It's a beautiful house. Big apartment. Some rooms have a sauna and a fireplace. View of the neighboring houses and a little promenade. In the evening you can see the passing liners. A very good location. The very center.

Wonderful location and great city transport connection. However, old apartment lacking repair, smelly bathroom, dirty furniture and appliances, very uncomfortable bed with tiny polyurethane foam mattress. Never ever had slept in such a bad hotel bed before. All dishes at your check-out are supposed to be washed by yourself and there is no dishwasher. So when you arrive you get the dishes poorly washed by the previous guests and have to start your stay by washing with your hands someone else's dishes prior to using them. Despite the hotel non-smoking policy, many guests smoke on the balconies and downstairs in the atrium, so if you want to keep the windows open (there is no A/C), be ready to have your bedroom filled up with smoke day and night. And since there is no permanent reception agent on the premises, the hotel can't do anything to enforce its own regulations and to make the smokers respect your right to enjoy the cleanest Helsinki air.

The hotel is in a quite area, walking distance to most of the attractions. The apartment was big and clean. The furniture is a a bit outdated, but the bed was confortable to sleep in. It was very close to the Uspenskin Cathedral and to the Old Market Hall. You can find some nice restaurants close by. The staff was helpful and it was easy to checkin and checkout. I would stay there again.

I give it four stars for the location and in price. Five minutes walk from Senate Square. Very comfortable to visit Helsinki. Tram from the train station that leaves you practically at the door. The train ticket from the airport is used to reach by public transport as it has a validity of 80 minutes. That's right, the apartments need a little renovation.

The price does not exactly match the apartment. It was very cold.

Convenient transportation, the room is very big, the kitchen is complete, own cooking saves money, the staff is cordial, has the opportunity certainly will come again.

The location was what we'd wanted, in a quiet area, close to the centre. The apartment was spacious for four of us, it was quiet and the beds were comfortable. I would have liked to have had the code which webneeded to access the building (out of Reception hours) given to me more prominently, in advance. That said, once I had succeeded in finding the email attachment with the code in it, it was fairly straightforward to get access to the apartment. On arrival, the apartment was clean on the surface, but the drawers had not been checked and cleaned. There were three broken items among the fittings (a cup, a ladle and the shower door). There was only comfortable seating for three people, despite it being booked for four (a second armchair was supplied on the second day of our visit, on request). There were no instructions about how to operate the sauna. Having stayed in two Hellsten hotels in Stockholm previously, and having liked both of them, I had expected more attention to detail in this hotel than we found to be the case.

The rooms are very large and have a kitchen and lounge. It's 15 minutes from downtown. The hotel has a Finnish sauna.

Nice room, more like a serviced apartment. Lots of space, with a kitchen, sauna, and living room. We had 4 people, 2 in twin beds in the bedroom, 2 on single beds in living room, which was a bit light at night. Location is ok, a bit out of the way but only 15 mins walk from the centre.

A normal apartment. Parking is just a problem.

Apartment is quite large but with cleanliness it is lacking. Our bed linen was dirty, but the next day we immediately got fresh and clean.
Coffee machine did not work, outlet in the bathroom ripped out, and everything else has to be handled very carefully so as not to break any more.

I am accustomed to a different standard of apartments and hotels.
Ah, a dishwasher has been there, with just as many tabs as you have stayed.
There is no dish towel if you want to rinse with your hand.
I think I would come back but must keep my claims lower.

The hotel is plain and simple. Keep in mind that there's no breakfast or any other kind of meals to be had in the hotel. But you've got little kitchens in each room. During the stay the rooms will only be cleaned on Sundays. Otherwise everything is neat and proper. The hotel is within a small walk to the harbour of Helsinki and the city center.

Homely everything, especially reception with kitchen bomb.

Been said before. Apartment style hotel so don't expect big busy continuously manned reception lounge etc etc. Rooms are self catering and self contained. Comfortable. Even cosy esp at this time of year. Very attentive staff. Remote reception by phone out of normal business hours works very well. Housekeeping around and on site most days. Great location with residencial locale but also dead close to city centre and tourist areas and attractions. I've been here since Feb when working in Helsinki. Beginning to feel like 'The Major' in Fawlty Towers.

Peace and quiet, and to everything not far.

Arrive at the end of October from the airport. From there, the bus Finnair, or line 615 or trains I and P that take you to the central train station. A trip of 40, 50 minutes. Then take tram number 4 to the Kauppiaankatu stop, a few meters away is the hotel.  I was fortunate to arrive before 17 and find the receptionist, because at 17 there is no reception.  3 days before they send you an email with all the information in case you do not arrive between 9 and 17.  A phone where you get the instructions to enter. If you don't know English there is no possibility to use it.  The attention is correct and willing to help. The apartment is spacious with, TV, sofa, tables, chairs and balcony terrace. Wi-Fi works right. The bathroom was very nice. I found it clean but in the three days I was never renewed the towels.  The location is the best, with a tram stop (4 and 5) to 20m which leaves you in the centre and the train station. On foot there is a 15 min walk to the centre and the train station.  The tranquility of the area is remarkable. I did not use the kitchen because there is no market nearby, there is only in the center and it is difficult to bring the bags.
Also highly recommended if you are going to use the Viking Line ferry to cross to Tallinn, it is a 10 minute walk away. If you are going to use the Tallink Silja you must take tram number 7 in front of the station and leave you at Western Terminal 2.  The really bad point is the heating.

Great and close to the Center. Price/performance fits.

Very large apartment on 2 floors level 6 B building. About 800m walk to shop at end of Tram line 4. Easy transport into city centre.

All self-care Apartment hotel, although the room is old acceptable, but the induction cooker trouble to change rooms, to a smaller room, Wi-Fi two days fault, every 6th employees do not go to work, only telephone contact, check-out before their own to the backyard garbage, remember to classify good.

Not a fancy hotel, but everything we needed for four nights. Terrific location on a gorgeous street just a short stroll from an excellent coffee shop and good restaurants. The downtown train station is about a 20 minute walk, but if you don't want to drag luggage over the cobblestones after a long flight so you'll want to take the tram (there's a tram too, but it's apparently mythical — — we never saw one). Don't miss the private sauna. It's right inside the front door, by the reception office. Book it for an hour by writing your room number on the schedule. Towels and showers are inside.

Good location, very nice and helpful staff. The apartment was clean and had a good amount of space.

Elevator is too old. If someone leaves the door open on 5, the whole place becomes a walk up. Units all need updating. Not enough supplies for short term guests, particularly towels, dishclothes, sponges etc. Not a horrible location with a short walk to Market Square. It would be nice if each guest could get some basics like coffee/filters at check in. Washers and dryers sometimes work but are in the other building. Note that this unit is not near Senate Square despite the name.

Clean, comfortable apartments in a nice quiet area of Helsinki. The apartment is large, but a bit dated, and while certainly well-used, was very clean. Check-in is self service but worked well. There are basic kitchen facilities in the apartment. It would be particularly suitable if you are there for business for an extended time — much more space than an average hotel room. The tram is nearby.

The better Airbnb for group accomodations. Exzellent value for low price. Appartements with Sauna of big size for up to 5 persons.

Apartment house, built into a hotel. Self-check-in for early and late arrival, no reception. Located in a beautiful area of Helsinki in Art Nouveau style, 10 minute walk from the centre. Two room spacious apartment Warm and light, with simple furniture and your own kitchen with basic kitchen-ware.

+ Away from foot & city traffic. — Much more outdated than advertised & refused the room style we booked. Over Priced.

The apartment was excellent. It is really close to the city centre, the staff were helpful and the apartment was big and clean. Fantastic!

I was booked in room 213. Spacious, self-catering.

In fact this is not a hotel but rather a short to medium term stay apartment. Designed mainly for business, the apartments come with kitchen, Wi-Fi, small living room, etc. This particular StayAt was already in need of renovation but since the price was offered at a significant discount, I'm giving it 4 stars. I would recommend if you want to stay in Helsinki on a budget and don't mind the toned down decoration these apartments have. Ps. The images shown, represent probably what these apartments looked like 10 years ago. Today they are not as pristine as they once were.
