Very nice place with wonderful staff.

We stayed in the SnowHotel, and let’s face it, it’s made of snow and ice, so not the most comfortable night’s sleep, but worth the experience 100% and the bed is a real bed with reindeer hides for warmth. You’re given sleeping bags which are great for the temperature and you’re nice and toasty all night, but they’re not too spacious inside, so your movement is pretty restricted once you’re zipped up inside the sleeping bag! Also, make sure you take one for your size, I am not a small guy and I randomly chose a sleeping bag later realising that it was a child’s sleeping bag, so I had to change in the middle of the night, which isn’t amazing…
The temperature is a constant — 5 degrees. As it’s visited by tours all day, check out is quite early but you get woken up with hot berry juice.
We got a room which wasn’t anywhere near as impressive as the others, so I would recommend you walk through the hotel and write down your favourite room numbers, and then go to check in. If they are available you may be lucky and they may be able to give you the room of your choice, however, don’t count on it. As we had a really poor room (not much going on in terms of sculptures etc inside it) we went and asked for a new room, but for some really weird reason, although there were many rooms yet to check-in (about 7) we weren’t able to get the room changed.

I was very disappointed to stay in the Igloo yesterday. The reason why I want to stay there is to watch the night sky but the roof was covered by snow. I hoped that at least hotel has plan B for snowy days but they just said that they don't turn the heating on before it stops snowing. Otherwise, all the other services are good.

An amazing experience, sleeping in both the SnowHotel and in the Glass Igloo. Staff are outstanding, nothing is too much trouble, and every task is completed efficiently and with care. An amazing escape, in a beautifully tranquil location. A bucket list moment!

I enjoyed the experience of sleeping in this unique structure. Kota restaurant was amazing. I had an issue with charging some lodging guests for coffee. A patron asked why I paid for coffee and she and her companion did not. Also the main building should at least stay open 24 hours, as most lobbies do. There definitely needs to be more activities onsite. After the sauna and hot tub, there was nothing else to do. I definitely enjoyed the experience but I would not repeat it here. Great staff with excellent breakfast.

I spent three nights here. Staff are very courteous and helpful. I tried activities like Snow Shoeing, Ice Fishing and Snow Mobile night safari which were really good. Igloos are pretty cool and a unique experience. Snow Hotel is extremely cold.

An unforgettable experience! But not pleasant at all;) the night is very bad but it is an experience not to be missed! In case of a real problem to sleep, a heated room is available to everyone.

Spectacular Hotel!
Unique in the world divided into two areas: glass igloo and Ice hotel.
In the complex there are restaurants, saunas, a rencito with reindeer and ice bar.
You can easily visit the Ice hotel and you can get a cocktail at the ice bar.
Excellent cuisine, Finnish Ticica, the restaurant council to sleep in the igloo glass because they offer a spectacular view of the sky from which if you are lucky you can see the Aurora Boreale as well as a Sky star unique.

Worthwhile to come and have a look around. Snow hotels are awesome. Plus they have their own resident reindeer. Don't have dinner here though, food isn't worth what you pay.

Beautiful unique experience, but I recommend to sleep inside the igloo heated and not inside the hotel ice.

We have just come back from 2 nights here and it was a wonderful and unique experience. The snow hotel is bizzare but a once in a lifetime opportunity. The small rooms are too small in my opinion so we upgraded to a suite so we didn't feel as scared. The suites have alot of detailed carvings and what with there only being a curtain for a door you feel a bit safer. The staff are really friendly and accomodating, the only thing that lets the snow hotel down is the locker, shower and toilet facilities are all spread out and it would have been a much more enjoyable experience If that had been more thought out. The fire room is a nice touch to have drinks and we got talking to alot of other guests about the whole experience. We are so glad that we hired a car otherwise we would have been so bored during the day and we got to fit in alot as we could go and do our own thing. We went for our 4th wedding anniversary and went for the private Snow sauna, Finnish sauna and outside Jacuzzi which finished off the evening lovely. The snow sauna is amazing as you experience the hot and cold elements as you are literally surrounded by ice. We spend most of the time in the outdoor Jacuzzi overlooking the forest. One evening we had dinner in the kota restaurant which is lovely and has an authentic feel to it will a Smokey log fire. We are vegan and they catered to our needs. Loved feeding the reindeer on-site.

Amazing location, no luck with the aurora borealis, but we were able to dine on luxury at the ice restaurant in the enclosure.

Stay in the igloos not the ice hotel. It's bloody freezing seriously! Igloos are beautiful and warm. Toilet and shower is great. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity just skip the ice hotel.

Wow just wow what an experience I recommend this to everyone, we stayed in the Glass igloos and to top it off you get woken up if the northern lights appear and on my occasion they didn’t disappoint me and woke me up at 2.30am, we just laid in bed looking at the stunning northern lights wow.

Spectacular hotel entirely of ice. We booked the guided tour and explored the interior of the hotel; Rooms, suites, restaurant, church (weddings are celebrated, the function of course is very short). Worth a visit.

If you do not book you can not see anything because it is all fenced with high walls of snow.

Stunning place to visit. Snow Hotel was amazing to stay at with the ice bar and restaurant. The glass igloos are just incredible, to lay back and look at the night sky was something else. Very clean with toilet and shower. Our only disappointment was that we were told that we can book excursions when there but all were booked already, so missed out on husky dogs but luckily pre booked the snowmobile safari which is a must.

The igloo experience is quite magical, unfortunately we didn't see the Northern Lights, but sleeping under the stars with the snow covered trees is pretty special. Unfortunately the resort itself is very confused, the staff seem poorly informed and the general communication from check in and throughout our stay was very poor. We were never sure if we could charge things to the room, so you generally pay for everything as you go, not at all relaxing, you pay for your dinners up front and staff would contradict each other regularly. The options for food and drinks are very very limited and extremely expensive; considering the price of the accommodation I was very unhappy at all the extra costs for such limited choice. For instance, lunch is €20 and the options are soup or salad and a dessert that you have no choice with. Dinners are €50+ per person and are set menus. There are very few beers, only one option for a glass of red or white wine by the glass, and and a bottle of wine starts at €40. I realise that the place is designed for people to only stay a short time, but the daytime activities options are awful, and extremely expensive for what they are, like €50 for one our of ice fishing, that's one expensive worm! We had come from a week in Finland in a different resort that had multiple options for activities every day, and some at night, Arctic Snow had basically nothing.

A great experience to be here. The hotel is newly built every year. Besides the overnight stay in the hotel there is also the possibility to stay in the igloo and wake up to the appearance of the Aurora. If you are looking for something special for your winter holiday, this is the right place.

Amazing experience! Reception not 24 hrs so those coming in early or late do inform the hotel. No nearby stores so do come prepared. Choice of 3 restaurants but booking is required. Heating in the bathroom could be improved but overall nice place!

The surroundings are beautiful. But if you have been to another ice hotel, don’t compare! We found the staff really great and helpful, you do need to pay for drinks etc immediately which we found interesting.
The snow hotel is obviously very cold, but our kids made it through the night, so that was a plus! The toilet and locker / shower facilities could be improved, but they are lovely and warm. Maybe take your own sleeping bag liner, as I felt a bit gross sleeping just in thermals and then the hotel liner and sleeping bag and it was a tad cold. Maybe two pairs of socks are needed. They wash the bags and liners everyday, but I just felt a bit yuck.
I agree with other reviews that there really isn’t much to do there after the tour. Common saunas (separate make and female) are on during meals service (both at night and in the morning). Reindeer feeding and the toboggan run were a hit with our kids. There isn’t anywhere near enough room for all people to wait to sleep in the snow hotel, so we ended up sitting in the restaurant/ breakfast area until we could get in. That felt a bit weird, as there was a big group eating there.
If you book a return transfer and are staying two nights or more, you can get a free return transfer into Rovaniemi or to the Santa Village, which was a good way to fill in the second day.
The breakfast was great, as was the glass igloo. The glass igloos are small, but it was a brilliant experience.

What an amazing experience. Delightful staff — very attentive, nothing too much trouble. Staying in the Snow Hotel rooms is an experience of a lifetime. Even my loving wife managed to sleep, wrapped up warm in the sleeping bags provided, only suffering a chilly nose. A walk out onto the frozen lake reveals such a beautiful area and even though we didn't get to see the aurora borealis the evening light as the sun went down was spectacular enough. Lapland is not a cheap place to visit so be prepared — but it is well worth the cost I promise you won't be disappointed.

It was a cosy location, 25 to 30 mins from town. Igloo bed was hard and couldn't adjust temperature. Food was nice but limited selection especially for lunch had to eat same meal 2 days in a row. Love the ice restaurant and the ice bar. The sauna and hot tub was also a plus, not much to do during the day unless you plan to go do all the activities listed but times don't all line up. Shame we had cloud coverage during our stay.

Worthy experience, just be prepared for the cold! Dinner and breakfast was good, but pricy (although it was Christmas eve). Santa even came to hand out presents! Sleeping bags are warmer than you think.

Stay at glass roof Igloo hotel and got a chance to see the Arctic Snow Hotel. Awesome for peoples like cool ambient.

The staff was very friendly. We booked the dinner, and it was also nice. The room was very unique and warm. Very nice place to see the aurora and star.

We booked the Aurora Adventure Evening: Visit the hotel, dine and hunt for the aurora borealis. The tour was a minute outside in the snow and then slides of the Snow hotel which will only open in a month. The wood-fired salmon meal was good. And for hunting we had the right to stay indoors until 11 pm while waiting for the aurora borealis. That's all. All this for 99 euros per person: it's stealing.

This was without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life. The location is beautiful, so quiet and peaceful. The igloos are very luxurious inside. Beds are extremely comfy and the tilt function is amazing for watching the sky and northern lights. The main reception, restaurants and staff are all exceptional. The snow hotel was being built but from what I seen it looked amazing. Will need to come back one time when it is fully built. The hotel provide transfers to various locations for €20 euros which is very good value. I cannot recommend the Santa Village enough. I was also extremely lucky to watch the most amazing northern light show two nights in a row. It went on for hours and I was blown away. I could not speak more highly of this hotel, staff and experience. 10/10 thank you!

Igloo well furbish and comfortable warm space. Comes with attached bathroom with approx 30mins of hot water supply. Bed is recline-able to adjust for Northern lights viewing.

This is a once in a lifetime experience, and I was amazed that being too hot in bed was more of a problem than the cold. It's a special place.

A great bucket list experience. We survived a night in the now hotel and have the diploma to prove it. Its bit like going camping. Don't expect glamour or comfort but the people are very friendly and the experience was a winner. Great dinner in the snow restaurant though. I had Elk and it was delicious and served piping hot alongside fresh hot vegetables. Superb!

Awesome! Once in life you have to go to an ice hotel like this. We were in awe of the work done, the entire hotel is made of ice! Beds, chairs, tables, everything! The bar is a past to make a few drinks and dinner wonder. We slept in the igloo of glass that are on the outside, it was great! Super equipped, warm, watching the stars, an experience to recommend to the 200%.
