My mom and I stayed at Pearl resort premium marina room for 4 nights before we came here. This is a place to give us a taste of mingle around with budget travellers. My mom totally adores the sunset here. We spent our evenings walked around the beach and I did horse riding with the discounted price from the horse owner. Romeo the horse is such a gem. He is solid yet docile. The seaview from our room was great. I spent my last night to have a drink with a local fren at Bamboo. A touch of backpacker feel that everyone should experience. Whats more we felt totally safe here as unlike other countries backpacker dorm where drugs and crazy stuffs happened. Here you can enjoy without have worry much.

Excellent clean and well laid out affordable accommodation. Perfect for a re-charge and relaxing getaway. Great food options both at the Tropic if Capricorn and surrounding this. Taxi service always available. Close to the airport. Staff provide a relaxed welcoming atmosphere. Kia ora (thank you).

Rooms are very small but AC works and the staff are friendly.

Our last night in Nadi was. Ade memoriable by choosing to stay here. The staff were brilliant especially the two guys that helped and taught jewellery making from 10 am.

If your absolute baseline for a stay in a hostel/hotel is general cleanliness, please do NOT book a stay at this place. Am by no means a fussy traveller but my companion and I were disgusted by the condition of this hostel. Bugs (might be bedbugs? Not sure, wasn’t about to risk it), dead and alive on the bed. Baby roaches on the bed and crawling around the apartment. Ordered a meal from the kitchen and could see flies buzzing and resting on food that they serve to customers. We left the hostel in 2 hours in search of a cleaner place to stay.

Too expensive for what it is (like everything in Fiji). The room are ok, but no more. Food too expensive too. It’s like leaving in an expensive district of Paris… The beach is ok. The good thing is that you are just in front of it. Perfect for a walk during the sunset. Also every night you have some fire shows. You can also walk to the bar of the others hostels (same owner though). You can also play rugby/volley with locals (be careful they are really good)

BED BUGS — we stayed here two nights ago and came home covered in bed bug bites — have had to hot wash all our clothes, pay for a laundrette to dry them, and fumigate our luggage: ( It's also not as close to the airport as it looks — really awful — AVOID. *since discovering bites I searched for other reviews of the same nature and found a whole bunch — each said they alerted management but nothing was done — clearly they don't care as this is a continuing problem. Also, pillows were very hard and felt like they were stuffed with t-shirts or something. Bad, bad, bad.

Very family oriented hotel! Extremely friendly staff and a fantastically place to just relax!

We stayed for 5 nights and things didn't go really well. The first day we arrived, they gave us a room which was already a clear sign of the situation. No towels on the bed, pillow sheets with a terrible smell, no Wi-Fi signal (even if they say it's available in every area). And it's not finished here, I was about to have a shower when I found out that there wasn't hot water. So I went to the reception and they came for check, they asked me to wait and so I did. At the end they decided to move us in another room because they couldn't fix the problems immediately. The new room looked better, hot water in the toilet, good Wi-Fi signal (the connection is quite slow though, but better than nothing). Pillow sheets had a bad smell even in this one. So the room has been quite good until the end, when we were about to go to sleep and we saw a bed bug walking on the bed. I went downstair and asked if they had some spray or something, but obviously the man said no. Be aware also of the lady at the travel desk, we didn't really like her way of act and work. She looked nice in the beginning, but when we went to talk she was really detached and grumpy. We asked some information about a trip and she said you should talk with another guy who is coming tonight. We felt like she didn't have any interest in doing her job. We decided so to book online and we did the best choice ever. We saved a lot and didn't have any troubles at all.

Beautiful friendly service, free airport pickup, and right on the water. Lovely greenery beside the hotel, which is located just out of town. Not overly fancy, Tropic of Capricorn is affordable, clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Friendly desk staff organize tours, massage and other services. Walking distance to other hotels offering spa, delicious food and nightlife. Bring cash — there is a 5% surcharge for credit cards.

The staff is so friendly! Especially the nice lady at the reception. I had a super room right by the pool with air conditioning, double bed and fan. The Wi-Fi was working perfectly and I feel very comfortable in this accommodation. Vinaka.

I organised for my husband and 2 kids to stay here while on a 8hr transit. It is such a relief to hear from hubby everything went well. Staff were very friendly and helpful he said. Thank you Tropic of Cap for making their stay enjoyable. They want to come back but this time not just for 8hrs but 2-3day Definitely received more than what was paid for. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for a night. We got picked up from the Nadi airport. Check in was pretty easy. Room was pretty basic but comfortable and clean. There were a swimming pool, restaurant and a bar on-site. Close to a grocery store and an ATM. Staff were friendly and helpful. There's a travel and activities desk where you can arrange transfers to other islands and book activities. Overall, it was a good experience.

+ Staff is friendly, prices ok, close to the airport. — Facilities need maintenance. Beach is not that great. Depending on what room you get you might have to endure the blasting music from the neighbouring bar/disco.

Correct in Dorm room. The bathroom leaves a little to be desired. But the beds are clean and there is air conditioning.

Rooms small, but clean. This is a budget type of hotel. Right on beach, nice restaurant with efficient service. Top spot for the younger generation, party central on weekends. Grounds well kept, pools clean and very enjoyable. Staff friendly and helpful. Easy access to town by public transport and many taxis available.

The people are amazing and so helpful, the service is so homely, our whole family would recommend Tropic of Capricorn as a great stay. Thanks flora, Mita, Mel, Ben, Maria, Nia, Sunita, Wana, shereen, Tex (scurfing was great) and Mosey loved the birthday songs!

Very basic accommodation but definitely worth the very reasonable charge. Has nice facilities and plenty of activities in or around. Family owned and staff go extra mile to be inclusive.

Having booked a bed in an 8-bed dorm, I was pleasantly surprised with a bed in a 6-bed dorm instead. The room included small storage lockers (big enough for a standard-sized school backpack, or a large handbag), lights and powerpoints at every bed. The room was cosy, and the airconditioning worked very well — — we were all snuggled firmly under the covers by the middle of the night! Management have obviously put a lot of thought into the amenities — — not one but two pools, very cosy couches and daybeds near the eating areas, plenty of hammocks and sunbeds out on the beach and closer to the resort, as well as a "Wi-Fi sanctuary" (a small room with bench space and bar stools to sit with your laptop, or couches to lounge around with your phone), the first I'd seen in the 6+ places I've stayed in Fiji. Free Wi-Fi is what you'd expect — — very slow, cuts out occasionally, not enough for facebook and instagram but enough to do emails or book more accommodation. Food from the cafe/restaurant has extremely generous servings. I was starving having just arrived back on the mainland from a trip on the yasawa flyer, I ordered the creamy chicken penne pasta and almost couldn't finish it! Very good budget accommodation, would probably visit again.

Great place for a day stopover between Melbourne and Los Angeles. The staff were friendly and helpful. My ocean front room had a great view and lovely breeze.

Stayed one night in the backpackers dorm room. Place was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly. Great location right on the water front. Easy stress free place to stay. Good value.

The bathroom is a little small, the room is tidy, public space, near the airport, there is airport transfer service, take a bus can go downtown.

Romantic by the beach. Young guests are popular here and the atmosphere is friendly. They even have kava sesh.

Very good value for money: clean rooms, nice staff and near airport. Good spot for the night before a flight or as a stop off point for a night. Whilst this place is nice, it's not really walking distance from anywhere worthwhile (aka town centre).

The best hotel I have been to on the fiji islands. The staff is awsome, the rooms are clean and you have an air condition, you have free Wi-Fi and the food is good.

Very nice and cozy hostel/hotel! Next to other ones where you can do a bar hopping. Free Wi-Fi worked ok, which is important in order not to feel more isolated when it's raining (like it was when I was there). There's public transportation in front of it and it's an adventure to ride it in Fiji (! ). Friendly staff. I loved staying in front of the beach, but the area is a bit isolated from town, which narrows your dining options and I don't like to eat in hotels because they are always more expensive.

Very comfortable place. Good price. Cleaned and not bad bugs. Bathroom and shower in every rooms. And people very nice and friendly every time with smile and happy. Especially in the reception where Aggie helped us to plan our time in Fiji in the best way possible for our needs.

Really enjoyed my two nights at the Tropic of Capricorn. Friendly staff & management. The Ocean View room was absolutely lovely. Perfect view of the sunset & just love the afternoon & evening beach view. Thanks to Olly and the other staff members for the great hospitality. My fiancé and I are planning for another trip over.
