Room and welcoming ok. But I was very desapointed by the fact that staff tryed to sell overpriced services like tours or private taxi. I shaked by myself and I asked different people. The prices asked by this hotel was crazy. If you want tourists come back in Egypt, don't treat them like milk cows.

Short version: Very nice Hotel with spacey and clean rooms. Rather quite neighborhood. Beautiful garden. The staff is very friendly. The food tastes great. Long version: My friend and I stayed for a weekend at this Hotel. It got recommended to us by our boss (we were working in Egypt at the time). We arrived by train and just walked the distance from the train station over to the national ferries (it's worth it if you don't have much luggage and want to experience the city itself). Also don't take a taxi right from the train station, you might get ripped off. When you arrive at the West Bank it's not far and rather easy to find if you follow the instructions on the way (the way is signposted). You can also use the many small boats to cross over the Nile if you don't want to go all the way to the national ferry. You get bombarded by requests on the way to the national ferry, so be prepared. The price of the ferry is next to nothing, but they only go every 30 minutes, so keep that in mind. The Hotel itself is very nice and in a rather quiet neighborhood for Egypt. The room we we had was spacey and clean with a nice view over the Hotel garden. Speaking of the garden: it's very beautiful and relaxing. A lot of plants and birds. The food tastes great and you get big portions. There is also a rooftop terrace and each floor has a terrace as well. The staff is also very friendly. The Egyptian owner speaks English very well and was always helpful.

Very good location in a side street of the West Bank, you have it not far (on foot) to the ferries and to various small shops.
The hotel management is easily accessible and gives valuable tips and arranges a variety of tours, in our case also spontaneously in the evening for the following day.
The staff makes you feel really welcome.
