First time visiting Banos and Ecuador, found this place to be in a great location right across the famous hot springs, and in walkable distance to many touristy places and restaurants in town.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Sangay in Baños, Ecuador, and it was an unforgettable experience.

Well, first of all, the hostel is really cool and a nice places to hang out. The vibe is really nice, and they offer both breakfast and free dinner some days too, which was nice.

If you come to Baños you definitely should stay here.
Super social, great bedroom (12pax dorm), clean and breakfast included.

I can not give this hostal a high enough rating! From the minute you walk in you are treated like family. The owners and staff go above and beyond to make your stay amazing.

This hostel saved my mental state on this Ecuador trip. I messaged multiple hostels for advice on if I could check in late at night as the bus from Coca would arrive at 2am.

My family and I (21 people total) had an amazing experience at Samari Spa Resort. The location, atmosphere, bedrooms, amenities, food, staff were all top of the notch.

We’ve been coming here for over 15 years, and this place truly is one of a kind. The owner and staff treat you like family and genuinely take care of you and your loved ones.

Had a stone massage here with Martha who was fantastic. She was very thorough professional. The facilities were very clean and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The staff was absolutely amazing and helpful, especially Luis the owner. The atmosphere in the hostel is very tranquil and laid-back.

The place was amazing, pool was super cool, food was good as well, great breakfast.

It is a quiet and very beautiful place, its pool, sauna, Turkish, hydromassage and its rooms are very clean, the food is super good and the service too.

The on-site restaurant was convenient for meals, and I enjoyed a night in a spacious, comfortable room.

I dont have a bad word to say about this place. The staff are great, location/view is amazing. If you are complaining about the short walk up the hill then that says a lot about you.

I loved it, it has an excellent view of the city and also the host is very friendly and attentive, he made our stay a time of total relaxation and safe.

Beautiful location just outside of Baños, overlooking the Rio Pastanza. Worth the $1.50-2 taxi ride to get out of the bustle.

Loved our stay in the Eden room. Fabulous view from the balcony. Breakfast was tasty. We had it brought to the room one morning and enjoyed our coffee on the balcony.

Located at the falls in Banos. Great rooms. Right price. Thanks Juan Carlos. We will be back.

This is a great little place with secure parking and a fantastic view of the waterfall in town.

The rooms were spacious and very clean, with beautiful views of the mountains. Hot water showers were great. It was safe and quiet and not far away from the Banos tourist attractions.

We picked this place after attempting to get to another place that we could not find.

A great little Hostel. Very clean rooms, the pool is perfect for relaxing after an long day walking. Everyone was great, cannot stress enough the friendliness of the staff.

Stayed here in 2010 first time I visited Ecuador. Was my home base for months. Loved this place. Now 2025 and I live in Ecuador. Good memories when I walk by this place.

I stayed at Shannon Hotel 360 from July 19th to 27th, and my experience was nothing short of amazing.

Great place. Very clean, almost all new.
Best of all, is really quiet.
It's a little out of the way, but perfect if you have own transportation as it's about 20 minutes walk from the centre of town.

Simple place and I would dare say almost Spartan, but clean, quiet and where we were treated warmly and welcomingly, giving us good recommendations.

The breakfast on my first day was very good and very elaborate.
I enjoyed going to the thermal baths in Banos.

This place is such a great place right in the middle of town. We got into Baños around 5am and they got up to get us checked in. The rooms were huge, beds comfy, and water hot!

Loves this hotel. Had the coolest rooftop with great included breakfast. The location is central — however, don’t stay here if you want relaxation and a full 8 hours of sleep.

A lovely hotel located just outside of the centre of Baños. What it may lack in shine it more than makes up with their service. So kind and friendly and couldn't do enough to help.

Isla de Banos Hotel is a nice hotel a little off the beaten path in Banos but still within walking distance of the town (and grocery stores/restaurants/coffee shops).

Beautiful! Accommodations and staff are superior!
