I stayed here 5 nights and really enjoyed it. The building and finishes are very nice, as is the pool and Spa area. The Cafe onsight was excellent. Above all was the customer service. They all knew me by name and were quick to provide anything I needed. Highly recommended.

Terrible Experience so far!
Worst hotel, terrible management, poor customer service. I asked for a nice room. They booked me for a dirt one. When I asked the sales representative to change my room, she offered me one room with pinched balloons in the outside little yard, Next to the mousetrap! (I was there with my 5 MO puppy). My room was located in the old building, the Bathroom was a nightmare. It was not clean, it seems they do not realize we are living on a pandemic. The curtain of the bathtub was dirt and old, with a nasty yellow color at the bottom. The nonslip part of the bathtub was cover with dirt.
The other part of the bathtub was not covered with nonslip, even though that was the most slippery part. The towels were ripped! They should ask you to bring your own towels!
The hairdryer was covered in dust as dirt. Terrible. And it was not working properly.
Breakfast, OMG the worst breakfast ever, the attitude of the waitress was very bad. I asked for an omelette, and they gave me scrambled eggs.
No spoon for coffee. We had to use the same one for the fruit and for coffee. We had to clean it with a napkin and alcohol! SMH
The pool… we were not able to use it. At night there were some people with loud music drinking and Wearing clothes inside the pool. Next day around 30 people there. No social distance at all.
They do no care about details or feed back. I post a comment on their IG, and they deleted it.

I was just wowed by the excellent customer service and attention to detail. My mom is celebrating her birthday and the people from the cafeteria gave us a nice piece of cake and tea complimentary. They made my mom feel great. That is priceless! Super recommended hotel, clean, excellent service and fair price!

The cafeteria Picadilly very nice decoration but don't be in a hurry to be served, we had to wait 3 hours to serve us and there was only 1 table besides ours. Unacceptable!

I did not like. This hotel gives preference to foreigners and mistreat the local people. We made reservations for a week and upon arrival the person on reception was rude, left us with the word in the mouth to cater to foreigners. Then they gave us a cabin tiny with a television and old a bath, ill-treated, while the main building and again was the exclusive right of foreign persons. When you are asking something no one attended, the only friendly person was the gentleman in the parking lot!. I had No problem with paying more if it was necessary for a better service but this was never considered by the staff throughout the stay we just ignore it completely. Lousy attention.

Stayed here during our stay in Baños and will definitely stay here again when we come back. Rooms are very comfortable and have everything needed. Location is perfect to be within walking distance to the town, restaurants, and the start of activities. Had a great time and can’t wait to go back!

The attention is bad. It's not personalized. There's no place to take a cocktail! Pesimo.

In my experience, we asked for a room for three people, but when we got to the room this had a double bed and a mattress on the floor as "third bed", I complained to the hotel clerks, however the room (which was small for three people), they did not change it and the solution was to bring a single bed. Bad experience.

For full service, you should consider wheelchair access. My most remeasured suggestion. Thank you.

Excellent hotel, modern and first-class facilities. Very comfortable accommodation. The pool is great and its cuisine has a special Gourmet touch. Finally in their restaurants you can enjoy the great variety. Recommended.

Had a decent fish and chips at the Alice in Wonderland themed restaurant on the ground floor. Manager and staff were very friendly.

They must improve the facilities of cabins and of games as well as the humid area. The children's pool is not heated. Massage prices are 4-5 times higher than those of the competition and there is no justification for it. You have lowered the cost product ratio compared to previous visits. The breakfasts are still the maximum in bathrooms.

Comfortable room, pleasant rest, full buffet breakfast. Clean place. Only the pool was not in optimal conditions for use.

Clean, with comfortable beds, decent size rooms. Location is quite noisy at night, and the decor is dated. Overpriced for what you get. The spa pools were not clean, and they were not hot. The sauna was also not hot.

Very good choice of accommodation in bathrooms, good prices AAA + recommended.

Sangay Hotel had wonderful customer service. I had a question as to where to find the restaurant and the gentleman who worked there guided my fiancé and I instead of pointing it out. We had a romantic private jacuzzi which I highly recommend! The hotel was very clean and friendly staff. I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Loved the place, definitely coming back here the next time we go to Baños, hotel is right in front of the waterfall. Walking distance to the town 5 mins or less, also the restaurant has live music and the dessert called Pasion de Fuego was AWESOME. Highly recommended.

Yesterday spend a pleasant evening in the restorant grill "El Chozón" of the same hotel, I usually go very often in the evenings for its pleasant family atmosphere and above all for its excellent live music by the musical group "Pulso" of the same city… the truth this place is highly recommended and is not very expensive its food, perhaps with a little varied menu, but good taste in its grilled meats and cocktails. At the outset they always give you a welcome "canelazo" (cocktail drink: orange juice, cinnamon and soft sugar cane alcohol). But what pleased me the most is his deep honesty and his phrase of his employees "here nothing is lost"! … And so it was… that night by an oversight of mine I forgot a small suitcase with a professional photographic equipment worth about USD 3000. It was my camera and flash i'm wearing to get good photos on that night. I didn't forget until the next day, 12 hours later!. I went to the hotel reception asking about that equipment and he told me that they actually had my camera safe and in the hands of the managing manager. He very gently returned it to me, of course with some respective security question (containing the suitcase? ) I retrieved it.

Sangay Spa Hotel is one of the most unique, delightful, and elegant hotels in Baños. If you want a lovely and peaceful environment with excellent hospitality, I recommend this hotel! My family has been coming here since I was a baby and I can honestly say this hotel makes Baños stand out and it would not be the same without it. What I enjoy the most is the sauna and pool area. It's surrounded by green mountains and a charming waterfall on the side. I recommend it 100%!

I stayed the holiday of May 1 2017, the Bad room (rustic cabin 30 years old) pay 370 dollars for 2 nights 3 adults 1 Baby and 1 child 5. The pool is not temperate, it is icy, they sell tickets to the pool and spa to anyone who is not staying in the Hotel. If you do not have more accommodation option ask to stay in the new tower (so qualify with 3 stars)

The place is comfortable and nice. But in the high season they improvise the accommodation in the rooms. They prepared a mattress on the floor to accommodate my daughter. That lack of respect and know the etiquette of good service.

Beautiful hotel on the edge of Banos, located directly under a waterfall. The rooms are clean, but have come a little into the years. The service is friendly and the breakfast delicious. Price-performance fit absolutely.

Stayed here for 2 nights in one of their bungalows. Firstly, this place is advertised as a "luxury" hotel, but in my experience it was not. At least, the bungalows were not. The room was very bare-bones, but functional. The worst part about the room was the extremely thin walls! Literally, I could everything both of my shared walls neighbors were doing (I could hear them peeing! )! And, they were not quiet to begin with often blaring TV/Music until 2am. And speaking of, I was there over the weekend (Saturday through Monday) and each night there was a very loud discotek nearby that had my room rattling from 9pm until 2am. My earplugs helped a little bit, but I did not get very sound sleep here. The location is just across the street (as in less than 2mins walk) from the waterfall and hot springs. It is about a 15min walk from the bus station through the town. The included breakfast buffet was very nice and filling and a had a nice selection of fruits, cereals, coffee, and eggs. It was a bit confusing, however, when they had several guys coming around asking for the card for your breakfast that the front desk gives you at check-in. On the first day, one guy came around and asked for it, but I told him, it was good for two days and I had another left, so he told me to keep the card. Then 5mins later, a different guy came over asking for the card.

Recently remodeled, they have squash court, pools and very good food, rooms acceptable.

The hotel greatly improved it this well but unfortunately the security of things in the rooms are not good since you leave my clock in the room while I went to do a tour and when you return to the room to collect my things the room already was arranged when he returns to the capital to take the flight to Lima di me with surprise that the clock was not the only place where it stops it was in the room that is regrettable but is a precedent of the security, I call and denied having seen him.
