Hilton Colon Quito Hotel

On June 2, I arrived in Quito, Ecuador, and chose to stay at the Hilton Colón, a hotel highly recommended to me by friends. The airport transfer service was prompt, and the overall service upon arrival was excellent. As it was my first time in Quito, I was truly excited and hopeful for a memorable experience.
Check-in was smooth, and the receptionist was friendly and professional. However, things took a disappointing turn when I approached the concierge. I requested help booking a taxi for the following morning to visit the Equator Line, then the Teleférico, and finally return to the hotel. Shockingly, the concierge quoted me $70 USD for the trip — this despite the fact that my friend, who had visited just two weeks prior, was charged only $40 for the exact same service.
The inconsistency in pricing felt suspicious and unprofessional. It left me uneasy, and I declined the offer. The next morning, after enjoying a fantastic breakfast at the hotel restaurant, I asked the daytime concierge for the same service. This time, I was quoted $50 — a much more reasonable price. Alfonso, the driver they arranged, was outstanding. He took me to all the sites, waited patiently, and made sure I had a wonderful time.
While I highly recommend the Hilton Colón for its excellent service, lovely amenities, and overall hospitality, I must issue a word of caution: avoid dealing with the nighttime concierge.

The hotel is wonderful, great breakfast, centrally located. Staff is wonderful. The only complaint is there is no heat in the rooms, and they should inform you at check in, and see if you would need a heater. We checked in really late and didn't know about the heat, so I was really cold until I found out the next day about the heater.

Nice hotel, in a great downtown location. As I have found with all Ecuador hotels service is impeccable. Rooms clean but cold, they delivered a heater very fast as there is no heat in the hotel. Restaurant had fantastic food. Lots around to eat and drink.

Our stay here for 3 nights was fantastic, what a gem! Room upgrade was great, the views all the way to the Virgin Mary and Pim's Panicello from our windows!
Metro across the street and easy, local markets in walking distance.
Concierge Pablo needs a big raise! He set us up with a driver for two days of visiting local areas. He was great! If you need a driver, ask him for Washington, he speaks English and was fun to be with for 2 days!
Breakfast was nice, ceviche was good. Nice to have local food, along with the normal fruits and breads.
Exec lounge was nice, could restock on water and a few drinks, and snacks each day. Wine in the evening.
Would definitely come back to this Hilton!

Beautifully located hotel with professional, friendly and helpful staff. Festivaly dressed up for the holidays, it has been a lovely home away from home for the holidays.
The staff have been gracious and helpful and we have felt well taken care of here.

This tiring Hilton offers a mix of luxury, comfort, and a few minor inconveniences. The hotel offers a blend of modern amenities and traditional Ecuadorian charm, making it an acceptable choice for those looking for a reliable place to rest while exploring the city. Its large, spacious layout and excellent security offer a feeling of safety and ease. The on-site restaurants and facilities cater to both business and leisure travelers, making it a convenient option. While I had a generally pleasant experience, a couple of aspects could use improvement, particularly regarding the room’s maintenance and check-in process.
LOCATION:The Hilton Colón is in a prime area, close to many of Quito’s top attractions, including La Mariscal, the historic Old Town, and the vibrant artisan markets. It's located in a relatively peaceful area, which is a nice contrast to the busy parts of the city. However, the surroundings can feel somewhat dated, and the immediate area doesn’t have much nightlife or activity within walking distance. It’s still central enough for easy access to restaurants, shopping, and transportation.

Exceptional Concierge Service at Hilton Quito Hotel.
During my recent stay at the Hilton Quito, I was truly impressed by the outstanding service provided by the concierge team. A shout out to Pablo and Ruben. From the moment I checked in, they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was seamless and memorable.
The team demonstrated a deep knowledge of the city, offering excellent recommendations for local dining, cultural attractions, and hidden gems that truly enriched my experience in Quito. Their ability to tailor suggestions to my preferences made me feel genuinely cared for.
One particular highlight was their assistance in arranging a last-minute dinner trip to the nearby restaurant. It was raining and the city was celebrating 100th year independence. Not only did they organize everything efficiently (reservation / taxi) but they also provided detailed tips to enhance the dining experience such as the popular dish & popular drinks.
The concierge team’s professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail were truly commendable. Whether it was arranging transportation, providing directions, or simply greeting guests with a friendly smile, their dedication to top-tier service was evident in every interaction.
The concierge staff at Hilton Quito elevated my stay from great to extraordinary. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and exceptional service.

I was greatly disappointed and I do not recommendthis hotel, especially considering the price I paid.
First of all, the shower drain was clogged and the bathroom overall would need a renovation and proper cleaning. The room sound insulation was terrible and it was rather noisy.
The staff is not at all friendly, most personnel in the lobby are simply ignoring you, not even looking at you at the front desk while speaking, no smiles, no politeness, no kindness. In addition, the restaurant staff was not at all discreet when they realized they forgot to charge the breakfast: the staff stared and pointed at our table, and one of the staff members was sent running after us as if we were some thieves, while they could have simply asked for the payment upon checkout.
The area itself is safe, except locals strongly warned us about the park opposite at dark. Other than that, there is absolutely nothing around, no shops, no restaurants, so the location is not particularly good either.
The breakfast was not good, plenty of choices but food tasted industrial, baguette was almost rock hard.
I stayed also in Sheraton during my time in Quito, so I highly recommend anyone thinking of Hilton, going to Sheraton instead, where I had the most amazing time, clean room, wonderful staff and delicious food!

Location was good. The rooms were clean but very dated. The hotel inside is beautiful! The staff are amazing. They just need to update the rooms. They look very very old and they use cheap shampoo and conditioner.

Great location across the street from a nice sized park with old trees and the metro system. Food in the hotel restaurant was average, nothing special. The bar was only open in the evening, would have preferred a mid-morning cocktail on a few days. The outdoor pool was heated and refreshing as the weather is cooler in Quito. The spa was poor, the lady working the day we were scheduled didn't know procedures on how to make someone feel relaxed. Her phone kept ringing during the treatment, was walking in heavy shoes that echoed off the floor. She didn't explain the procedure either. The description of the treatment with chocolate needs to be reworded as "powdered" chocolate was only applied to your back. My spouse left the treatment before it was over because of all of this. We celebrated our wedding and wanted champagne. They didn't have anything we liked so they went to a local wine store and got one for us. The lounge in the 17th floor was nice. The refrigerator was always stocked and had nice snacks.

Everyone provided great customer service, those who weren't working in the restaurant were very friendly.
Everyone at the concierge desk was helpful. You can request a hop on and off bus tours. Also order roses very inexpensive to take back with you.
One of the gentlemen at the concierge when my Uber ride came he walked me that made me feel safe the Uber was not in front of the hotel he was parked by the bank.
This was my first visit from the USA. I will come back. I had a great time in Ecuador. I want to go visit the hot springs and.
Galapagos.

As a Hilton Diamond member, I had a fantastic experience at Hilton Colon Quito. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. The service was exceptional, and the staff made sure all my needs were met promptly. The location is perfect, offering easy access to the main attractions in the city. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers.

Lunch for 6. Shopping stop for food and came to Hilton. We were staying at JW Marriott. Our Hilton lunch was fabulous. Super service and pleased every need and request. A must. We will stay here on next quito visit.

During my travels to South America, I had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton in Quito, Ecuador, and it was an incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the phenomenal service. Every interaction I had with the staff was warm and professional, making me feel truly welcome.
The food was spectacular, offering a variety of delicious options that exceeded my expectations. The cleanliness of the entire hotel was impeccable, and my room was nothing short of stunning—beautifully designed and extremely comfortable.
I wish I could remember all the names of the representatives, cooks, and servers who made my stay so special, but unfortunately, I’m terrible with names. However, I never forget an experience, and this was one of the best I’ve had. In fact, aside from Beverly Hills, this is the place where I’ve received the best service and treatment from an entire staff.
Thank you, Hilton Quito, for making my stay unforgettable. I can’t wait to return!

The view was amazing, I could not stop staring at the window in my room… the bed is so comfortable, the service is so nice, they are so kind, made me feel like a queen. Loved buffet breakfast… everything! just wished it was closer to good 5 star bars and restaurants also (I mean walking distance)

Wonderful hotel with nice lobby, restaurant, and other amenities. The breakfast is excellent and restaurant was also great for dinner. Area seems safe during the daytime. Easy to get a taxi from this area to the historic city center. Beds clean and comfortable.

This hotel is very comfortable and pleasant. We found our room functional and spacious. We had a king size bed and the mattress was particularly comfortable, much more so than average one in most places. Also extra pillows! The usual fridge, coffee and tea station but no microwave.
The included breakfast was excellent. It was buffet style but with many waiters hovering around and helping with tea and coffee. There was an egg/ omelette station.
The concierge was very helpful.
All operations — like checking in and out — are done smoothly.
The location is very convenient and the subway station is very near. Easy to reach the old city historic Quito.
