We had lunch there and we didn’t expect to eat so well. The “smorrebrods” were very well prepared, tasty and not too expensive. We also tried a local specialty, fried smoked plaice, a great experience.
Great hotel with a great location in the centre of Ribe, perfect if you want to explore the city by walking. Parking was the public parking spots that are within a ten minute walk, this was not ideal for us since we had a stroller and suitcases it was a little hassle but if you can travel light without strollers you will be absolutely fine.
It was a little unclear where our room was in the hotel since the doors were all open of the rooms so we didn't understand but found out eventually. We got a very big room that had a very cosy interior in Danish style. Beautiful windows that had a beautiful view on the church of Ribe.
We didn't know there wasn't an elevator which was also not ideal with the stroller. This hotel is not recommend when you are a wheelchair user.
We also found forgotten underwear from another guest in the bathroom closet so I guess the cleaning could be a little better.
Overall we had a great stay, the atmosphere of the hotel and room made it a very memorable stay and the reason of 5 stars, that and the location.

This restaurant is located within walking steps from Ribe's cathedral. It's part of an establishment which also offers lodging.
The first impression as you walk in is that it feels somewhat old fashioned, there's also a distinct odour which you'll notice for a few minutes (I did yet my party didn't).
The menu card is extensive and above all, the food is really tasty at reasonable prices. Desserts were very tasty.
There's an outdoor seating area at the back which was closed during our visit yet it must be very nice seating there.
There are other dining options in Ribe which offer "better" views yet I think you'll be satisfied with this restaurant.
