Over prized. Over rated. Small room. Bad value for money.
And the food in the restaurant is absolutely bad.
I was there with my big son (17 yrs) we know good food.
My son had beef stake. Ordered medium. Received very well done. The Bearnaise Sauce tasted of coconut (! ) (maybe they wanted to save money on the butter?! )
My fish dish smelled really bad. Not fresh at all.
Will we come back? No never!

We stayed 2 nights as a base for a trip to Aeroe. We had to go across the road to our room and followed signs up stairs, through doors, and around corners which made it feel like a labyrinth at first!
Our room was large, and faced the harbour so we had a good view of the ferries arriving, people on the streets, sunrise etc, but were not disturbed by noise. The street was not busy at night. We could sleep with open windows. The furniture was old-fashioned, not antique but retro, in dark wood, but seemed well kept and pleasant and the curtains and upholstered in dark red made it all feel a bit like genteel luxury, lovely for a short getaway by the sea. Very comfortable.
Friendly service in the reception, but notice that they are not open 24 hours. We arrived later, around 19:30, and picked up our keys in the restaurant.
Breakfast was charming in the way it catered for all the kinds of things that Danish people would have for a special, nostalgic or celebration breakfast: rye porridge (øllebrød) with syrup and cream, pancakes, hot liver pate, fresh bread and pastries of course, 8 different home made muesli including crumbled rye bread (ymerdrys), yogurt, skyr, milk (minimilk, hurrah! ), Fernet Branca (! ), juice, cheese etc. The coffee was hot and fresh but alas not very strong. And brunsviger, the traditional cake of Fyn. The restaurant had lots of toy vintage cars as decoration and you could sit outside or in a small glass-walled area so that you were almost on the harbour.

I stayed here with my family and partner. We were getting married on the nearby island, so the location was great. Right next to the ferry. The staff were very helpful and we also liked the restaurant as well. The rooms we had were quaint and very classical.
The location is good. Parking is tricky but the staff can help direct you to spots. It is also next door to a lovely Italian restaurant.
