A convenient transport scheme. Good breakfast.

The rooms here are spacious rooms and the continental breakfast is good. Bathtubs are a tad small for tall people. The places of the sockets in the wall differ per room and aren't always close to the headboard (if you need your phone near you while you sleep, that might be difficult). Tip: take a power strip or extension cord, so you can charge your stuff. We were put up in this hotel by our airline because our flight got cancelled. The airline had made a mistake in the number of nights we were to stay. Thank god for the concierge — he was amazing and patient in helping us and gave us an immediate solution. Keep this guy on staff, he's great!

Good Hotel with the standard NH quality. Breakfast ist really good but take care that you booked a superior room uphill it’s much more quieter and nicer than the standard rooms downhill. Last but not least there is a really nice sky bar I which is perfect for a after work beer or two.

An average facility. Quite accessible. The reception staff has been quite helpful. Cabs, tram and other public transportation available easily. Breakfast is ok, can do with more variety in a week especially for folks who stay longer. Heater instructions should be prominently displayed. Rooms are a little small. It would be good to have phone in the bathroom as well.

I think the best hotel in town, all perfect. In particular try the experience of the Garden restaurant, to access which you need to take the cable car. There are also tennis courts and playgrounds for children. Medium-high price. Recommended.

Beautiful and well cared for. Clean and ample outdoor space. Great bar and rich breakfast. Too bad for the very small gym and with a few tools.

Superb rooms, nice reception, great breakfast. Price for room cool, price of dishes in hotel restaurants. People c´mon, 5 € for few spoons of soup? Take the breakfast and go elsewhere for dinner. So almost 5 stars. So why 4? They give me teabags as a gift, but no kettle to do some. Made hot water through coffee machine, so tea with taste of nespresso. What else? :)

Great stay!
The location beyond the Vltava river and near several major thoroughfares had initially deterred me, but in fact the hotel is strategically superb. In a few minutes you can reach several trams which lead directly to the old town, to Wenceslas Square and to the Central station, and with one change you can quickly reach the eastern ascent to Prague Castle. In the adjacent district (Andel) you will find many nice pubs, bars and restaurants where you can eat and drink without a tourist surcharge.
The hotel itself leaves nothing to be desired. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very nice also the funicular to the Upper hotel building with great views over Prague from the Sky Lounge. Recommend!

Clean and cozy. Good breakfast menu. No elevators and a single cable car is the only means of transport between the main lobby and the hotels rooms up the hill. The cable car ride is amazing but the wait gets longer if many people are going down at the same time.

Overall very nice hotel for a reasonable price. The inclined lift was super cool — definitely recommend going on it even if just to see the view. The only issue really is the location, which is pretty bad. To get to public transport it's a 10 minute walk along busy roads and up a steep hill, which in the freezing cold, icy weather is not pleasant.

Excellent location. Friendly staff. The meals at in house restaurant were delicious and our server was outstanding, we came downstairs late and wanted a bite to eat before a tour, she stepped up and rushed out a delicious Coffee and soup.

The hotel is on the whole fine. Great chain and due to the number of rooms of course nothing special… Rooms were clean, breakfast rather mediocre. However, the location is very good for exploring Prague.

Very comfortable and clean. Well priced. Breakfast superb. Couldn’t access the funicular railway from the hotel though as it was having reconstruction work done. Bit of a trek into town — takes around 30 mins to walk or 10 mins to nearest Metro station.

Good location, 3 minutes from a shopping mall with supermarket and well-known shops. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The service was always correct and the room was large and in good condition. I came for work and surely repwtiré in this hotel.

Very pleasant stay. The rooms were clean, super large comfy beds, fully equipped and even a small balcony on it. The breakfast buffet was more than plentiful. Fully satisfied and spent a very relaxed weekend there.

Actually a nice hotel, with rich breakfast. However, the food to be kept warm is cold every day (bacon, eggs, sausages etc…)
The Warmehalte plates are not connected to the sockets.
International guests, mostly with coaches traveled to pensioners. It is possible that the breakfast room becomes too small.
The choice at breakfast, is quite good, but as written the dishes were cold.
The cost of the underground parking is also far too high for Prague conditions.
For the coffee, you sometimes have to postpone a little time in the queue schedule.
The room ceiling in the bathroom (room 1665) is so defective that you cannot offer a guest. See pictures.

Excellent suite with a view of all Prague (2210)

Very nice hotel with excellent and very helpful staff. The room I had was quite large and the bed was comfortable which was great. The room was furnished nicely with modern furniture and had a well stocked mini-bar. The breakfast was also very good as was the on-site restaurant located in the other part of the hotel on the hilltop. Make sure you take the cable car up the hill to see the views. What makes this hotel stand out from the others is the professional staff who are all very professional and helpful.

It is a large hotel with restaurant and shuttle service. The price is affordable if you book well in advance, the staff is friendly and all speak English (you must master English if you want to be understood as they do not speak Spanish). The rooms are spacious and they keep them very clean. The restaurant is expensive and little varied. It is close to restaurants and a shopping mall.

All well except location, it's away from everything. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. If you don't mind walking for a while (15min) to go to the nearest tram stop, it is highly recommended.

Room (double twin) is absolutely awesome with more than enough space and very thoughtful arrangement of furniture. It was a very comfortable 2-night stay for me and my mom. Buffet breakfast was very good as well (very wide selection available).

Just fantastic! It is very cozy, modern, with good views of the city, has its own funicular, speak Spanish and are super friendly… it is a fact that I will return!

A gem dominating a portion of Prague.

Very nice hotel that even has it's own funicular. Top notch breakfast selection and friendly, helpful staff. They have free lemon and mint infused water in the lobby. Quiet location and very near the mall.

Sauna was from otherwise a nice and well located hotel. Clean, well maintained and friendly ladies at the reception.

Location is easily accessible. Rooms were clean and good facilities. Breakfast was okay. Could have more vareity, there was one coffee machine and so many guests. Staff was really good. Overall, a nice clean hotel for overnight stay.

We were in this hotel for the seventh time, everything is right here. Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Room facilities is a bit old but very clean! Quiet rooms, especially in the Upper hotel, are reached by a cableway, with a great view of the city.

Very nice hotel with great rooms, the staff is friendly and accommodating. A highlight is the Cablecar to the 2nd building on the mountain, here you can admire the city from above. Always worth the trip, thank you.

The room was very nice and updated. The only thing I didn’t like was the tub. It was perfect for a bath but the bottom of the tub was much higher than the floor so it made it difficult to get in and out of. The breakfast bar was nice and had a good selection. We didn’t get the ride the funicular but it looked cool.

Great a bit away from the center of Prague but easy solution with the great public transport of the Czech capital.

Short walk to bus or metro station which can get you to any attraction in the city. Buffet breakfast was excellent although a bit crowded at Rush time. The two story room on the eight floor we stayed in could use some renovation. Lobby bar and service was good. The funicular to take you to the terrace bar, ran in an orderly fashion and timely. Great views of the city.

The bathroom without showers. Only bathtubs that are not possible for older people to get started. Bathroom should be kept up to date. Mass clearance at breakfast. Very loud and restless. Too many people. No rest at breakfast. Staff and service very good. Cleanliness also good. Breakfast buffet for everyone.

What a nice hotel well located room own pity it. Nyavait no opaque curtain to my window it's the only one. Negative Point with the fact that the maid or the one who filled the bar forgot to put me coffee and sweet but nothing good serious the beds are very confo and people at the reception super Nice.

I didn't stay here, I just visited for the funicular. The receptionist was helpful and gave me directions to it. The funicular itself is free which is amazing but the location is quite far from the centre.

This hotel is fantastic! We spent a wonderful few days here for our honeymoon! The staff were all helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing stay. Our room in the upper building was perfect and all the extra touches they arranged when they found out it was our honeymoon were a fabulous suprise! We are already planning our next stay.

Good meals rich but room not really spotless. Convenient location.

Very Bad & Disappointing Experience I am currently staying in this hotel in room no. 1620 1. To start with, they offered us a twin bed room even when we booked for a king size bed room since we are a couple, on requesting they joined the two beds but it is very uncomfortable as they claim the hotel is completely booked and they do not have any spare rooms to accommodate us 2. The guy who was at the reception was very smart to convince us that they have offered us a very good room in their new wing while there is nothing new about this room, all the design, the bathroom, the furniture, the lights, switch and sockets, doors, everything is very old 3. The bath tub in the washrooms is so tall and slippery that my wife fell while entering it to take a bath 4. We are staying in room no. 1620 & the Air Conditioner of this room is not working since the day we checked in so it is very suffocating, I placed a complaint at the reception the next day morning to a lady and then again the next day yo the same lady but the same was not attended, the door of the terrace is jammed and not opening, so finally I had to visit the reception upon which they sent their technician just now while I am writing this message to you at 11 pm in the night on 17th of August. 5. Though this seems like a 4 star hotel but I don't think it deserves more than 2-2.5 stars 6. Breakfast is same everyday, not much vegetarian options.

Nice hotel, great look and awesome view from the top. The cable car is a real special feature and was a lot of fun riding when there weren't any loud, annoying kids around playing with it. We went up with it to the skylounge and made a couple of pictures. We wanted to take the walking path down, but the path was closed off, because the restaurant was reserved for exclusive guests. Real shame. Staff was kind and tried to be helpful, but wasn't really thinking with us, maybe part to blame on their slightly less than average English.

We booked this for the end of June (2017) as part of a 4 night package through British Airways, and were impressed with the place. Let me start by saying that the hotel is located about a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station, where you can catch a variety of trams and underground trains to get around Prague. When we arrived, we found out we had to take a "cable car" (more like a mini monorail then an actual cable car) from the main entrance to get to our rooms in the second half of the hotel (which is located on the top of the hill) … I know some people may not like this, but to be honest, it's a short trip (maybe 2 minutes — if that) and there are some amazing views on the way up. When we got to the second half of the hotel, we were greeted by great views of the city and a found it to be fairly quiet and peaceful, with a lot of greenery around. The room was fairly spacious with a good view. The bed was fairly comfortable, and the bathroom had a decent bath/shower. House keeping was good, but sadly we only got chocolates on the pillows the first night… On the plus side, there is decent free Wi-Fi in the rooms. The breakfast was good, with a large variety of fruits, cereals and pastries, as well as cooked items such as eggs (both fried and scrambled), bacon, sausages etc… If you prefer an omelette, they do have a chef ready to make you a fresh omelette with your choice of ingredients (which I highly recommend you try).

Comfortable though not in the centre of Prague.

There is publicl elevator funicular inside the hotel! Very nice! It's a fun using it!

Far from the best NH hotel I visited. 90's style. Not really cosy. However the view from the tower top bar is fantastic. Breakfast is good although the room is too noisy. Diner at I'll Giardino restaurant was good. Service is OK. Rooms are really not stylish but OK.

Rooms get a bit warm but overall great time! Amazing breakfast as well.

A nice souvenir of our stay in the Czech Republic, great Hotel,
the people are very friendly. Unforgettable our tour of this wonderful city and
the passage through the bridges over the Vltava. Very original the funicular railway to the dependencies top of the hotel, a spectacular view. A greeting, from this distant Chile, for all the citizens of this beautiful country.

The hotel is central but the location doesnt look very beautiful. In this hotel you here sirenes every half an hour and sometimes you can hear dogs from the neighboorhoud. Furthermore, you can hear people on the floor when you are in your room. Most of the staff is unfriendly. If you meet someone from the hotel on the floor, they didnt greet or wish a good morning. As we checked out, the receptionist didnt say goodbye or anything. The only positiv was the rooms were ok.

Me and my girlfriend decided to celebrate New Year's Eve in Prague but hotel choice was a huge mistake… the toilet in the room was unclean and the the bath didn't drain the water out. On the New Year's Eve, just before midnight my friends (3 more couples), my girlfriend and I went out to see the fireworks — to our utmost surprise a manager and a waiter were chasing us with the bill as if we were some kind of criminals… imagine that most hotel guests went out a few minutes after us… and have in mind that we had two more nights in this hotel — where would we run to? When we came back our drinks (which we paid for later on) were missing and we could say cheers to each other… NH hotel-restaurant staff definitely spoiled our moment!

Friendly staff, very big and excellent breakfast buffet, a little far from the New town, but very close to novy smichov, old town and all the other good parts of town. Nice hotel.

Excellent location, good large. The rooms Of the minuses Breakfast monotonous, on the 4th day no longer wanted to eat anything _ no variety. Rooms in bad climate, always asked to bring towels. Staff unceremoniously after several knocks on the door in the room.

Very well prepared, very good kitchen, stylish and well equipped with optional, great price. If I ever come back to Prague I would choose this hotel again.

Unfriendly reception, room more than in the years to come, can't really darken the advertisement outside lights at night is pure, the air conditioning is loud and doesn't turn off… More than disappointing after the reviews… the Breakfast can not be assessed, because without busy.

A very nice and luxurious hotel (former Moevenpick hotel), which is decided in 2 buildings. The lower one is a classical 4 stars tourist hotel. The upper building to which you get by a cable cabin, is more likely a executive floor of a 5 star hotel, with separate restaurant. Very calm and top quality facility. Gave only 4 star in my review due to smell from the sink in the bathroom, lack of professionality of the service staff and the 10min by car distance from the city center. But overall highly to recommend.

We were there the end of January and we have a very positively surprised impression and can only recommend this hotel. The breakfast is super delicious and the rooms beautifully clean. If you a room in the upper part where you reach out with a kind of cable car it has a very beautiful view over Prague. Only to recommend.

After six nights spent here, there are definitely some good and bad. Wifi was down for the first night but after a call to inform them on the issue, it was up within an hour. Pillows were a tad too soft but the housekeeping service were great. Air conditioning unit could have been faulty and made the room warm and stuffy despite the cold winter season. Breakfast was great with a pretty wide spread. Parking was 20 euro a night but I suppose that's pretty normal. There's a big open carpark space outside but hotel staff advised not to park due to the risks of carpark theft. Location was pretty good too — near to novy smichov with lots of shops and eateries.

4 stars seem excessive. Located in Praha 5, Vucino to the commercial areas but unfortunately it is right above a road viaduct. Traffic both daily and nocturnal to say the least terrible… and then the sirens of the police all spy at night too. The hotel is old and the rooms do not deserve more than 3 stars.
I won't go back.

Isn't bad for your category, but I think that can be improved in some aspects. It is recommended in any case.

We stayed with my wife and sons 3 days. Rooms average, breakfast good, sauna and massage very good. Via metro only two stations from center (Musket) or 5 stations to Florenc bus station.

Positive:
-Very friendly and competent staff
-Nice and clean rooms
-Breakfast *.
-5 minutes walk to the tram
Negative:
-Nothing.

Basic hotel. Breakfast is good.

We were in a larger group and have allocated 5 rooms. Overall, we were very satisfied. Some rooms can not open the window, in others, however, already (although higher floor). The rooms are so far OK, not more and not less.
The breakfast, which had to offer very much for this class of hotel was outstanding. Also the staff at the reception was very friendly.
The beautiful "Tower lounge" in the upper building, which can be reached via the cableway is recommended.
There is a minus point for the situation because it lies directly on a multi-lane road and it can be very loud. If the window but anyway not open should be, which of course is no problem.
All in all therefore thoroughly recommended.

Unfortunately I can not tell here the positive reports of the other user. The question is what should apply to here as a benchmark. Czech standards, the hotel is sure ok, but in a chain I attach the experiences I had in other NH Hotels rather than scale and in this respect, the NH Prague for me is a disaster.
The rooms have no Windows that can be opened and the air conditioning is so loud that you can't sleep with the air conditioning. Although it had out only about 15 degrees, the room was hot and stuffy that it was unbearable.
The mattresses were soft and the location, my fellow passenger woke up one morning with strong back problems.
The breakfast buffet is large, still missing some basic things such as honey, the taste of the food was only mediocre.
Overall the whole House is also a little used.
I have unfortunately no experience with other hotels in Prague and cannot say whether these all are so. But I can give this hotel unfortunately no good judgment by Western European standards.

I stayed for 5 days and everything was perfect each day. From the front desk to the concierge I experienced friendly helpful people. The breakfast buffet is second to none. The room was quite, peaceful, clean and large. It has a nice upsalce feel, but the cost was very reasonable. I will stay again soon! Everyone and Everything was great and it was one of my best trips to Prague.

Great hotel, especially the upper wing. If you can, take a room on the first floor. There are some nice personal terraces.
