This is actually the Royal Hotel!
I stayed here for 5 nights. And loved my stay here!
Staff is so helpful and polite!
breakfast is awesome!
and rooms are really Royal!
I would love to stay here on my next visit to Prague.

Only 20 rooms but 5 stars — nice staff, royal rooms, fine restaurant! Any time again!

I had an excellent stay here with my son for a few days. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Cherry on the cake was a complimentary bottle of fizzy for my son's birthday which they must have seen on his passport. Thank you Hotel General.

Interestingly decorated in the old style, a successful quiet place, there are Russian-speaking staff. Nearby brewery.

The staff are very friendly and the rooms are very small. Shower doors cannot be closed and defective lamps are overlooked by the room service. Also the cleanliness is not worth 5 stars. Very sad, as the ambience with the old furniture is very appealing.

The perfect choice to relax your body and soul! Excellent service, you will be deliciously fed and will do everything to make you satisfied, each room is individual and beautiful. The hotel is located a bit away from the center in a quiet area, from the metro station Andel you are separated 10 minutes by foot. The Metro takes you quickly to the center and other attractions.

Very nice staff, clean rooms and breakfast was good. In walking distance (20 min) to old town. We enjoyed the stay a lot.

Amazing services. Are like princes here. Breakfast in the room, politeness and attention of the staff, everything is there to feel good. Bravo.

Great place to stay. 5 stars justified. Not a sharpball. Breakfast for 4. You can get a little better. Very polite staff. Many people speak Russian. Bathrobe and slippers. Porcelain for tea. Very clean. Umbrellas in the rooms. It is recommended to use for rest.

Quality Hotel. The staff are very nice, smiling and very friendly.
On arrival we had the joy of discovering that we had been upgraded (spacious room with 2 bathrooms, dressing, desk with computer and a reliable Wi-Fi, 2 TVs… The decoration is neat and small attentions greeted us when we arrived…
The breakfast buffet is "royal" with pastries, bread and toast, charcuterie, cheese, cereals, yoghurt, fruit… The chef also offers minute dishes such as cinnamon honey porridge, omelette, scrambled eggs, lost bread and pancakes. We did not test the restaurant for lunch or dinner.
The hotel is located in the Andel district, where you will find a 5-minute walk from underground B and tram and bus stops that will take you directly to the main sights to visit.
You can also reach the centre by foot along the Vltava River located just behind the hotel.
Close to the hotel, bars, restaurants, supermarkets and a large complex on 3 floors of shopping a perfect hotel to combine comfort, quality, charm!

The staff here are first class. I can't believe how incredibly helpful and friendly. They will tell you everything you want to know about the city, the best spots and tours. The room was so nice, clean and comfortable and the breakfast is so good. They made our visit to Prague that much more outstanding. If I ever return to Prague, this is where I will stay again.

Small rooms for a 5 star hotel, the same breakfast everyday.

Realy nice hotel, super good service, personal picup and airport transfer at ordinary taxi cost.
We booked a junior suite at it is super nice and have a realy good quality king size bed.
I will absolutely stay her, if I retur to Prague

Probably the best hotel in Prague when it comes to service and friendliness of its staff. Simple tram ride (or a decent 15 min walk) from all the sites. Great beds and good Wi-Fi (restart the in room router if you find it slowing down). This is where I will stay everytime I come to Prague!

Loved everything about this hotel. The staff are absolutely the best, very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a regal touch to it with each room themed on different generals over the the centuries. The location is perfect with breweries and restaurants surrounding the area and lots of Prague attractions within walking distance. The owner is into hunting, so the wall hangings were a little unnerving. But a very small detail which depends on personal taste. Highly recommend this place at least for a 1-2 night stay.

Hotel General is a super nice and cozy hotel on the west side of the river. Their personell is super nice and always wants to help you with anything. The rooms have some interesting interiors which means: they're modern but at the same time have and old style appended to it. The only downside is it's located a bit far from both Old and New Town. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. They staff and hospitality was wonderful and very attentive. They provided welcome drinks, a welcome fruit basket and plenty of assistance on how to get around and what to see. They are very well located to public transportation. We did take advantage of their garage parking since it was convenient and safe. Note that the entrance to the indoor parking is VERY NARROW and is not for the faint hearted. Breakfast was included and it was very delicious. Aside from the usual buffet, they offered chef specials like French toast, porridge (oatmeal), omelets, etc. We also had dinner here one night and their risotto and chocolate cake was very yummy. We travelled with our 17 mon son and they provided a comfortable baby cot (travel crib/ play yard). They also offer free babysitting even though we did not use it. Their room and bathroom were very comfortable and good size. We stayed in a junior suite and had a king size bed (in addition to crib). Bed is very comfortable and we slept well. Overall, I highly recommend the hotel to anyone and my family and I would stay here again.

Great staff, small boutique hotel. Somewhat odd interior decor…

First, I am known as a world traveller and I going to 5 stars hotel almost every week… big chains and boutique hotels this hotel, is NOT a 5 stars hotel, its a 3 sup or MAX 4 in america or western europe! First I ordered in the hotel website (not via expedia, booking or others) a romantic getaway for 2 while I was traveling between budapest and berlin. It includes a bottle of sparking wine in room at arrival, flowers in room at arrival dinner for 2 people with wine and a 1 hour sauna. For 125 euros. And on top on their website and facebook they have a 15% off because of low season. Looks like they have a problem with their own system. They havent seen the romantic getaway. So I arrived. Nothing at all. We go in the room, and nothing. So I manage to tell my wife that I need to go to the atm. Alone… so I can actually manage to speak with the front desk and see whats the prob… once at the front desk, the lady tells me that its not written on the reservation. But she will manage it if we go in the coty and come back. Which we did. Very nice setup in the room once we came back. The only problem was. There was bo sparkling wine. But a bottle of red wine… I can deal with it. Time to open the tv… OMG the channels are not working I mean ZERO channel. No signal on every channel! I mean its total silence and you cant have nothing as there is not even a in room radio! I call the reception that tell me they send someone.

Hotel General was a bit hard to find, but well worth the effort! We were met curbside by the doorman and guided through the narrow garage door to the car elevator. After entrusting our luggage to the bellman, we were shown to the hotel desk were we were checked in by the staff while sitting on sofas and having tea. The room was recently renovated and gorgeous, especially the bathroom. But the best part was breakfast: raspberry crepes, omelets, a fruit bar and more, served in the beautiful blue dining room by a gracious staff. It was a bit of a walk to the tourist sights, but very pleasant. We didn't need our car again until we checked out.
