Very nice place clean funzionalle great location for visiting Prague.

Absolutely the worst experience possible from a hotel. Absolutely stay away. My mother (70 years old), sister and niece stayed at the hotel. During their stay, my mother spoke with the front desk requesting to extend their stay by two days during the weekend. The clerk said that she would take care of it and that they could extend the stay. Today, while we were traveling, the hotel took out all of their luggage out and said that there was no reservation, no room available. Not only did they not provide an answer on how such a thing can happen, but they also offered absolutely no help, were extremely rude and the only thing that mattered to them is that my mother signs the paper for paying for the nights they stayed. A hotel that doesn't take responsibility for their employee's work, throws a 70-year-old woman to the street should be banned from giving service. Stay there at your own peril. Clear of this place.

Amazing place with lots of character. The staff is really friendly and will happily help you. I have been upgraded to amazing attic room as the TV in my room didn’t work which wasn’t much of a problem but the staff was just too kind and sorted it within 10 minutes. Would definitely come and stay again.

Highly ornate and beautiful. Musicians rival those of any national Opera.

We could only see it on the outside, and if it is beautiful inside and I can not imagine.

Looks beautiful close to museum I can say it is just behind museum and it was closed when I visited just had a look from outside.

I only had the opportunity to admire its beautiful and elegant exterior since it is currently in an extensive process of restoration, if I return to Prague it is almost certain that I will know this beautiful and historic place in its interior and in greater detail.

I was here with friends during Carmen opera performance. It is a nice Opera house. Prag in general is nice big city to visit. Many historical buildings you can see here. The cafes are nice too. I love Prag as big city, it has its own flair like London, Sydney, Rome, Budapest etc. I don't like big city like Frankfurt or Singapore.

One of the best places to spend an evening in Prague. You can enjoy a good performance without costing you an arm and a leg.

Couldnt go inside. Will try in the next comming days. Im curious…

A high-rise opera house, quality shows.

I gave the Hotel Opera 3 stars because the good and bad sort of balanced each other out. First, the good: the building itself is gorgeous — art nouveau with crystal chandeliers in the lobby and green marble steps to enter. The breakfast had many choices, and I have no complaints there. The bathroom was lovely and clean and well-appointed. The location is very close to all modes of public transportation, restaurants, and shops.
Now for the bad: the front desk staff — never in all of my years of extensive travel have I encountered a less caring, more disinterested group of workers. When I checked in, I had to wait for the clerk to finish with a guest who obviously needed very extensive explanations for something. Okay, I can live with that — he was there before me. Then he left and my check in began. The previous guest returned, and the clerk stopped my check in to spend at least 5 — 6 minutes with the guest. I finally received my room key without a welcome or anything of the sort. I went to my room and decided to go exploring. When I asked at the desk about transportation, it appeared that I had requested such a Herculean task that when another guest came up, the attention was immediately diverted away from me. So I left with no answer and no help. After that, I never bothered to ask the front desk for anything and never once did they acknowledge me when I entered or exited the hotel.

Excellent opera performance. And a wonderful place right in city center.

Very nice experience. See an opera where Mozart has already played. Priceless. Buy your tickets in advance on the Internet. Also the tickets are really cheap.

Not a 5 Star Hotel per se BUT a 5 Star attitude and that's what counts. Hitting the Gym everyday was a PITA but once they found the right guy to 'unlock' the door I was good. Great Czech Breakfast and Awesome Hospitality. Noisy streets due to traffic and proximity to highway overpass but after a day of seeing Czechoslovakia I slept like a baby. No American Shower but you get used to it. Very conveniently located and able to walk all over Prague from here…

The place is amazing, but presentations does not match what is sold, it's a trap for tourists, good music but not what you pay for. (we pay to hear an advertised 5th and 9th synfony and that didn't play at all, also advertised 60 musicians in the play and there were only 42). Good to go only once to know the structure of the theater.

Unfortunately under construction? Barricade all the way around.

Such a beautiful place! Must be visited if you come to Prague!

Fabulous and imposing! To see! A monument among the most fascinated in Prague.

For a brief stay is not bad.

Sumptuous hall with totally over-the-top baroque decor. Very beautiful, with plenty of photo ops if you reach early. We saw Tosca: the soprano was fantastic, the tenor not so much. Great production, very classical and true to the period. The Opera is easily accessible by foot or public transport (it's practically right behind Wenceslas Square) ; if you are wearing heels, cobblestones may pose the usual problems, so maybe you'll want a taxi (call for one, don't hail them from the street). Everyone was very dressed up; I'm glad I did too even though there is no strict dress code. For booking online, make an account first with the Narodni website; it'll keep giving errors otherwise and ticket booking will be a frustrating experience. Remember to take a printout!

We arrived at 10am, but they let me check in early, helpful staff, lovely small hotel. Its not perfect, but if you looking for a tidy and lovely hotel, its a great choice.

The room is grandiose and the acoustics are perfect (Verdi's Aida)

Very pleasant stay in hotel from Sept. 19, 2015-September 22, 2015. Well located close to the historical city centre. The room was very clean and the staff. Very clean and excellent breakfast. Very friendly and professional staff (including by assistance when our luggage was lost on a stopover. Reception called the airport and handled the issue of the loss of our luggage and even lent us a cell phone charger to help out us).

Super insider tip is centrally located on request underground parking (but expensive and walk 10 min) the only thing bothering otherwise super clean well English speaking staff.

Nice and beautiful hotel near old town. Service quality is excellent and better than "brand" hotels.

Dated rooms, not especially clean, service not very attentive, some distance to old town, but with good tram connection and nice reception.

The area around this hotel is not very glamorous relative to some other parts of Prague, but it's not terribly far from the old town district, and the hotel itself was fine. The rooms feel slightly dated but I had no major complaints about them, especially because I got a great rate. Wi-Fi would have been nice, but the free wired internet connection served my purposes well enough.

Were at the beginning of January 2011. The 4 star pulls no, more like 3 plus. The reception understand Russian, but speak Russian categorically does not wish Internet under the stairs in a kennel and on space rate, call the city a pleasure to pay. Breakfast-not Shine, the standard for hotels, 3 star, but it 4ka. Wanted more diversity. Bathrobes brought only when requested and in conclusion — it turned out that we have the hotel's 240 CZK, while the mini bar is not touched, and to explain, what for to us the reception could not have and that is ALL. We have not paid, but not nice.

We are going there for a lunch and the menu is perfect. Still changing and delicious.
