Sanitation not up to par. Food not good. Resort is very rough with many hazardous areas. The only good thing is most staff are very friendly.

Love this hotel, the location is just perfect It's what dream holidays is all about. How it had picked itself up from the last hurricane is beyond comprehension… everywhere looks fantastic. Staff are just as enthusiastic as last year. This is our second time and we love it still. Thank you everyone in Sol Cayo Guillermo.

Mold in the room. Nothing special about the food. The bars were all inconsistent.

Quite the best hotel of the Sol Cayo Coco, with a better maintenance and a spectacular beach (near playa Pilar) I think that it is a better option than the sun Coco and the Melia Buena Vista.

Very nice and hard working staff. Beautiful place. But poor resources/quality of materials/equipment — almost everything brakes/broken. Craftsmanship is weak. Supplies run out everywhere all the time. This place lacks good management. Hotel staff are amazing but they have little to work with… also room service mostly "didn't happen".

Dated structure and poor food both in the presentation at the buffet and in the freshness. Better structure at the Cayo Coco of the same chain.

The service is not very good, the food is terrible but the beach and ocean are wonderful. The rooms are a bit worse than other hotels, the bathroom was spotted by cockroaches.

I was a month ago excellent attention, beautiful place, the ugly days but the warmth of the girls and the boys Q encouraged the best! They make you enjoy the same way! Thank you all.

5th time to Cuba. I booked this resort for 8 family members. The resort is a quiet little gem. I love the fact you can have a view of the ocean from lobby and pool. Great place to relax. Beach is beautiful! Rooms are clean with new beds. Love the wooden cathedral ceilings. Lots of clean towels and hot water. Drinks are basic but good. Food is all good especially the lobster dinner which was delicious in the cuban restaurant. Staff all friendly and helpful. Front desk helped with anything we needed. Dancers are the best I've seen in cuba. Just so talented all of them. Weird no toaster for toast in buffet. Lots of fresh buns pastries and little breads. Lots of work is being done continually to get the place back in shape.

Hotel 3 1/2 * With access to the sea. The beach is simply sublime and cleaned daily. The rooms are clean and well maintained.
The staff are very welcoming, friendly and friendly. There is entertainment every night for the younger ones and for the older ones.
On the food side, it's cliché, but it's Cuba. You will not live a great gastronomic experience. But the buffet offers a nice selection of dishes where you will find enough to satisfy your appetite.

Nice hotel though with some flaws, building and service. The best reception people and the bar Tocororo.

Needs improvements. Staff is great but the hotels need to invest so clients can have a pleasant stay. Food lines were awfull.

Beautiful place with huge beach. Food not very varied but good for Cuba. Nice staff. They were severely affected by Irma and in my opinion they opened some rooms too quickly. Our (208) had no office or chair, lack of electricity from a few drops of rain… Did not look like the pictures of the rooms that we see on the Internet. But if you're looking for a nice beach this is the place.

Very nice people, dimpatica and affectionate, but the hotel lacks details that makes the Estafia not of the 4 stars you have in the entrance.

A good 4 star resort on Cayo Guillermo/Cuba. There is everything you would expect. The standard, however, is not quite as high as one would expect. The leisure facilities on the other hand are quite good. I would not want to spend several weeks here but for a week to relax on the beach quite recommended.

Hotel not ready after the hurricane last year. Food was good and beach was amazing. Will try this hotel again once they fix the damage.

A little rough around the edges but overall this resort was good. As a kiteboarder, you can go right outside the hotel or you can ride 5 mins down the beach to a glassy flat spot. Food choice here is much better than other resorts. Visual ambiance/aesthetics of the place is a little less than other resorts but after day 1 it doesn't really matter or make a difference. We had endless hot water for showers and a bug-free room with AC that was too good. Apparently not all others were as lucky. The maid service was really great, we got two bottles of rum, beer and cola in our fridge and it was replenished when emptied. Daily bottles of water too. Never went thirsty. All in all, the place is good, we were just a little surprised at first but after the first sleep and after walking through other resorts and trying their food, we really grew to like the place.

The worst resort I've ever stayed at. No ice, no towels, rooms are nice looking but no working fridge no working phone. Bad service. This place is clearly having management issues and they need to be solved but every time you bring up an issue it gets dismissed with no apology, no effort to fix it, no nothing. Don't come here!

I had a great stay at this hotel! The beach or Talk! Breakfast was not very varied but they were rich! The room was large, not very modern but super clean. We got one that had a view to the main hotel pools so the view was amazing! Would return without a doubt!

Bad experience. Lacking services and structure left in abandon. Poor quality of food, we were OK in 3 out of 4 of the travel group. However the beach is wonderful and the Cuban dancing body very qualified.

It is a hotel that is very much come to less, sloppy, bad food, dirty tablecloths, the room is spacious but sloppy, it rained inside and you could not open the door. The managers did not answer or resolve any claim. The beach is very nice to look at, but not for bathing. The Pool A disaster. I had 5 nights and only stayed two and asked for hotel change.

I found the staff to be really nice, nothing to say, the rooms were clean, the lobby, the pool and the bar was amazing. On the other hand, I found that the food was OK and cold (always the same menu except a few exceptions though), the woman who made our room never made our bed she simply folded sheets and covered and put them in the wardrobe. She put our towels clean or what have it cleans the last after being in the toilet… I had a lot of misery to open my room door all week even after reactivating my card many times. The toilets were not clean either. It is necessary to take into account that the hurricane has passed but I think that should not put everything on the back of Irma. I spent a beautiful week in the sun.

Great place to go friendly staff. Great beach and nice pool. Unfortunately the hurricane irma hit it and we got moved before but by all accounts they are rebuilding it.

Hotel does not live up to 5 stars. Large Hotel not well maintained. Spacious rooms, but some old wallpaper sometimes ripped. Evidently stuccoed old bathtub, shower microphone detached from the wall. In short not a 5 star! Good cleaning. Restaurants not always open at all hours, reduced evening entertainment! I have been there in August which for them is low season… perhaps the reduction of services is due to this. But for this reason also the prices should be more reduced! In any way I recommend to book these facilities The loco… Never from Italy, prices are completely different and more competitive.

Hotel deplorable. Our room had a leak so that if it rained you had to change the sheets so I could sleep dry. The food was really bad, the two specialty restaurants were deplorable, especially the Ranch, is a true hotbed of mosquitoes (as almost all the hotel), The gym could not be used of the dirty that was and the amount of mosquitoes that had. Not had enough ice so that you could not drink cocktails like Mojito, Daiquiri… In four nights, we were not able to try a cocktail. We put two claims (when you could, because it was full of customers complaining about and we gave as a counter-providing a bottle of wine, the same of the buffet so it was rather an insult rather than a courtesy. Shameful. Since then the best thing is the beach, a place best not come out as you devour the mosquitoes. See that little piece of paradise made hell of hotel worthwhile. The pool is dirty and filled with people, dirty swimming with clothes and with drink. Since then do not go to this hotel, and if you do not have more remedy, a lot of luck because you're gonna need it. Total scam as above is not cheap. Look for another in the area but this is not. It is not to the height of a Sol Melia.

The hotel is quite precarious. The people working in it, THE BEST thing that has! Excellent predisposicion and very good vibes. The beach is paradise.

Lovely location and amazing beach. Hotel is clean and most staff are friendly and helpful, especially the gardener with the Kestrel. The beach is straight up to grounds of the hotel so no distance to get to the beach and plenty of sun loungers. It's one of the best beaches I have seen. Food is okay (plenty of fresh fruit) but the rooms have the worst sound insulation I have ever experienced. You can literally hear every word spoken and every single noise made in the room next to you and I am not exaggerating! It's as if they're in the same room as you (which is a shame as it's a reasonable hotel in most other ways). If you don't want much sleep this is a good hotel. If you do want some sleep this is not good unless the people in the room next to you go bed at the exact same time as you and get up the same time but there is not much chance of that especially if you have young children and they have no children.

Fantastic place beach out of this world staff very good defo will be going again.

We were told that the maids would fill our fridge with one bottle of water per day if the bottle was less than half full, which we quickly realised was not true as almost every day we had to call customer services because no water had been left despite the fact we had drank the entire contents of the bottle The maids would also not arrive to clean our room until 5 in the evening Our toilet in the room leaked all over the bathroom floor, into the corridor area and under the front door covering the stoned entrance and front balcony with a foul smelling water. We called customer services and informed them that the toilet had leaked, it smelled foul, with the response of ''if it smells, can't you go out?

Awful hotel do not stay here would love to know how people had such an amazing stay?!? Would give it 0 stars if possible Staff try but are too overworked lesy and bony were amazing Cubans come at weekends and make it even worst Food is awful it is by no means all inclusive THIS IS NOT A 4 star more like a 2 star! Amazing beach that's about it.

The second time I stayed here. Great staff and service from everyone. Very close to the beach and pillar. Very easy to get about the island and cayo coco. Excellent for fishing.

The beach does everything! Faint and chic!

Stunning location with direct beach access. Food not up to much especially in the alacart restaurants. Most of the rooms need a bit of updating especially the ill-fitting door into the rooms. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful bars kept running out of drinks and glasses. Despite the negatives it is still worth a visit just for its beautiful location.

Deserves no stars at all. Horrible stay. The hotel is very rundown, dirty, smelled like urine, and is overrun by COCKROACHES! (even in the buffet… disgusting! ). Every time it rained, the lobby floor would be soaked because there were holes in the ceiling that let the water in. The entrance to the club was in the middle of a pond, and the strong smell of fish made you not want to go. But when you did get past such a disgusting smell, the music made you want to leave. You'd expect better from a country famous for good latin music. The rooms had a constant musty smell. They don't change the towels, or any toiletries. We had to ration the soap, shampoo, and toilet paper for the duration of our stay because they wouldn't give us anymore. The public washrooms looked like they were cleaned by a blind person. Horribly maintained. Some toilets didn't even flush or even have toilet paper. The soap dispensers were also empty all the time. The entertainment wasn't enjoyable at all. Bring lots, and I mean LOTS, of tip money or else expect the employees to not treat you well. Would NOT recommend ANYONE staying here, save your money and go somewhere else. This has been the worst hotel I've stayed at out of all the vacations I've ever been on.

I only gave this hotel one star because that's the lowest it can go. I wouldn't even recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. The hotel lacks repairs, everything is old. It is not how it appears in pictures at all. Our stay was absolutely horrible. The food was terrible, very few options to choose from. There were also small cockroaches that were in the dining area, within the buffet. Birds were constantly flying into the dining area, picking at the food and walking all over the buffet food. The meal times were not convenient at all. There was a huge time gap between meals. So if you didn't load up on breakfast, since they didn't provide snacks in between meals, you would be left starving until they decided to serve lunch. Our room had gigantic cockroaches everywhere. It also reeked of sewage. The bedding smelled like it hadn't been washed in a very long time. The towels were never changed during our stay. Basic toiletries were never replaced when finished. Instead of replacing dirty towels, the employees would fold them and leave them on the racks as if they were clean ones. They did the same for the bedding. If the toilet paper finished, it was a struggle to get even one roll. We had to use napkins instead. The showers did not have reliable running water, I was left covered in soap and shampoo mid-shower because the water stopped out of nowhere. I had to wait a very long time for the water to come back.

GREAT PLACE FOR A VACATION! I've been to Cayo Coco 7 times. Hotel Sol Cayo Guillermo is by far the best Hotel!

This is a beautiful resort, unlike the rest of the peninsula and very natural. Between giant palm trees and trees, there are individual 1-2-storey bungalows, so you always have something for yourself. You can take kilometres of beach walks, play beach volleyball, go snorkeling or take advantage of the range of diving and kitesurfing. For Kiters, the spot is a dream, as there is relatively little going on on the water and you can kite down the coast even at slightly higher waves to a spot where the water is extremely shallow. The wind yield is great! We were not so enthusiastic about the food, but meat fans should always find something at the buffet. The rooms were clean and cleaned regularly. All the staff of the hotel were exceptionally friendly, open and cordial, without exception!

In need of renovation, as some parts are looking pretty down and old now. the staff are fun and helpful, they remember who everyone is and they try to get as many people having fun as possible. It was a great experience.

Very disappointed in the amount of hiccups and poor service we received. I have to say though, the restaurant and bar staff were fabulous. As for everything else, it was enough to make us want to go home early. We arrived after 11pm and obviously tired from travelling. We were sent to the wrong room (had paid extra for bungalow but was taken to a standard apartment-style room), and went right back to reception only to be told "Come back tomorrow to fix it. " So we said fine, it's late and we're tired, and we slept in the room for the night. Headed back to the lobby at 9am to "fix it" and we're told there were no clean rooms available. We decided to upgrade to the "Adult Club" on the other side of the resort in hopes this would help, and were told to check back at in an hour. An hour turned into 12pm, which turned into 3pm, and was eventually 4:30pm when we got to our room (meanwhile, we had been sitting poolside with our suitcases all day). When we arrived in our room, most of the amenities you pay extra for to upgrade to the "elite" club weren't even given (mini bar, water bottles, beach towels). Needless to say, our first 24 hours were very aggravating. We were also without running water for a day (and I mean NO running water, which included our toilets! ) and did not have clean towels for 3 days (I don't mind reusing the same towel two or three days in a row by any means, but when I say we had no clean towels, I actually mean we did not have ANY towels).

I have been going back for several years to my great pleasure for the professional staff at the beach the climate what to say more. We are very well and the management does everything to make us well.

The place is paradisiacal but the attention leaves a lot to be desired. At lunch or dinner in the common area get them to serve you something to drink is an odyssey. The food is regular and the drink acceptable.

BUWN service within the entire facility.

My worst experience, a total loss of money. The rooms are a lack of respect, everything has rust, the bedspreads have scent to guarded, the air conditioner has a characteristic holor, I had to kill a cockroach in the room, the rusty mini bar Also, the old furniture in short getting to pieces.
The service super bad, everything was finished, there was no tomato juice, the rice in the buffet always hard, little variety, no seafood, lack of cutlery and attention but give gratuity.
This is quality of camping not hotel. Invest your money in something better and enjoy your stay more.

Picturesque, bungalows and food good, slightly overflowing.

The hotel is beautiful but the entertainment staff and the people in general make your holiday truly unforgettable!

Wonderful holiday in the midst of nature without high-rise hotels in front of the nose. Good and plentiful food, a great sandy beach and a very dedicated staff. Just beautiful.
