A wonderful week surrounded by such friendly and helpful staff. The beaches are incredible and the poolside is equipped with a lot of chairs and shaded seating. The entertainment at night was fun and good for all ages.

Excellent hotel, worth every penny, what kindness from all the staff, it's amazing I feel super here, the food great and the drinks.

Excellent attention from all workers. The food exquisite and very well elaborated, in general we are pleased with everything, a wonderful installation, congratulations to all.

Generally enjoyed this iberostar, however, they had many locals staying on my visit and they have no idea how to behave in a resort, playing extremely loud music (nightclub level) at the pool at 1am isn’t cool, screaming and banging on doors all through the night every night also not cool, then while waiting for the pick up to head home we all got eaten alive by bugs and 3 days later still itching like crazy. The food was better than other Cuban resorts. Not enough shade around the pool or loungers for that matter. Kids club was closed which made for a long week as a single parent hoping for some time off, in fact I’d have cancelled had I known this. Staff were friendly and helpful. Covid testing for unvaxed kids between 5-12 was a waste of money as no one wanted to see it.

All bathrooms need to be checked once per hour. Lobby and pool washrooms never had toilet paper. We learned to carry our own supply all week. Bar was constantly running out of whatever you were drinking but for a $5.00 tip they could find a bottle. Staff needs to enforce pool rules and add a few new ones. Do not feed birds! French fries and other foods were in the pools. Diaper aged children must wear swim diapers or stay in wading pool. Cigarette butts were in the pool and all over the deck. NO glass in pool area. No reserving sun chair, lol its your staff charging $10.00 a day to reserve chairs.

We did not receive a fridge restock all week and even had to buy our own water for our room. Resort was out of milk and orange juice 6 out of 7 days of our stay. None of the public bathrooms at the resort seemed to be cleaned all week — no toilet paper in any of the stalls, sometimes no soap as well. Resort is listed as 4 stars but I would say it’s more like a 2-star. Rooms were noisy (paper thin walls), can hear everything in the hallways. There was no entertainment “schedule” — some nights there was a show, other nights not — just was a waiting game each night to see if a show came on or not. The bathrooms at the theatre/disco were beyond filthy and were not cleaned the entire week we were there (again no toilet paper or soap either). A lot of cross-contamination in the Buffett area (using the same tongs for uncooked meat/cooked meat, etc). Cheese and other meats seemed to be “carried over” from lunch to dinner time. Most of the stuff were pleasant and helpful (some of the buffet staff, grounds staff, front desk staff) — however, some were rude and didn’t seem to like their job at all. Entertainment was severely lacking, but my partner and I decided to do our own thing and go snorkeling, excursions, etc). We feel that we very much overpaid for our stay at this resort, and would definately not return.

The staff is very welcoming. The beach and the paradisiacal sea. The hotel very clean. The renovated rooms are comfortable. The buffet although limited in choice is ok. Quality/ price very interesting.

It has been a wonderful stay, all the service staff, the buffet, the lobby bar, the specialized restaurants have been of excellent attention, the workers always very attentive for guests to be pleased, I really take an excellent opinion of the hotel, I want to mention chef Yoanky Lara who was very attentive, the cause of a 3-year-old to eat with an exquisite meal, thank you all. Also to the waitress Isabel who attended us in the block of Holguin, continue so that the Daikiri hotel goes on the rise.

Beautiful location of Cuba this hotel fully met my all inclusive needs during my stay. I recommend everything about it from the staff to the rooms to the food.

Not the great luxury but small hotel warm, clean and friendly and smiling staff. If not too expensive it's good value for money.

The accommodations are like haciendas not hotel rooms — very clean and we have an amazing ocean view with a nice patio. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. We like it so much we are planning another trip here very soon.

We were here from November 10-17 for our wedding. We had 41 people and 4 of them left for a newer resort. The ones that stayed quickly fell in love with the staff, the smaller size which was perfect for everyone to find each other, the great food and the amazing beach/pier which was perfect for snorkeling. The beach had more seaweed than I have ever seen before when we arrived but the workers were out clearing it the next day and had it in great condition in no time. We went to a bigger resort the second week for our honeymoon and everyone that came with us missed the staff and all the little charms from this resort.

This is a budget resort where the locals who can’t afford a nicer place go to. The Pullman or Jardines del Rey is much better.

The place was generally nice staff were friendly the beach was great I even met some really nice people there, but the mosquito situation was insane you could not sit for two minutes and not get swarmed, we were confined to our rooms most nights because of that, I have a four year old daughter and she was itching non stop. I would go back but I would be bringing heavy duty bug repellant.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here in july for 2 weeks we had the most amazing time the hotel is clean the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us I would definitely recommend it and hopefully we will be going back there in the future 5☆

The best hotel in the fall … good food treatment. Animation and good overall everything.

I did not get my room until after 5pm, some staff were very rude, not friendly at all, no beer, my margarita taste like an old Sprite, it was made with local rum, safe was broken along with the closet door, well I will not be back there.

I have decided to stay here more than I thought I would, this hotel has a wonderful friendly atmosphere that I cant seem to separate myself from. The service is impeccable and the activities they have is a plus. Would definitely recommend.

Will definitely not be my first choice. Ever. Pay the extra money and go elsewhere. The room was like a motel room, our top sheets had brown stains on it, our bed sheets ahad all kinds of body hair on them after being freshly changed, our balcony door wouldnt close all the way, we had no power for a full day, the toilets wouldnt flush when the power was out, no explanation given to any of the guests as to why the power was out or when it would be back on. The food was bland (but thats Cuban resorts for you).
The staff was very nice, they give you ONE bottle of water every OTHER day. If you buy a bottle on the resort. It is 2 pesos. You have to ask guest services for bottles of water.
They make you pay 2 pesos per day for the safe and the front desk staff is not welcoming.
The desserts had flies on them as they werent covered. Pretty much all the food had flies on it as it wasnt covered. The cooking staff, wait staff and general labourers were very nice and super welcoming. The beach is nice, but the beach bar closes at 3pm.
Dont bother going to Pilar beach either. The beach at the resort is way better.
All in all it was a terrible resort, luckily I was with great company and still had an amazing vacation. The 2 stars are for the general staff who work hard every day and smile at you regardless of your sun damaged drunken whithered state … and the geckos which kept us company on our long beautiful walks to the buffet.

The hotel doesn't have any vegetarian options. The cleaning was very bad specialy in the rooms and in the restaurant. The beach is amazing. Overall experience of the hotel in a scale 1 to 10, a 4.

I wouldn't even give this a one star… Arrived at the resort, got escorted to a dirty room with broken furniture, light switch hanging off the wall and broken door handle so you couldn't open the patio door. Room smelt of damp and had mould in places. And the last straw for me after having moved rooms three times was watching the cleaner clean the toilet, she sprayed it then wiped the toilet with a towel… Food was bland, tasteless and most of the time cold. Entertainment was poor … All in all had wasted 3 days of my holiday. I wouldn't recomend this place to anyone.

I had a wonderful time at Iberostar Daiquiri! From the moment My boyfriend and I arrived all of the staff was so helpful and welcoming. The rooms are very clean and the food was delicious! Wait staff in all the restaurants and bars were quick to make sure I had everything I needed! The entertainment staff were great and did a great job of making sure everyone had a great time! And the shows in the evening were amazing! I will definitely be coming back again! Thank you!

Definitely the best food that we had in Cuba so far! These grilled lobsters in the picture below were served during the regular buffet dinner! And the overall resort: beach, pool, shows, rooms, friendliness of the staff, value for money… are the best that you could get in this beautiful country! Recommended!

What a great resort! Its family friendly, and not a lot of parties. Came here the end of April/early May. It is not over crowded, staff are wonderful, the service is exceptional! The room is spotless every day. We will definitely come back again.

Great place to stay in Cuba. Only negative I can think of was that the food was not too varied. I felt like I was eating the exact same food every time I went to the buffet. Please include more vegetarian options and maybe source halal meat.

First time I went to Cuba. I was impressed with the buffet and super service. The beach is so beautiful. Sad part is that the resort was damage by hurricane. I will be coming back to this place again for a longer time. Thank you to the staff and the management. Janina Johnson.
