How to write our disappointment The pool under construction and no compensation The room never cleaned properly or then you have to love the dust Forget by the person who does the cleaning to give us products for the shower And today forgotten of all the dirty laundry in our room Very very disappointed — at The Westin Zagreb.

Visited the pool… got told they were closing early (8 instead of 9pm). We asked why and they shrugged their shoulders. Decided to swim 25 min is better than none so went for a swim. Forgot towels. When I went to ask for towels the male employee yelled at me for using the pool. Then he yelled at me for not signing in. I told him I wasn’t told to sign in and I didn’t have my glasses (I was standing there in a wet swimsuit). He continued to yell at me to sign in. 3 times! I repeated my response. I’m blind without my glasses. He tossed me the towels and said GO! When we got dressed and proceeded to walk out, he yells LADY. LADY! Lady! (Embarrassed as the lobby of the gym is full of people watching tv) I stop and ask what, he says “sign in lady “. We walk back and my daughter tells him he needn’t be so rude to me… his response “I’m going to get even ruder if you don’t listen to me”. We walked out.
Then we went to the restaurant upstairs in the main lobby and all the staff were watching tv. I said excuse me 3 times and go no response. So I tapped the waitress on the shoulder and said “excuse me, are you working or just watching tv”. She comes over extremely rude to me angry because I poked her. I told her I did not poke her I tapped her with 2 flat fingers because she didn’t hear me the 3 times I said excuse me to get her attention. My daughter was afraid to order food after that for fear they would spit on it!

Nice place for relaxing… With casino too. Only day time, it have a door to go through from hotel to casino. Night time got to walk from main door out. Will be too cold to walk during winter n inconvenient when raining.

Expected better from a Westin. Window was dirty (on the inside). One of the water bottles had it's seal broken. Hallway carpet is showing its age.

Location is a bit far from the old city historical sights but a couple of blocks from museum's. There is a commuter rail stop just across the street very easy to use. They have clean and comfortable rooms. The food was ok but we only ate at the buffet for breakfast. The staff was very helpful and friendly and easy to communicate with.

A beautiful hotel in the middle of Zagreb. Ask for the rooms higher up, you will enjoy magnificent views of the city. Don't forget to visit the upstairs terrace bar. The restaurant is pretty good, the morning breakfast is full with sweet and salty and the buffet has an interesting price.

Our go to hotel when visiting Zagreb. Facilities are as nice as any hotel available with a strong western flavor. Rooms are larger than most Euro hotels. Short walk from the square and right on the tram line. Restaurant serves a wonderful breakfast and the lounge is comfortable with available outdoor seating. My only issue this trip was with the A/C in my room. Couldn't get it cool enough to sleep comfortably. But that aside, it will be my first choice for my next visit to Zagreb.

Try to get a newly renovated room. It’s a world of difference. The location was excellent with amazing views of the city. Breakfast buffet selection was alright and it’s proximity to town makes this place a gem.

Nothing superfluous, everything is logical and thought out, I liked it.

Nice hotel in Zagreb, slept well. Friendly and professional staff. Clean rooms and reception area. The outside of the hotel looks somewhat worn but the inside is nicer than the outside. I would prefer if the air conditioning got a bit colder in the room but maybe I didn't adjust it all the way — — I did have it at 17C but it felt like 22C. Anyway the location is fabulous and is totally walkable to the city.

Great ambience. I had a great view if Zagreb from my hotel room. Staff are friendly and ever so helpful. I had an earlier than expected check in and the reception staff were very supportive in getting me a ready room. Staff are always willing to help and smiling. Breakfast is good and there is variety. The hotel facilities are great! I will come back. Again.

Excellent location! Especially to mobilize in tram. The. Hotel gives you the option of renting tennis in case you forgot them.

Very efficient and polite staff. Hotel rooms are nice and comfortable especially one on the Corner. Bfast is not that good as not so many options but decent. And hotel is withing 10 mins walk from city downtown.

Always the best. February 2018, Delux Suite. Family stay. It will be my Slavic blood, it will be that it is vent years that I travel, but I do not understand them… I mean I do not understand why an Italian professional can not spend 250 euros per night here. First the, security, watch a bit of license plates all — entry to understand that you're in a place with international summits, secret but inaudible agents. The elevator is a, Borat room size, very relaxing. The rooms from the 6th floor up towards infinity, are jewels of relaxation and cleanliness,. King-size beds, large open-plan area with superb views of the city and its surroundings. Bathroom with WC, bidet, large washbasin, shower and bathtub, 2 bath as in the rest of the world. Room service varied and punctual. Bar and restaurant to cater for all, groups, families, single couples. Thank you for existing.

Overall OK and delicious food. However, some bits look old and tired. Heating in room was not working very well and it was either freezing or boiling hot. Curtains in room did not close properely.

Hotel strategically located near the Opera House. Recently refurbished, it offers everything you would expect from a 5-star Starwood. The staff Breakfast buffet very assorted and excellent quality.

The food was bad (dry, repeated, rather cold…). The personal not nice and some even unpolite. The room great and the swimming pool nice warm.

Nice hotel with fairly good location 20 min walking distance from downtown. Unfortunately, the air conditioning system was turned off since September 23 was considered between 2 seasons. The room was very hot and management decided that it will not turn on the AC despite the heat. They sent us a floor fan. I felt that this was not good enough and let the management know about my displeasure. Will not come back.

It is unfortunate that a hotel of this category does not provide the services agreed with its customers, make mistakes, do not take care of these, and do not provide a satisfactory solution for its guests.

Still here booked a triple room told staff before we were husband and wife andd our son they gave us a room with three separate beds so had to wait at midnight to change our room beside this our friends who were with us were given a room which was already occupied by other guests so one can imagine what a hassle. Each evening after returning from a day out had to call reception to either get us towels or body wash or faceclothes apparently all maids who were taking care of the room were not aware that we were 3 in the room. Air-conditioning not working reported each day was never repaired at breakfast time each morning had to ask waiters to get me 1teabag to do a pot of tea — incredible this went on for a whole week.

Had a really pleasant stay here. It's just in walking distance to the city center, but still in a quiet and nice area. Good service, rooms are big, and a slight eastern atmosphere.

Perfect place to stay and visit Zagreb. Everything is close by and the accommodation is of very good quality. The staff are extremely friendly and the service is great.

The Westin Zagreb is in a convenient, relatively quiet location, just outside the main city center. All of the staff members were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to provide a great experience. The hotel is currently undergoing a major renovation of the guest rooms. The renovated rooms are spacious and modern, with beautiful bathrooms and all the conveniences you'd need. Despite the ongoing renovation, I was not disturbed by any loud noises during my stay, I could barely tell they were still hard at work. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the gym was not exactly as advertised. The gym is a separately owned and operated facility within the hotel building, but where most hotels have 24-hour fitness centers, access is limited to the business hours. Opening at 6:30am made it difficult to take advantage of the facilities. Other than the gym, I had a wonderful experience here and I would stay at the Westin Zagreb again.

Not sure if the staff actually talk to each other — but confirming a late check out (13:00) and have the cleaning staff enter the room at 12:15 whilst in the bathroom and again at 12:45 really isn't professional! Gripe — having a swim in the pool and being manhandled by a senior citizen that I need to share the pool… wtf? It's in a gym! I was SWIMMING and there were several old people standing in the water and telling me to stop swimming and splashing water… Big disappointment — not sure if I will stay there again considering I'm a regular visitor (and citizen) of Croatia.

The power point to recharge our devices is located at the writing table, not nearer our beds. The drainage in the bath tub is bad. The room looks drabby. The next person must wait for awhile for the bath water to drain out. The view of the city from the room is unblocked. Despite switching all the lamps, the room still felt dimly lit.

Guests for 2 nights during a congress. All Perfect.

A typical Westin. Otherwise the location is excellent! Staff amazing! Looks much better from within than from the outside, sticks like a soar thumb among all the amazing architecture surrounding it.

A bit potrëpan, but the service is good.

Very nice old school luxury, mahogany looking wood, nice fixtures etc. Rooms equally nice. We were on a package tour so this hotel came with the deal and no disappointments. At $102 per night advertised here on Google maps we would not have chosen it as we are budget travelers and are satisfied with motel 6. Go ahead splurge!

Last time I was here, there was no Wi-Fi in the rooms. Hope they changed it by now, most of people don't have ethernet ports.

Stayed here about 4 times for a business trip. Super clean, staff was awesome, super location. Easy walk to a lot of sights. Breakfast is amazing.

Hotel was clean and modern, and staff was always helpful. Restaurant was also nice, and food was always good. Very good location for walking around Zagreb, and the tram line stops along the adjacent street.

Ignore the Communist-style architecture of the outside of the building; the inside has been brought up to date and the rooms are very comfortable. You get exactly the same as in comparable Westins everywhere — beds, Wi-Fi etc. When I was there the hotel was packed, and the staff at the front-desk and in the restaurant and bar were run off their feet. They were pleasant and attentive (all spoke excellent English), but when the hotel is at capacity, the management needs to consider if extra staff should be brought in.
