I loved the charm of the place. Our first night we were in a room upstairs with a balcony that was really lovely. It was really warm and celing fan kept us comfortable. The lodge has a gate where you can pull your vehicle in for security we really liked that. You have your own bath but privacy really ends there. The beautiful balcony is shared space separated by a curtain. The second night we had to move to the annex house. Full house which was nice spacious and very unique, however there was no microwave in the kitchen. No air but lots a free standing fans. There was no sense to lock the door because you could push the back door open, a little stick held it closed and the front bedroom window you could pull open and step in. I wasn't particularly bothered by the lack of security but my husband was. I will say it is a unique experience. Free breakfast would be a nice addition. We did get coffee that was great and fresh pineapple. I would return here only if I had a room upstairs. Also I found the rate was too high, $168. Two nights doesn't sound bad, however no air, no TV, no way to feel really private without shutting off your means of air flow. Owner was very nice and helpful. The place was clean and comfortable… and a unique experience. I would stay again with better expectations and I would negotiate a better rate. ;-)

Rosa Lodge had a wonderful terrace and was perfect for our stay. The rooms were spacious enough and Stephanie was a huge help in recommending people and places. We were comfortable but still had the sense that we were travellers in some far away land…
