I would not recommend this hotel at all! Srly, worst service ever, the Manager does not show up when needed — I wonder if they even have one to be honest…. Rooms are NOT like ocean view as they say. Lastly, you gotta be reminding everyone what you ordered. Note: The food and drinks manager is the only one who apologizes and understands about customer service. Rates are overpriced for sure! Get better!

The place is not as advertised spectacular, the service lousy, reception lousy service, not worth what you pay a place to never return I 👎 do not recommend it.

From the moment we arrived and until we left, they provided us with excellent service. Very friendly all the
personnel. The facilities and the room are very nice and comfortable. On the property we could see several sloths, monkeys and frogs. The breakfast is quite complete and the food in the restaurant is very rich. Hopefully we'll be back soon.

First and last q I stay in that place. That hotel is abandoned, very little light, in the wooden corridors it is completely dark it is very dangerous to walk like this and with worse rain since the wood becomes slippery. The pool q is in the area of the rooms is abandoned, and in the other pool if you want to bathe at night you can not xq there is no light, the wood of that area is also fatal, dangerous, the bathrooms of the pool abandoned … In the rooms you have nowhere to hang clothes. The food is bad in the restaurant you fall leaks if it takes😣 in end it is not worth what you ever ❌❌❌❌ pay. I do not know where they get q are 5 stars❌. The only thing q rescue is the attention of the staff!

The cleaning team stole my belongings. The manager claimed this type of thing "never" happens. At this point he asked me what I wanted to do 😶🤨 Umm. Dear manager this is why I reported it to you, so you can take proper actions. I was not refunded in full for my stay, nor did the cleaning team return the stolen items. After that my stay was unpleasant as I would pass by the reception and I would get stares from the staff and the manager. Not once did he check in after that. Terrible stay, I recommend do not trust you are in a "good" hotel because apparently you can robbed even when you are paying alot of money! My stay was in September 2021 and 8 haven't recovered since from anxiety having to be alert over my items anywhere I am now. Oh there are green flies, the dangerous ones everywhere, and tons of bees where you eat. It is not pet friendly as kicked us out of the pool area when our dog was just chilling on the floor next to our chairs, nowhere near the pool. They do not have pet beds for different sized dogs only for small dogs, and other amenities for our furry family members? Forget it!

If you like open drug deals and loud room parties of 16 or more and rooms that smell of bleach and bad service this is the place for you oh and flies 🪰 in your breakfast.

What a great experience. Staff was always helpful and aware of our presence. The location is ideal close to everything that one would need. Restaurant was excellent we also enjoyed a short walk to la nena restaurant that we recommend. When we visit again this will be our spot regardless of the drive from San Jose well worth the trip. The hotel simply spectacular. Great attention from all your staff. The only thing that nothing else, I would pay more attention to the state of the rooms, the mattresses are not very comfortable.

Here is what I loved about this place: -Diego, the guest services person, was an absolute pleasure. You felt as if you had an immediate friend who genuinely cared about your trip, your activities, and you! He's a very hard worker, funny, fun, and a total asset to your stay. -The beach across the street from the hotel: warm, clear waters, soft sand, and a mini restaurant and bar, all of which are lovely. There are comfortable hammocks and lounge chairs there for you to enjoy. -Very clean and modern rooms with lovely patios. The room is like a five start hotel. -Great pool. -Friendly staff. -Nice free "welcome here" drink upon arrival. -Located in the best part of Cochles. Note: Don't expect a 5-star American hotel, as there is no gym, etc. It is a 5-star Costa Rican hotel. Irrespective, I would definitely stay here again. It was lovely!

Excellent Hotel. Everything is done to make your stay unforgettable: the decor of the rooms, the garden, the swimming pool, the beach and especially the restaurant.

This is a great place to chill and spend some quality time, rooms are well equiped surrounded of great natural environment.

Too much concept and not enough cool… The rooms are white from the floor to the ceiling it's funny when you open the door and rather scary in the long run. The restaurant on the beach is lacking a bit of simplicity. Not the ideal place to live a rainy day…

The room was very clean, the room was very clean and the staff were very friendly, the rooms were very noisy, the breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly. Unkempt. Healthy breakfast consists of strawberry yogurt… Poor value for money.

The hotel is beautiful. Modern and cosy. They change the color décor every day and the staff dress up to match. Very original.
Great location right next to the beach and surrounded by greenery. The beach is spectacular and the Beach Club area of the hotel is amazing.
For putting some glue on the restaurant staff was not attentive and efficient.
But the best of all was the treatment we received from Jorge Fernandez: unbeatable.
The scoundrels of Best of Costa Rica organized some lousy displacements and made us waste a lot of time unnecessarily in buses that remade the road previously traveled and Jorge put all his effort and dedication in helping us to fix the Agency disaster.
He didn't have to help us and he still did. It was helpful and super proactive and the best of Le Meleon by far.

Of the 5 hotels we visited in our Costa Rica trip the best. The rooms are super clean, breakfast good and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Went to Noa beach club. Looks pretty hip, but not very Puerto Viejo. If you want this kind of thing — over priced cocktails served to you on the beach — try Jaco, or better yet, Cancun.

Very good and friendly staff. Help to organize activities and overall aid in anything you ask them for. Clean rooms, reliable Wi-Fi, convenient location with a wonderful beach — you could go miles along the beach in either direction. However, plumbing is bad, toilets are often clogged, room magnetic locks are not reliable, restaurant prices don't match the quality. Breakfast quality is mediocre, we even skipped free breakfasts to eat in the nearby French brasserie. The good thing is that there are at least two good restaurants in short walking distance and many more in Puerto Viejo. Keep in mind that part of critique stems from the fact that we paid much more than normal for the room and it was not up to this high price.

We arrived and no one helped us with our suitcases. We opened the door to the room and it was flooded. We waited for it to be cleaned and when we returned the air conditioner dripped and kept wetting the floor. There was no hot water and they didn't tell us how much it would take to fix it, so they moved us to a smaller room. The Jacuzzi by the pool was colder than the pool. Some friends were in another room, also without hot water, and as there were no more rooms and after a day they continued without solving the problem, kindly invited us to change hotel. A day of lost vacation. We ended up in the Magellan, Recontra recommended!

The two good things first: beautiful vegetation around the hotel buildings and nice place to enjoy the caribbean coast. But everything showed wear and tear. The concept of white rooms is not a smart thing because of the dark sand. When you have white furniture and equipment it is so important to keep everything perfect clean. But it was not. The quality of service was below expectation: the guy at the reception was really unfriendly, breakfast service was very slow and in total it seemed that the staff was annoyed having to deal with guests. The beach front first looked great but when you looked closer you find garbage and dog poop. Sad that noone felt responsible to clean this up in almost 3 days. At last the food at Noa was standard and very expensive. This hotel needs a full renovation and staff training.

Very nice hotel, the rooms are amazing, loved the Swimming pool. This place has 2 issues. First, the service is super slow, if you want to eat, you'll need around 1:30-2 hours. Also, the new restaurant, Nao, was poorly built, it looks like they didn't take into account the rain, in a restaurant in between a tropical rainforest, we had some issues with the rain, and the waiters were soaking wet because of the rain, the restaurant is open so if you want to move between tables you are going to get wet. The service is also not so good, the waiters were very slow (they took 20 min to serve us sour drinks and the restaurant was empty) and several times we had to ask for our orders twice, and in the dinner they messed up our orders (we had to wait 20 more minutes for some plates). The place is overall good, the beaches around are nice, but the service is horrific. I would recommend going there, just with lots of Patience.

If you are looking for a great VIBE, Puerto Viejo is second to none. And if you looking for something a bit upscale for this off the beaten path paradise, look no further than Le Cameleon. Lastly, if you want the best tour guide/LOCAL COOKOUT IN THE MOUNTAINS, ask for Junior. Amazing!

Prepay! The internet is terrible in this part of the country. Had numerous problems with my chipped credit /debit cards… including one issued in Costa Rica! Had to call Barclay to do a manual authorization just because of their faulty equipment. Major hassle. Put a damper on our trip to the Caribbean that's for sure. We will be going to the pacific side for awhile. Now I must admit that the accommodations are quite nice! Beautiful pool. Breakfast was good. Coffee excellent! Very Expensive though for this side of the country.

Our air conditioning in the sitting room and the fan did not work. We had asked 3 times to get it fixed. Finally the last time they came up, their suggestion was "just wait it will come on. " It never did. Our sinks in the bathroom never had hot water. Our room was run down with poor fixtures abd and the TV took a magic trick to work. The restaurant had excellent food just not a large variety. The location is out of town, which is a good thing. However, there isn't anything to do around this area. The hot tub was cold, so no relaxing there.

My husband and I stayed here for 10 nights. I am posting this on our last day here. We absolutely loved the hotel and their staff! They were always very helpful and happy! The food at the beach club is wallet friendly and delicious! The restaurant never failed to impress us either! Chef Andres is the best around In my opinion! Ana Rosy at the beach club was always smiling and made sure we were taken care of! Melissa was our main server at breakfast and dinner at the restaurant, and she was just fabulous! Always going above and beyond! Jonathan was our other server and he was very very good also! The manager, as well as the main daytime receptionist were always super helpful and spoke very good English! They would call a cab for us almost every day, and they would be there within 5 minutes! I would definitely stay here again! The hotel itself was very clean, and the maids change the colors of wall hangings and throw pillows every day, so each day is something different! The beach area is nice and plenty of lawn chairs, plus you can sip on your drink right at the beach! They will come serve you! also, we were able to spend many moments talking to one of the owners (Chen)? Not sure if I spelled that correctly, but he was truly amazing! He went above and beyond to make sure our honeymoon stay was the best! Please do yourself a favor and book here! You will not regret it! Laid back atmosphere, quiet around the rooms, and good music and drinks at the beach!

The place is amazing! Everything is not far away! The breakfast at the market (the restaurant at the hotel) was incredible with an amazing view in the middle of the jungle! Totally worth it! Be aware of the mosquitos!

The best hotel on the Caribbean coast Costa. Boutique style, tasteful, excellent personalized service and a beautiful beach area (attention to the sea: it is quite dangerous, since Playa Coques is a beach where surfing is practiced and does not have lifeguards).

The place is magical just more want to leave here. The staff is really more than attentive. On the other hand the hotel restaurant for dinner is very disappointing going to the village full of restaurants to discover. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very nice, surrounded by a bunch of vegetation (which I don't like but many people do), reception was very friendly when we arrived. (positives) 1. The rooms, overall. Nice and simple decoration, makes it look very clean and stylish. Enormous bathroom (but with no jacuzzi), SKY satellite television and free Wi-Fi in the room. 2. The benches and beds by the beach. It's great for relaxing on the afternoon. 3. Exclusivity (which can be caused by the high price of the rooms), it makes it a peacefully not-crowded place to stay at. (negatives) 1. Weird noises at night, like the sound of animals scratching the windows. Even dogs and roosters can be heard at night. 2. Restaurant is horrible, especially the room service. We ordered for dinner and the food was untasty and highly expensive. I recommend visitors to have their meals on Puerto Viejo, there are way too many options downtown. 3. No car parking. The cars are basically left alone on the street. At least the place is quite safe and we had no trouble leaving the car there for two nights. It's a place worthy for its price, but the restaurant should not be considered by visitors. We would go back, and have dinner in one of the many restaurants nearby.

Super hotel. Very comfortable and comfortable rooms. Facilities of the hotel very good and the restaurant is great. We were 3 nights and put me a really good Burger I had ask me before leaving. Very friendly service and swimming pool and common areas very cities.
