The room is lovely, lots of cleanliness and all the hygiene measures in the common areas is excellent and the afternoon chocolatito delicious! The trails are beautiful for clearing and exercise.

Highly recommend, beautifully decorated lodge.

Very nice and courteous staff, lovingly furnished rooms and a great Breakfast. Bookings to activities could be carried out on site.

We had a lovely stay here, everything was just perfect! the service at dinner was really amazing! Of you go to Costa Rica this is a place you should visit!

My partner and I were traveling through Costa Rica and somehow managed to stumble across this amazing lodge. We were immediately greeted (Matt actually came to our car offering an umbrella in the pouring rain! ) and as we came into the lodge we knew we hit the jackpot. The views as soon as you walk in are breathtaking; there was a delicious smell coming from the kitchen, a fire starting in the fire place. Winning. Things only got better as we were shown to our room (also with an AMAZING view), a super comfy bed and even a TV (not even necessary when you have amazing views to look and amazing people to know! ). We spent the majority of the evening upstairs by the fire while we enjoyed a fantastic dinner cooked by Leah, and had great conversation with both Matt and Leah all evening. We also had a very tasty breakfast the next day! We only regret not staying longer! If you get the chance on this place, don't pass it up. The place is amazing, but Matt and Leah will make it memorable forever.

Amazing place, we loved the atmosphere, we felt like at home. The decoration is very nice mixing modern and vintage. The staff was super nice and friendly. We did a couple massage for $70! It was very good. My husband loved the pancake they do for breakfast. I have to say they were delicious, in between the French crepe and pancake. I highly recommend that place!

Fantastic hotel with great grounds, facilities and excellent rooms. Breakfast and dinners were also great with fresh local ingredients.

Lovely hosts beautiful facilities. Fantastic atmosphere and charming breakfast.

The place is a little isolated. If you have a means of transport it would not be a problem to travel to nearby places like ' La Paz Waterful Nature Park ' or ' Volcan Poas '. Anyway, in this establishment they have cars (taxis) that cobrándote a rate (for me, a little excessive) take you anywhere you want.
Regardless of all this, it is a place surrounded by nature where from the window of your room you can see the hummingbirds flapping around. Very beautiful and magical.
The facilities were great. Large bathrooms, very clean and rustic and very luxurious. They took great care of the details. I really liked the detail of putting a chocolate on the pillow and the bag of hot water in the form of a teddy bear on the bed. Play areas with billiards, library, living room, cinema… Spectacular.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Staff are friendly and there are loads of little details that make you feel like special guests. The minute we got there, we felt so relaxed and it was lovely just lounging in the sitting room, reading by the fire. The breakfast was delicious — best pancakes ever! We also did some of the trails that you can do from the lodge, which was a good intro to the local vegetation. Would highly recommend this lodge!

Very nice Place, quiet. Very comfortable rooms with a beautiful view towards the Poas Volcano. The food was very good. Recommended!

Charme, love and an eye for details. Bequtiful place. Check out the gaming room. You will no find many hotels with one of these.

Great experience, great place to relax and relieve stress. Easy to get there by car. Friendly personnel and always willing to help you.

Excellent mountain hotel.

One of the best places ever. Very nice rooms, very good room service, excellent restaurant (we had dinner and breakfast). Best beef ever eaten (coffee sauce), products were all local. Breakfast with self made roasted granola, milk products of outstanding quality, fresh made juice. I would have loved to stay longer. Main house interior is exceptional, very cozy, nice fireplaces, spacey, you feel like in a huge private home. Also nice architectural extras like special windows, concrete floor with wood etc … highly recommended!

We only stayed here one night, but it was nice and cozy, maybe even romantic. Only problem was that the room we got smelled a little musty — not enough to complain but I wouldn't have wanted to stay more than one night without addressing it.

A friend and I just spent two night at this wonderful lodge. We loved our beautiful rustic room. It was very comfortable! The food served here is locally sourced and was delicious! The service was excellent. There is a library with a view and a comfortable sitting room with a fireplace! This place is magical! You have to experience it!

Good location, very cozy atmosphere, friendly and professional stuff, breakfast was just impeccable, clean rooms. They also have a sweet library with a fireplace, would stay here again with pleasure! Thank you guys!

I've been more than once and will take friends there anytime we're in the area. Great attraction! Just get there well before 10 AM. It gets cloudy after that.

Family Radek Germany a very wonderful, very well equipped rooms, spacious bathroom. The staff very friendly and obliging. The food products from own cultivation was excellent.

The place is not on the main highway. To get there, go west on 120, just south of the current marker. The entrance is about. 3 km down on the north side. You will drive on a dirt road for about. 5 km. it's a very beautiful place. The rooms are quaint and small, but very nice, well kept, and not too small. The grounds are very beautiful.
