Excellent attention of all the staff, the gardens and surroundings give an added value to the rooms that are already great in themselves.

They were very helpful and attentive with my mom, very comfortable price and a wonderful view from where one is eating, getting there is super easy.

Last June, check out Hotel Granpas for its services to serve a group of 36 people. From the beginning the attention was of the highest quality. Management had the cordiality to help and collaborate beyond their responsibilities. They gave me an attentive treatment, focused on meeting the needs of the group. The treatment is extremely flexible and when something is not within their competences they are kind enough to give an attentive and satisfactory explanation. The staff is the best, all attentive and willing to give that extra mile as long as the guest feels at home. The restaurant of the best I've ever tasted. The atmosphere of the Hotel is extremely familiar and the setting is spectacular; Enjoythe garden views and see the city of Carthage at night simply spectacular. All this and more is Hotel Granpas. The price is fair and it's worth every penny you pay. In Carthage it's and it'll be my first choice. My congratulations to Manager Gustavo Fernández and all the staff of Hotel Granpas.

Fantastic place… the evening we arrived we were a few minutes late after their restaurant had closed… and really didn't know where to go after being on the road all day, well the desk staff asked their chef if he would reopen and make us dinner… he did and it was the best meal we had since leaving San Jose… Its the little things that matter and will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Costa Rica ~ Pura Vida.

About the only decent hotel near Volcano Irazu. They have a very beautiful garden!

The hotel consists of several rustic cottages in landscaped grounds. The rooms are large and simply furnished. The hotel is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area, E. G. To the Irazù volcano.
