Can’t say enough good things about this place. Sadie and staff bent over backwards to make our stay one of the most memorable b&b experiences we’ve ever had! If you want a true Costa Rican experience, don’t hesitate to book this fantastic gem of a place!

Beautiful views. Serene. Peaceful.

High up with a beautiful vista this B&B has unbelievable views of the valleys and surrounding volcanoes. The room are very roomy and extremely clean, the grounds are groomed well and there is a inviting pool overlooking the valley.

I went for my birthday weekend with my boyfriend, was so peaceful and beautiful, defently coming back to this paradise.

The onlyh thing was that at night or during the day was no staff around so for an emergency or the night we stay in we weren´t able to ask for a plate o extra stuff for our room.

My husband and I came to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and this place was ideal for us. Stunning views and a peaceful and pleasant getaway. Wonderful hosts — accommodating and informative.

Lady that seemed to be the manager was extremely unhelpful. We explained my daughter has a phobia for dogs the first day and the lady in charge promised it would stay behind the fence but it was loose all the time and we had to ask at least five more times to put it behind fence. She even lied that it was there when it was roaming about pissing on the grounds near the rooms and our ‘villa’. We could not enjoy the terrace nor the pool because of this and we explained numerous times but she did not care and kept lying. Also the cleaning was quite strange with the help unplugging the regfrigarator full of food and moving our stuff to strange places around the room even in our suitcase. Did not feel very comfortable about this but it seemed we did not lose anything fortunately.

I am not sure how anyone who actually stayed here could give this place other than the highest rating, but to each his/her own I suppose. The view is unbeatable. I was able to see both Volcán Poás and Volcán Turriabla blowing smoke and ash. The flickering lights at night across the valley to San José are mesmerizing. Watching the rain showers move across the Central Valley was also a special treat. One of the more overlooked aspects of Vista Atenas is the proliferation of wildlife. I had nearly 50 bird species in three days on the property and walking the road above and below. There are several trails cut through the dense forest which also allow the opportunity for birds and other wildlife. The number of butterfly species of all shapes and colors was also amazing. I highly recommend this place. Although most people are merely passing through, I think it is worth a side-trip to spend a few days. Thanks to Vera Seidy and staff for a great visit.

Vista Atenas is a little paradise of happiness! Vera the owner is very welcoming, you will feel at home. This is our second visit and probably not our last. A magnificent view of the mountains and volcanoes in the distance. Nature is wonderful, birds and butterflies, a small haven of peace awaits you. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. It's just Pura Vida!

I visited B&B Vista Atenas last winter with my girlfriend and it was fabulous. The view is spectacular and the surroundings are really relaxing. During our vacation in Costa Rica, we used this B&B as our headquarters in between small trips.
I recommend this place to anyone who needs an anchor for their trip in Costa Rica. The staff is also really nice and helpful, always ready to help and give advice about activities nearby.

I have been to Vera B&B on a number of occasions the view is a million dollar view the staff are kind and approachable very helpful I have had the privilege to massage some clients there it's relaxing place to be I would recommend staying there.

If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay for first and last night in Costa Rica, Vista Atenas BnB is one of a kind. Simple but with amazing landscape views.
