República Bahía Santa Marta Hostel Hostel

Super nice hostel. The beds offer some sort of privacy even in a dorm which is nice. There is a pretty good atmosphere as the swimming pool is quite central in the place, which brings everyone together there. The location is great and central in santa marta. Access to all the restaurants and shops is super easy and a short walking distance.

Santa Marta is a wonderful place and this hostel is just amazing, it has a kind of greek patio with a pool, banches and te rooms are also pretty nice. About te price I think that is worth it and is no expensive. Also is close to te centre of parties and rumba.

Amazing hostel! Has a nice pool with palmtrees in the middle, some nice atmospheric music, safe gates so no random people can walk in. Have been threatened with a knive just in the park front of the hostel but that was at 12pm, and that is just a representation that santa marta is not that safe as a blond foreigner… But the hostel is a really great retreat and if you want to go to the Parque Tyrone or lost city tour from santa marta I would definitely recommend staying here a night or two!

Really great hostel, friendly staff, always ready to help you, comfortable rooms, comfortable mattresses, pool usable late, and on Saturdays they always organize happy hours in the pool. In the center of Santa marta, close to banks and restaurants for the evening, they allow you to leave your luggage at the depot for free if you decide to go to the nearby resorts for a few days, such as minca or the park de tayrona. Good breakfast, lack the kitchen for lunch and dinner, but they are gearing up.

Very comfortable hostel with good breakfast. Inexpensive and yet everything is very new and clean. Due to the construction of the beds one enjoys a certain privacy despite dorm. Staff is very helpful and there is a quick laundry service. Trips to Ciudad Perdida can be booked via the (in my opinion) best provider Expotur directly in the hostel. Location is super Central and close to the beach. Clear recommendation.

Wonderful hostel 4 blocks from the Grooms park, good service, clean rooms and premium privacy and cleanliness, has a pool and a fabulous common areas… For me, it's a 5-star hostel.

Very nice and cozy hostel. Everything is very tasteful. Man can stay here for many days. The hostel is otherwise very new and still suffers from some childhood sickness. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast good. Worth mentioning is the very good internet. The beds are negative: they look very pretty, but they are made of metal; Each movement is therefore very loud, as well as the doors.

Con:Lots of mosquitoes! Both indoor and outdoor. No hot shower, no kitchen. Party on weekends. Noisy. Pro:Friendly staffs, comfy bed, Good location.

Worst hostel I've ever stayed in. It had a great party vibe but we got bed bugs here, the water was cold and then eventually ran out altogether, and the Wi-Fi didn't work for about half the time we were here. A staff member let himself in to our room at 8am and turned off the air conditioning even though it was a private double room. Staff generally unhelpful. For $63 AUD a night I'd expect miles better. As I said, worst experience I've had in a hostel.
