Mano Verde Minca

Food is amazing, views are stunning, beds are the most comfortable I've slept in during almost a year of traveling, close to the trek Cerro Kennedy and to the most beautiful waterfall I've been to in Colombia. On top of that everyone is really, really nice — volunteers, owner and the rest of the staff as well as fellow travelers. Super easy to meet other people as you're always having dinner together. I enjoyed my stay immensely! Thank you so much for everything :)

I stayed 5 nights at Mano Verde. It was a magical experience. The view from the property was amazing — so peaceful and relaxing. I saw beautiful sunset everyday. The food they prepare was so delicious (breakfast COP 15M, lunch 20M and dinner 30M). The staff were very helpful and friendly. They have strong Wi-Fi, clean bathrooms, hot shower and laundry service (COP 10M-20M). Mototaxi (Moto Minka) ride from Minca was a little scary, but it was fun experience (COP 50M each way). Highly recommend it!

I can’t describe how wonderful this hostel is! The owners are the nicest and sweetest people. The staff and volunteers are amazing, the food was great, pure water, fresh coffee, homemade bread…what’s not to love? The views are stunning and the surrounding jungle is an added bonus. I slept like a baby on a comfortable bed, surrounded by nature, waking to wild birds. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when I visit Minca again!

The Manu Verde Hostel is the best hostel I have stayed in Columbia. The location is in the middle of the jungle, you can see and hear different bird species. You have a beautiful view towards the surrounding mountains. There is an incredible good breakfast, lunch, and dinner (two options one for non-vegetarian one for vegetarians, healthy and big portions). The hostel is quite small, so you can meet easily other travellers and can spend the evenings together on the common dining table. You can see the sunsets from the common areas or the hammocks. The location is perfect to start the hike on the Cerro Kennedy Trek, without taking extra transport. The hostel prepares sandwiches or other food, which you can take on the hike. The owner and staff are super friendly and the last three days felt like home. The facilities are great, showers have warm water, drinking water is provided and can do laundry there for a good price.
