The perfect mountain retreat and my favourite place we stayed on our 3 week travels of Colombia. Pilar was an amazing host, and everything about the place was beautiful (including the amazing home cooked food! ). The most relaxed I have felt in a long time at this gorgeous secret — the silence was amazing! And the nature! Pliars hotel and Richards tours are Mincas best kept secret!

Great stay above Minca! Rooms are as shown in the pictures, outdoor bathroom/shower connected to the rooms is relaxing. Our room has a balcony facing the mountains that was fun for birdwatching. Food at the hotel was excellent and they were very accommodating to our food preferences. Tours arranged w/ the help of the owner were wonderful.
I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking to spend a few days in nature.
Tips: if you want to do some hiking in the area, bring real hiking boots. I’d also recommend long pants/jackets to cover from the bugs (and it is cool in the evenings). The road to get to the hotel is rough but manageable in a 4 wheel drive truck or motorcycle taxi.

Have you ever been somewhere and as soon as you leave you begin fantasizing about your next visit back? That’s how this place was for us. A truly special, fantastic hideaway perched high up in Minca. Make sure you have your directions because it is very easy to miss. Once you arrive though, Pilar, the owner will take excellent care of you and make sure you have everything you need. Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip to Colombia. Pilar feels like a friend who is hosting you for the weekend. There were two other couples staying on the property and we all had breakfast and dinner together every day, with Pilar! The atmosphere was just perfect. Quiet, quaint, tranquil and charming. The amenities and the rest of the staff were truly superb, I can’t say enough wonderful things about them. I have to say the most surprising thing for us was how wonderful the food was. Absolutely delicious! Pilar is very familiar with Minca and was able to answer all questions and even set us up on an incredible journey to a hidden wonderful. Honestly, I cannot recommend this place enough. I know this might not be pertinent to the review but one of the couples we met during our stay here has become our new dear friends. We truly had a very special time here. Oh the views! My goodness the views the views the views!

Wonderful and unique experience with rustic charm (mosquito nets required), but if you can get here via the single lane mountain roads, you will be rewarded with views and scenery that will fill up your camera. The owner/manager Pilar, and her staff, provided such a detailed and welcoming experience, from the fresh flowers in your room and dining area, to the surprisingly exceptional menu. If you like an unconventional experience that has all the modern amenities of a quality hotel, stay at the Finca. You will not regret it. We cannot wait to return.

We had requested a room beforehand with jacuzzi but on arrival shown to a room without. On asking why, informed that both out of use as broken. No discount on price for the inconvenience or communication of this beforehand.
Dinner was amazing and similar in previous reviews. Warning: there is no menu, nor is are the prices available. 65COP pp which is good value however.
Dinner is in a separate outhouse which is lacking in atmosphere, would recommend this being taken in the lounge area if possible? Breakfast is included and was 10/10 each morning.
Took a trip with Ricardo and his young assistant. AMAZING! The waterfall trip was informative, adventurous and refreshing. Excellent value in my opinion (contrary to previous reviews, I can’t see how anyone would see this as overpriced)
The rooms are just ok. For this price (£200GBP for 2 nights) the linen should be much better quality, the mosquito nets shouldn’t have holes in and more effort should be made to resolve the hot water issue (either scalding or freezing). Overall, the rooms need to be improved to justify this price.
The key here is the view and the remoteness. It’s beautiful and the staff lovely. However, the quality of the accomodation itself is lacking.

I can't say enough good things about this property or the owner, Pilar. It truly represents the best Northern Colombia has to offer. The surroundings are over-the-top breathtaking. Every angle, every view, every day is stunning. Looking through dense, green jungle to the ocean below, watching fog gently roll in, seeing birds of all colors and sizes dancing in the trees… it's unbeatable. The rooms are comfy and tastefully decorated. And speaking of tasty… wait until you try the 5-star quality food! My goodness! When I lie in bed at night, the memories of this magical place come flooding back to me. I'm already planning my next escape to paradise!

Of the best places I have known in Minca, extraordinary attention from Pily and his team, delicious food, rest with many conditions and quality facilities, much more than recommended!
Recommended to go to one of the nearby waterfalls with certified guides and beautiful scenery!

This place was absolutely fantastic! The hotel has some of the most beautiful views you will ever see of the mountains and the sea! It’s off the beaten path in Minca but it’s completely worth the long trip to get here… you will not be disappointed! Pilar is a fantastic host, she thinks if everything. The food was absolutely delicious! I will be back for sure!
