Very nice hostel where you can feel like at home. Beautiful location with stunning views! Staff is superfriendly and helpful. Warmly recommend!

Don’t bother — booked on Hostelworld and arrived at 3pm. The place was empty with no one to be seen. Messaged and called multiple times over the course of the hour+ that I waited there. As it was getting dark and there wasn’t many places left in town I had to leave to avoid sleeping on the street. No one read the messages and no one appeared to do check in. Place looked really run down tbh so may have been even more disappointed if I actually stayed. If they ever reply to my messages asking for check in I will update the review.

The staff is so friendly and open to talk with. We cooked together for several nights and they will help you out with any questions, no matter if it is laundry or recommendations for hikes. There is a toucan that comes to the tree next to the hostel every morning.

Just a short walk from the village, which also meant that it was in a beautiful and quiet area with an amazing view and jungle all around. It was a very comfortable place to spend the night, but also to hang out at during the day, with lots of common space including hammocks to relax in. The staff were great, and overall the place had a very welcoming vibe. As a bonus, they provide free filtered water and coffee.

A great hostel with a very warm welcome. The place is quiet, clean and very pretty, and the kitchen is practical and well-equipped! And you have a superb view.
The staff are always ready to help, which I found very kind and pleasant.

I had the best time at Dunarinka! Both the hostel and Minca were my favourite so far in Colombia. There was only one bed left in the dorm when I arrived with my friend, so Anderson put up his tent to make it possible for the two of us to stay, which ended up being even nicer than the dorm, cause I woke up with an incredible view of Santa Marta every morning! Since I was a bit ill, I spent a lot of time at the hostel, which was actually great! The kitchen had everything you need. Some pans could be replaced, but they were still functional. The shower (only one in the dorm of 6, which didn‘t cause problems surprisingly) is cold, but that‘s normal in the region and was no problem for me at all. Laundry service is also available for a reasonable price (7k per kilo). The only slightly negative thing was the Wi-Fi which didn‘t work many times when many people were at the hostel at the same time. Breakfast for 18k was prepared my Elsy and very delicious! She and Anderson were so welcoming and super helpful with tips about the region! Elsy showed us the nearby river and Anderson invited us to play football with his friends, which was one of my highlights. I loved it so much that I made several of my friends go there, too. I had an awesome three night stay. All of the hosts I spoke with were friendly and accommodating of any request I made. Ask for food and you shall receive something delicious! (For a small extra charge. ) The setting was quiet, beautiful, and very much at one with nature. I left feeling relaxed and grateful for such a warm welcome. Only less than perfect things were my shower was cold and low-pressure, plus the Wi-Fi won't hold up for much more than sending texts and emails.

They canceled my stay (which I had booked months in advance) 2 weeks before my arrival because of 4/20, supposedly for security reasons.

Really cozy hostel in the middle of the nature. Comfy bed, clean spaces and good kitchen to cook. The views are amazing, sunsets and sunrises are gorgeous, as well as all the many different birds you can watch in the surroundings — there are a few tucans loving to visit the trees nearby!

We felt really comfortable at Dunarinka. The location is beautiful, right in the mountains and you have a view over the valley all the way down to Santa Marta. It's very quiet and peaceful and the town is only 10 minutes walking distance. The rooms were simple but clean. Internet is good. I am working and I was able to have video calls without a problem. The people who run the hostel as well as the people working there were very nice and helpful. What I liked the most were the many chill out spaces, like couches and hammocks. We ended up mostly spending the days at the hostel and were very content with that.

We really really like the place. It is cozy, clean, and sufficient. We travel Colombia for a month and this is the only place that has a clean kitchen that we could say “okay we can make us some food here”. There’re trash bin at every corner. Shared toilet and bathroom are dry and clean all the time and never run out of toilet paper. They have free tea, coffee and water filters. The bed was super comfy and the sheet was really clean as well. Common areas are super nice and spacious. The view and the atmosphere there are spectacular.
We couldn’t ask for more and we will definitely book again if we ever come to Minca. It was an amazing host.

We had great experience in Dunarinka. The owner Mrs. Luz was really nice and incredibly helpful. She gave us advices where to go and what to do. There was fresh coffee every morning and the homemade repellent was always there (very efficient btw). The hostel is in the mountains but 10-15min walking from the village. The kitchen is fully equipped and if something was missing (like extra blanket for example) Mrs Luz was directly there to help. The common area is very big with big table, hammocks and a net for chilling under the sun. Definitely recommendable hostel!

Highly recommend this place! you gonna have a wonderful stay there! The owner (Liz) and they people how are working there (JeanCarlos) are super friendly and helpful if you need something. Such an amazing place to stay whilst visiting Minca. The views over the jungle are incredible. It’s located in a quiet area and the perfect place to relax whilst watching the birds from the hammock. Great Wi-Fi and very kind staff :) would 100% recommend staying here!

Amazing place to relax. Great terrace to watch birds and sunsets. Shared kitchen and free coffee in the morning. We were prolonging our stay here because we liked here so much! The price comparing to what you get is unbeatable. Really recommend for your stay in Minca.
