Magic Garden House

This place is really "magical" in every sense. I enjoyed the breakfasts in the beautiful and open space (with a great view). The secluded garden was inviting, tropical. Nights were quiet; even in the area, weekends can be full of activity. We walked everywhere from there and felt safe.

The best hostel I ever visited. The staff is very friendly, experienced and helpful. The interior design is just next level and the location (barrio San Antonio) excellent to go exploring Cali! The place is very clean and also calm. Breakfast is very healthy and diverse! I would come back anytime!

The place is cozy, breakfast is good (but not much) and the location is good. That’s it.
The bed was not really comfortable, no plugs on bedside tables and the plug in the bathroom didn’t work. Mosquito nets with huge holes on them. And they charge an extra 5% if you pay by card.

Staff at Magic Garden House made my trip unforgettable. Going above & beyond to curate high value custom tours, taxis, and recommendations which locals are best suited to filter through. And given my limited spanish, self planning was too overwhelming. Thank you Magic Garden House!

This is one of the best places I have stayed in. The owners are very nice. The whole place has a very good vibe and energy. It's very peaceful and there are nice, cute lounges to sit and work, or read a book. The terrace has an amazing view. There is also a tiny little "jungle" on the property to just enjoy.
It's in close proximity to a lot of restaurants. There is also a church right opposite the property and its very lively in the evenings where there are many people and vendors who gather there. It felt safe to join the gatherings.
It's a beautiful property and very peaceful.

I had the best time here. I stayed here for 2 weeks to go to a Spanish school close by and I had the best time staying at this hotel. The people were really nice, breakfast was amazing and the location was great. They also have the best dog. He was so sweet.

We were recommended this place to stay by a good friend who has stayed there a few times. He was raving about it.
We spent 3 nights there in March 2025 and he was spot on. It is very special.
When you turn up there is no sign on the door and when it opens, you walk into an amazing oasis in the middle of Cali. It is in a safe location opposite the park and a very short walk to the hub of the historic area of San Antonia.
We were greeted by the lovely Lizceth, who had also been communicating brilliantly before our arrival.
The wonderful charming owner Jaimie, gave us some spot-on local recommendations on where to go for drinks or dinner. She really made us feel welcome.
The rooms are immaculate and have windows looking out onto a courtyard on the ground floor and onto a bright open-air area on the first floor.
There is a terrace with the most spectacular views out across the city and the breakfast room is there too …. So what a place to sit!
There is a kitchen area with a fridge stocked with drinks and an honesty book for you to write in when you have something. That sums up the place…
It did not feel at all like a guest house, it was more like being welcomed into a family.
The other guests were also lovely and generous with travel tips. I suspect this is because of the sort of people the Magic Garden House attracts.

Magic Garden House is located on the edge of Parque San Antonio, which is a vibrant meeting.
Place for locals of all ages. And yet quiet after midnight. The young couple who run the hotel.

A great place to rest, surrounded by nature in the middle of a beautiful neighborhood. The hosts are amazing and I felt at home, I had a wonderful rest and delicious food. I definitely recommend this wonderful oasis in the middle of the city. A great experience.

We really enjoyed our stay ; it is very nicely decorated and the breakfast is excellent. The rooms are very elegant, It is ideally located in San Antonio. The owner has Colombian kindness which goes from the heart. We hope we can come back soon! I recommend 300%! We had to wait one hour for a taxi and the owner helped us a lot and was happy to get to know us.

My stay at magic house was a perfect mix of bed & breakfast meets hotel meets hostel. The location is safe and right in front of San Antonio Park, I traveled solo and met other people to go out with there, and conversed with people at the hotel over the delicious breakfast. The vibe and view of the terrace is also so beautiful, tons of hammocks to chill out in and spaces to sit and chat! Everyone is so kind there, definitely recommend for couples, solo travelers, and even families!

I had an incredible stay at the Magic Garden House in Cali. The place was impeccably clean and beautifully furnished, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, always going out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The location was perfect, offering stunning views and easy access to the best parts of the city. I highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Cali!

Possibly the coolest hotel in the world. Definitely the best hotel in Cali. There is literally no end to the depth of wonder to be found at this homestead-come-boutique hotel experience, in the nicest area of town, with the very best people, the coolest breezes in an otherwise diagonally sweaty city, the best views, and outstanding food, service, amenities.

Fantastic garden type accommodation in the best area of Cali. Excellent communication and local tips for navigating the city. We thoroughly enjoyed the kitchen/patio gathering area and the great breakfast. Cali had a lot to offer and we walked everywhere, even at night. We followed advice to leave personal items which could attract a problem while city adventuring. We experienced 100% friendly locals. We’d absolutely stay here again and recommend this quaint spot.

This place is great and so highly rated because of it’s intimate, friendly, soothing and calming atmosphere.
It definitely feels more like a mix between a hostel (for adults) and a privately run bed and breakfast place. The rooms are smaller, colorful with each their own design, amenities and furnished with older pieces of furniture.
The corridors outside along with the courtyards and terrace offers lounge areas and kitchen area is the hear of the hotel where family style breakfasts are offered every morning, freshly cooked by one of the owners and it surpasses your standard continental breakfast by far! The garden itself seems like it has been neglected for some time but maybe at one point it will be restored to it’s former glory.
Everyone working there has a very helpful and friendly demeanor and is willing to help you with just about anything whether it is information about the city or practical matters. As a bonus there is a cat and a puppy running around adding to the cozy vibe. Definitely a place worth considering unless you desire a more luxurious, modern (and higher priced) accommodations.

This lovely little hostel/hotel is a real find. We loved our stay here, the friendliest people, most delicious breakfast and a great location. I am sure our stay in Cali was 100% better because we stayed here and enjoyed the recommendations from our friends at Magic Garden House. For those that like detail, the shower has great pressure, rooms immaculately clean and serviced each day, a lovely deck provides a beautiful vista of Cali with an afternoon breeze. The common breakfast was a lovely way to meet other people and hammocks around the house allow for a relaxing swing. There is also a clear environmental agenda which was nice to see. We loved it!
