Reasonable price, clean, and very easy to stay at. The security is a bit concerning since there are no staff around all the time, but there are cameras, and the lobby door locks at night—only accessible with a key card. Taiwan is generally safe, but it still felt a little unsettling.
The real dealbreaker, though, was the bed mattress. I almost gave this place five stars, but the moment I lay down, I wanted to cry. The mattress was way too soft, to the point where my back was killing me and I couldn’t sleep at all. I was planning to stay longer, but after that first night, I just couldn’t do it.
If they upgrade the mattress, it’s an easy 5-star stay. Super convenient, clean, fast booking, and the smoothest check-in/check-out process ever.
Overall not bad. The place is relatively new, the rooms are spacious and clean. The location is pretty good.
Cons:
-the beds aren’t great. Too soft and too short.
-the staff is totally indifferent.
-smart TV with no Netflix login.

Calling this no frills budget hostel a hotel is an exaggeration.
Zero facilities, zero service just a very basic room with a bed and bathroom.
Note reception is only staffed during the day, minimal English spoken.
As other reviewers have noted the bed is very uncomfortable. The mattress is so soft it almost feels like a waterbed. There is a fridge in the room but no water, tea or coffee. No handwash at sink, you have to step into the shower and use the shower gel. Go down to reception to fill up from water dispenser.
Location is OK and walk to morning market 2 for local breakfast.
I wouldn't recommend this place, there are better value and more comfortable hotels.
