Divecube Hotel

Can definitely recommend this hotel and indoor dive centre. The rooms are clean, and simple but well-designed.
I went for the freediving course and can recommend Coach Kevin who was patient and professional in helping me overcome my difficulties in descending to a depth.
Last but not least, if you're considering freediving as a course or for leisure, you should definitely consider indoor dive centres like this. Challenging yourself further for better personal best timings/deptha can be the main focus, rather than in freediving in choppy waves (which can be good too for the challenge. )
Cons: just take note the venue is a bit further away from everywhere else. Luckily there's a family mart, about 5 mins away. I got hungry at night haha!

The overall experience is positive with a pretty nice environment. It can be seen that they put quite a lot of efforts in maintaining the cleanliness and constantly keeping the decorations relevant. However, it could be a little too crowded even on weekdays. The water temperature is also set at a pretty high point, making it hard to dive for a long time.

Pros: The hotel staffs are nice. DMs are really nice and skillful, too. Facility is great. If you want to test your new toys or practice skills, this would be your best choice because the environment is very safe. The room (single room) is clean, comfortable and not too small.
Cons: Don't expect too much of the hotel itself. The chair in the room is VERY uncomfortable to sit. Also you can hear hallway talking and other noises at night. No coffee around, only a tea bag in the room.
Suggestions to the hotel: 11. Add a coffee pot in the common area at least. 2. Put a pen in the room. 3. Add more racks (1~2) for hanging clothes. 4. Add more towels or provide them at the pool side. 5. Please replace the chair. Even cheap computer/office chairs are much better the those… :)

I stayed in this hotel one night, before freediving the next day.
The hotel is pretty much everything that can be ridiculous. Prices are totally overrated : expect to pay around 4000$ for a 10m2 shoebox, that may not even have a window.
There is no double bed, it’s all bunk.
The housekeeping is far below average, especially in Taiwan : toilets, bathrooms are dirty.
The beds are extremely hard.
The bathrooms have many flies.
There is no drinking water in the rooms.
But the worse is yet to come : your free breakfast. It was the worse I have had in Taiwan, and I stay equally in budget hotels, hostels, or nice fancy places. The only things they provide are tuna/egg sandwich, horrible old croissants, some salad with old bread soaking inside, and a few fruits. When there is no more fruits and you ask for more, the waitress (hell of a grumpy one today! ) sighs and goes get you an apple that she cuts for you.
Same thing happens when you ask for water, as there is none. No tea either.
Only coffee, and disgusting fake orange juice.
For a diving/freediving hotel, it is more than surprising. I have seen a lot of them and they normally provide the kind of food you should have before diving / freediving : hearty stuff, many fruits, herbal tea, oats, coconut or soya milk, etc.
But not in divecube.
Now, the pool. While the initiative is very cool, and diving in the city is definitely a great thing, here it lacks cleanliness and maintenance. The showers are dirty.
