Adagio Hostel

Overall the room space is sufficient. Good for one big one small luggage if u stay in room for 2 with private toilets. The only problem I have is the washing detergent keep running out of stock. The room consider quite quiet but the pillow is too flat and soft. The hot water can be super hot so be careful. Overall is good with no mosquito which highly dependent on the season.

I was honestly surprised. I paid more than twice as much for hotel rooms in Taipei that didn't even have a window. This building is close to a great night market, although it's a bit far from the local MRT. The room was clean and comfortable, with solid AC and natural light. If you're not from Taiwan, you may be surprised by the fact that the shower isn't enclosed off, but simply part of the small bathroom, but you'll find that it's no inconvenience.
This should be called a hotel, not a hostel, because you have your own room.

I stayed at this place for 10 days back in March. Staff's friendly. Location's great, convenient for catching buses. Train station is not too far away. I usually get a taxi/uber for a short ride to the station if I need to go to another city. Room's comfortable. Cleaning could be improved but overall on standard. To me, it's a decent accommodation as at this price. I'd be happy to come back again.

Hotel lobby is so clean and smelling pleasant when we arrived. There was only 1 elevator but the access through the stairs was easier so it is just fine. The room we had has washing machine and dryer and they give out free wm pods which made it super easy for us to clean our clothes while we stayed there. The only issue we had was that we can hear the noise from hallway which made us think that the noise inside the room may possibly be heard from outside as well. Although its not much of a problem since we were able to rest very well during the nights of our stay. The bed is comfy, TV had netflix and toilet has toiletries provided. Location wise, this is accessible to bus stops, convenience stores and eateries nearby. Very recommendable!

Good place to stay when in Taichung. We got our room half price which made it fairly cheap for what we got. The room was a good size, good bathroom and fairly good Wi-Fi. We got Ubereats and the delivery driver was about to find the location very easily. The air conditioning was incredibly quiet but still very efficient. Even when we were near a main road it was still very quiet inside.
It is quite far from where we spent most of time in Taichung, but quite close to the station which is good.
Overall, a good place if you can get the rooms cheaply.

Hidden gem in Taichung… Large clean rooms. Make sure to book a balcony room with a washing machine. Free unlimited bottles of water, laundry liquid for clothes. PX Mart opposite hotel, 7-11 behind the building. Hit the like if you found this useful.

Friendly service from the receptionists. Although sometimes they are not always there (contact number such as LINE will be provided), but they are very helpful and responsive whenever you ask something from them.
Room is nice too and not expensive. Clean, good and warm light in the room with necessary basic equipments such as hair dryer, full body mirror (70% full). Not a big room but good enough for a solo traveller or even a couple. There is also a small sofa/chair with 2 seats inside the room.

Firstly hostel is a bad name because this thankfully is NOT a hostel, but a hotel.
Service is excellent. Friendly and professional.
Location is incredibly clean.
The only reason this isn't a five star value hotel because all night neither me or my wife couldn't sleep due to the down pillow and down comforter.
Neither of us are people with even seasonal allergies, but good Lord that was one of the most uncomfortable nights I've ever had in my life. I sneezed maybe 50 times throughout the night.
It finally stopped when we used our jackets as a blanket and slept in our clothes and we passed out.
Soundproofing isn't the best as I could hear some people talking but it was faint until the morning garbage truck came that was loud but I was up by then. If you're sensitive it might bother you.
The bed itself was incredibly comfortable. The desk was solid and practically livable. That's what makes this so strange.
I do not know if the reason is because it's low quality down material or if it's the cleaning solutions they used to wash the bedding, but whatever it is, it was not good.
However, I still MUST give this place credit where credit is due. If those items weren't there, this will be a 4-5 out of five value hotel (depending on how sensitive of a sleeper you are) when they switch the bedding.
Taiwan has a lot of crappy places but this isn't one of them.
