There are hundreds of “palafito” lodging options in Castro, but this one rises above them all: Two adjacent palafito houses were recently rebuilt from the water up by the upscale Bledford Project real estate venture, to a high level of sophistication. Four spacious apartments are available, each with access to a terrace facing the water. Every single detail is perfect, authentical and luxurious but with tur local artisans. Gorgeous local woods are used inside and outside the apartments with an interior décor including many authentic local and unique pieces and furnishings. Kitchen is equipped with modern appliances and ice cream! We loved the comfort of the Bleford particularly as the weather in Chiloe can be unpredictable: We were so happy to come "home" and enjoy a simple homemade bought at the market and enjoy the comfort of our room with an amazing view!
The onsite concierge Julius was supremely helpful and welcoming, helping is for our day trips. The breakfast was such a treat: A basket by our door with the most gourmet, fresh and local milk, ham, cheese, jams, fruits etc… Even Nespresso machine in the room! Try their own wine, it is amazing! This stay was the highlight of our trip! Don't miss it!
