Absolutely great place. I stayed in the sister hotel Sunshine Suites for 10 days and came here EVERY day. They have a bunch of night time activities like BBQ on the beach, sunset cruises, and live music. I saw one beach wedding happen which looked phenomenal. The Westin has all the usual rentals and a company that can take you for any snorkeling, scuba diving, stingray tours (basically anything). The hotel rooms were very nice, and it has a great spa in the hotel. Do expect the prices to be high, but I was able to bring my own plastic cooler bottle with a mixed drink, and they didn't seem to mind (everyone looked like they were doing it). You will get caught at least one or two days racking up a pool bar tab.

Westin met expectations. Rooms were clean, towels fluffy, beds comfortable. Pool was great for everyone — expect plenty of kids running around. Gym is good and has everything you need. 7am workout classes are offered for free most days. The beach was amazing — it’s what you’ll get anywhere on Seven Mile Beach. Restaurants on campus were fine, albeit a bit pricey. Nice to have Red Sail Sports right there at the resort for diving and other water sports. Westin won’t disappoint.

We only used the day passes here for beach access and beach chairs. The beach staff really weren’t that great. They obviously only wanted tips. Not a good experience here. The beach itself is stunning. The drinks are expensive, but good. Not many amenities are included. The entertainment staff, on the other hand, we lovely and very polite. Never ate here and never felt we needed to due to the amazing taco/burger place across the street.

It might have been 4 stars before, but since renovating last September, it is definitely 5 stars. We visited last year, and still talk about it to this day. It was a vacation of a lifetime! Recommend staying longer than 5 days, because it was just way too short for this relaxing amazing vacation. Everything about this place was perfect from the beginning. They surprised us with an upgraded ocean view room, and on top of it after mentioning it was for my birthday, they surprised us with wine and sweets in the room. So sweet! Everything was clean, modern, beautiful. Also all the staff was SO kind. I recommend to anyone looking for the perfect romantic getaway, or to relax with the family. By the way, this was all during the end of their construction, so stuff was still going on, and we still thought everything was amazing… so it will be even better now! Worth the $$. The only downfall is the $$ food everywhere on the island, but that’s any vacation you go on. Worth every penny. Would come back in a heartbeat. Oh, and the ocean is the most blue, clear, warm water in the world. Just perfect. Seriously, I have never had anything more perfect, and I’ve been to some amazing places (including Croatia, St. Tropez, and many more beautiful places in Europe) and this to say, beat that. It was just so relaxing and perfect.

Only here for an afternoon. Nice beach but minimally nice if you want to snorkel sad to say. Great buffet lunch with fresh offerings… $15.00 per person. Thus us better than their hamburger for $14.00.

This is a great place to stay for a beach vacation. Luxurious details, very comfortable rooms, and such friendly, attentive staff! We will definitely be back next year. Red Sail Watersports and Cayman Coffee Exchange were highlights for us, but we never made it to the restaurants or the bar… yet!

Beautiful hotel, beach and location. Updated very nicely. Spacious rooms with a gorgeous view and comfortable beds. Large flat screen TV and large bathrooms with modern showers. The best frozen mojitoes at the poolside bar.

My wife & I spent 7 days at the Westin, April 13 to April 20 2018, weather was perfect, water activities were on site, breakfast, lunch and dinner on site were amazing, the combinations of foods in each dish opened our taste buds to new experiences. Our room was recently renovated, very up scale, we felt at home. The people who cared for us were the warmest, most understanding, eclectic group we have ever experienced. With every request the people of the Westin Family provided a perfect experience. We were directed to little local restaurants and bars which again had amazing people caring for us. These islands and the people are a destination well worth traveling to visit.

The Westin has definitely upgraded their facilities! The rooms are more modern. Definitely improved. Beach has been expanded too. Cayman Coffee is a great place to grab a bite and their flat white is better than Starbucks. As crowded as the other hotels, but you're not packed in on the beach like at The Marriott.

Exceptional service. I lost my voice my first day here and each person in service I meet offers me a soothing remedy. Judy in the coffee shop offered me warm salt water to gargle and Dinar at Ferdinand’s made me a ginger tea with lemon. It is kind gestures like this that make me want to come back.

Amazing beach, great food, great service. The staff is very friendly and quick to accommodate. Rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. My only complaint is the location of the safe in the room… It was placed so high that you couldn't see into it and my wife had trouble opening/closing.

Sunday brunch… an amazing experience well worth booking and spending the whole time relaxing with champagne, amazing breakfast and lunch items. Great staff, we were well looked after, it was getting a bit humid outside but there’s limited space indoors so if you’re wanting air-con then book well in advance. The food was well presented — can’t describe so see photos! Will definitely be back for this again! Hint — use a smaller plate so that you don’t overload and then you can try almost everything on offer!

Great location, beautiful renovation recently. The pool is lovely, but you're also right on the greatest beach in the world. The outdoor resistant and bar are always busy, live music many nights, and a great Sunday breakfast or brunch is a fantastic way to wrap up the week.

Lives up. To the Westin brand. Extremely well. Cared for and presented hotel. Poolside on the beach makes for a great place. To relax and have a drink. Staff is friendly and attentive. My wife enjoyed her massage at the spa. Near many local popular restaurants.

Great place for a couple or family vacation!

Stayed one week early February. Hotel looked great, very clean, nice room and great pool and beach area. Staff was very friendly and professional. Expensive place to stay and eat/drink as prices were very high … but it's like that all over the island. Overall great experience! Highly recommended.

We were part of a large group (800 or so). The staff was outstanding, rooms were good. The beach is wonderful! Food was good, the Beach House was above average. Would definitely return!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we absolutely loved everything about this hotel! All the staff were so nice and the newly remodeled rooms are lovely! Not to mention the outside pool/bar/beach area! We plan on going back to grand Cayman and will be staying at the Westin again!

To be fair, we were here the week between Christmas a New Year's. That being said… It was quite crowded and all the food and beverage was easily double what we found at surrounding restaurants and resorts. The rooms were quite nice, clean, and comfortable. On balance, I doubt that I'd return based on the cost.

Christmas dinner buffet for 2017 featured overcooked loin strip, overcooked ham, and even overcooked fish. If it weren't for the sushi selection I wouldn't have had anything positive to say. As it is a buffet for 5 set us back $688 American. Our fault for paying that I suppose. But who am I to expect top notch dining at that price?

Excellent staff. Beautiful beach and ocean view with a private setting. Nice drink specials at night. They had a great activities employee who made everything fun.

If you are like me, then reviews of places mean a lot before booking. I like to be sure I am staying at a safe, clean, and nice place. & especially getting the best for my money. We stayed here for a week for our honeymoon and it was nothing short of amazing. Every single staff member was so friendly and always wanting to help. A special thanks to Kirk at the front door for helping us find our way when we wanted to explore for shopping or dinner. The entire place was so nicely kept, big pool, 2 hot tubs, beautiful beach and water, our room was newly renovated and very up-to-date (we stayed in room 424 & yes its worth it to pay extra for the ocean view), always had fresh clean towels/linens and plenty of beach towels and chairs for all guests, they provided us with water bottles replenished daily, the Wi-Fi worked great, even on the beach; so we didn't have to pay extra for out of country calling on our phones which was super nice, and many opportunities to eat and do things. It was also nice to have service on the beach so you never had to leave your beach or pool chair for a drink or lunch. If you solely wanted to stay on the resort and not leave that was definitely possible. There were many things to do; water related and non-water related, and places to eat (although they were expensive, but always GREAT food). Overall, we were extremely pleased and sad to have to leave such a beautiful place (hotel and the most beautiful part of the caribbean in my opinion).

Went there for brunch. Was really nice. Good food, beautiful view. Maybe more drink choices would be appreciated. Otherwise, very good.

We just returned from 6 nights at the Westin for our anniversary. The staff was amazing and even sent us a bottle of champagne on our anniversary. Resort has been remodeled this year and very nice. Our only real complaint was the beds are not as comfortable as the usual Westin Heavenly beds at out her properties. Maybe that is the last part of remodel since they are still working on the property.

Once again this is a very popular well-known hotel that's been around in Grand Cayman for quite some time I go to this hotel quite often here is another property that is pricey but it's worth the money. If you want a budget this is not your hotel but if you willing to spend I recommend this hotel because you get a good quality products. Across the street from this hotel they are many restaurants that is Affordable that is all in walking distance eating in the hotel it is very pricey. For example 2u. S. Dollar is equivalently two 1 1 Cayman dollar so you have to be very careful. This is not for families and children but you can get by the beach is beautiful and this is definitely highly recommended for honeymoons and for a very impressive date.

Hands down the best resort on the island with the largest amount of beachfront property. The staff and service is great and the variety of activities and restaurants to choose from make it great for couples or families with kids. The views are incredible — this is the only hotel on the island where you can see the beautiful blue ocean water from the front of the lobby doors. If you like to eat and aren't afraid to spend a little more on vacation, the Beach House restaurant is magnificent. Especially if you pay for the beach table dinner at sunset. We happened to be the only table set up on the beach on that night so we literally had the beach to oursleves. All the positive reviews are true. Do not listen to the other petty negative reviews and see it for yourself. Of course you will always have the people that complain and nitpick about price and so on but really if you are coming to the Cayman Islands you can't be cheap. You should expect to be paying a higher price if you want to enjoy all of the amenities the Westin has to offer.

Gorgeous resort in front of a gorgeous stretch of beach. Beach chair setup is perfect: available at no charge, with beach umbrellas, and buzzers to call waitstaff over to order drinks (nice touch! ). The 2 hottubs perfectly flank the pool area and the entertainment staff did a great job keeping things lively and fun after a day on the beach. A few minor complaints were that the pool is a bit small, shallow and a bit more kid friendly than I would've liked. No view of the beach from the pool bar and the bathrooms could use more space around the sink. All in all, I would've given the place 5 stars were it not for the fact that most of it was being renovated. Scaffolding, areas of the hotel being closed off, and noise from power tools is ubiquitous. The staff offered a waive of the resort fee which definitely made up for it. I definitely recommend this place and will be back!

The hotel is a culinary mecca. Chef Sandy treated us to a new appetizer they are working on, lion fish. This pest has taken over the reefs, but they have found a way to cook this most delicious treat. The remodeling of the hotel is being done in such a professional manner that unless you are doing yoga on the beach, you don't even notice. Enjoy your trip.

This is a great hotel. We were here a few years ago it was very elegant but they are now remodeling the entire Hotel. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms have been done very nice. They have a great swimming pool with a perfect view of their ocean. The water is beautiful the staff is friendly. It's a little more on the higher price side but well worth the accommodations.

My room looked clean but did not smell clean. The staff that were professional were amazing. The staff that lacked left such a bad impression. The beach space was lovely. The food was absurdly priced, just walk outside and it's better quality and better pricing.

Service by the beach is okay. Prices are high but this is a very nice hotel with very nice amenities. If you want the Westin experience but don't want to pay for it go to their sister hotel at sunshine inn and suites a cross the road. You will have access to everything at the Westin.

Beautiful hotel right on the beach. Everything is neat and tidy, and the lobby is spacious and air conditioned. There's no end of lounge chairs to occupy, and there is a nice pool too. Drinks are a bit pricey at $10 Cayman, although there is a happy hour from 5-7. Apparently there is no way to get on their free Wi-Fi without first disabling airplane mode; I think the staff are confusing something here, but in the meantime, you'll likely get dinged once with roaming charges for that five minutes you have to turn on your cell signal. It wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't their standard way of getting you Wi-Fi. It's weird.

Wonderful location on a beautiful beach. Wonderful pools and hot tubs. There is daily beach yoga and a nice spa. I would of given it 5 starts off the workout room was a little better, but a wonderful experience.
