We had our 30th anniversary here. Coming up on 40th. Keeping my fingers crossed for a trip here to stay with you again. Enjoyed it so much we didn't want to go home. Room/ service/ Food/Pool was wonderful. Had a surprise welcome basket for our anniversary when we arrived and felt very welcomed by all staff.

Fantastic Hotel, everything you need and just off glorious Seven Mile Beach! Quiet hotel that is perfect for any traveller. Staff were so kind and went out of their way to make our stayunforgettable! My family and I will definitely be returning!

Great location, clean, nice, comfortable rooms. Good grill on premise. Have a relationship with hotel across the street on 7 mile beach so you can use their beach towels, umbrellas, etc.

Absolutely go here for a cheap place to stay off Seven Mile Beach. The Sunshine Grill has amazing fish tacos. A liquor store is a short walk toward the beach and has three great restaurants next to it. Yoshi Sushi is one of them, and it was one of the best Sushi restaurants I have ever ate at. Cost-U-Less is in the shopping area directly North for any food or things needed at the hotel. Living the Dream divers and a snorkel shop next to Yoshi and the liquor store can provide all your Stingray tour and Scuba Diving needs. Absolute BEST of all is that the Westin Grand Cayman is a complete sister property, so you can go to their beach and pool EVERY DAY at no charge, use all their facilities, and sign up for all their events and sunset excursions. You can even use your Sunshine Suites room number there. I would highly recommend this place so you can save some money on the room and spend it all doing everything else in the Caymans!

The service was really good, and the location is awesome! But the food was honestly really difficult to eat. Everything was kind of a (literal) hot mess. They made the burger so tall that you can't put it down without it falling apart, and their signature side is a pile of various deep fried veggies that become a pile of mush… The sandwich my friend had was the same ordeal. Maybe some of the other items on the menu are better, but just not my cup of tea.

We just got back from our vacation last night from staying at sunshine suites. We were truly impressed by the cleanliness, wait staff, and house keeping. We definitely will be back! Thanks for an amazing week, Sunshine Suites!

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Perfect little kitchenette with everything you need. Continental breakfast met all our needs. About 50 steps to the beach. Bought the Westin day passes and really it was great for the beach, but the Westin staff had nothing on the Sunshine staff in terms of hospitality and friendliness. I would love to stay here again. Plus the restaurant was amaaaaazing.

Good place to stay. Friendly service. Rooms just large enough. Access to Westin and beach across the street via a cooperative arrangement.

Sunshine Suites is a pleasant hotel. The room I stayed in was equipped with kitchenette. It's functional but I don't recommend it for a stay if you plan to stay indoors because it's a bit small. However if you're working it's ok for a 2-night stay. The Sunshine Grill on the property is great for food and drinks — meals are big and prices are definitely value for money. Best of all this is the 'sister' property to the Westin and if you're someone who needs a good workout, the gym is absolutey great.

Excellent spot. Great Grill known for their awesome fish tacos! Great outdoor area with great chairs to relax with a good book. Rooms are spacious, have a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave. More like a small 1 bedroom apartment. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Would stay here again.

Haven't stayed here, but I have eaten here LOTS of times. Best burgers and fish tacos on island. Great place for kids too. You can sit outside at tables around the pool. Don't miss out on the flavor of the day soft serve for dessert (complimentary)!

Nice having a mini kitchen with stove top and fridge. Separate sitting area with couch and table is nice feature. Small bathroom, newer vanity but could use updated shower. Nice having access to Weston across the street with beautiful beach. Resturant on premise is highly rated.

The location and relationship with the sister hotel was great. But the sunshine hotel could be cleaner. The toilet needed a through cleaning. The bathroom floor was extreamly dirty. It looked like it had not been mopped and thoroughly cleaned in years. During our entire five day stay I didn't hear or see a vacuum cleaner for the carpet in the rooms. The stairwells were also dirty. We probably wouldn't stay at this hotel if we return to the Cayman islands. I'm wondering if the reviews and high ratings were ligimate and real people.

We went to the restaurant multiple times only to find large wait times. They host was rarely there and we had to wait a long time just to talk to someone about a table. He actually walked by and ignored us mutliple times before finally even asking my name and party size. Then a group came in that missed their reservation by an hour and the host gave them a table ahead of us. We left. We never did eat there. They have a horrible first impression and they missed out on our business. They need to work on their customer service.

Very nice apartment close to the beach and all the animations of Tel Aviv. We return every year with pleasure for its location and its layout.

This motel has clean rooms with kitchenettes. It is an older style motel with outside corridors. It is owned by the Westin across the street. They are slowly updating the rooms. The Sunshine Grill is part of the motel complex. A continental breakfast is included. It is considered a smart option on the island as it is comparatively inexpensive but comes with full privileges of the Westin across the street.

The rooms at every clean and modeled after a traditional motel but with the convince of a kitchenette. The ability to use the Weston's services dramatically elevates this hotel. They are a child of the Weston and guests ate well treated by the Weston staff. There are two separate and distinct Wi-Fi networks which is somewhat annoying.

For the price paid, this hotel falls short. The rooms are nice and comfortable but the exterior could do with an upgrade. The breakfast that is included is pretty basic and all pre-prepared, no cooked stuff. If you want cooked, that's extra. On the plus side, the staff seem helpful and responsive enough.

Food and service are great. Reception and restaurant staff are always friendly and greet you with a smile. Wait times are long at restaurant cause it's so popular with guests. You can visit their sister property across the street and use facilities for no additional cost — Big Plus!

Quite practical considering that puedws to use the facilities of the westin to a prrcio lower.

Love it here… is so beautiful and I feel like I'm staying at alil apartment… the room has everything u need … :) :) :)

Great memories of our vacation. Terrific food. Convenient to ocean and Western Resort. Reasonable prices. We'll return.

Nice hotel with large clean rooms. Onsite pool and free breakfast from 0600-0930 and free dinner at 2230. Family friendly. Free shuttle to around hotel. Hotel is owned by the Westin so enjoy all the benefits of the Westin directly across the street. Minus 1 star for not having toothpaste on my visit. All the stores near the hotel plus the Westin didn't offer it which caused a huge inconvenience for me — but will stay again.

This was a great place to stay! Everyone was so friendly and helpful meet so many of the staff felt like were at home, the room was so spacious. This s our hotel for our visits! Can't wait to get back there!

Great burgers here. Expect a messy plate and greasy hands after finishing one. Come hungry. Try the Kitchen Sink burger.

My review may be a bit biased, as Grand Cayman is my absolute favorite place in the world. This was our first fly-in, and we stayed at Sunshine Suites. Pleasant staff and prompt check-in. Booked a one-bedroom king suite for two adults. Clean room, well-stocked, and plenty of room to not get in one another's way. The king suite comes complete with a pull-out sofa, two televisions, a full-size fridge, and stocked kitchenette. The main office sells (some) beer, sodas, and snacks. Buyer beware: two 12 oz. Coca Cola cans cost me $6/US. Grounds were manicured nicely and clean. On-site dining options include Sunshine Cafe and Sunshine Grille. The former of the two is open for continental breakfast only, 630-930a. Diabetics beware, extremely limited options for you. The Sunshine Grille boasts a full breakfast menu (I highly recommend the omelet with spinach! ). Be sure to come back for lunch and dinner, too! Burgers are phenomenal — and huge! Don't forget to stop by for a nightcap. Sit inside and enjoy a drink while chatting with staff and other guests, or relax around the color-changing pool. Now affiliated with the Westin directly across the street on Seven Mile Beach, as a guest of SS, you have access to all of their amenities-gym, pools, beach chairs/ umbrellas, shopping, and dining Sunshine Suites comes highly recommended by me! Should we return for another fly-in, we'll book here!

Nice property across the street from the Westin. The restaurant is great. Pool looks nice. We only walked the property to the Sunshine Grill. Full disclosure we have not stayed there so can't review the rooms, only the grounds.

Very cozy and peaceful place. Large room with kitchenette. Hotel service at the highest level. I recommend this place for everyone.

First time here and we love it! The staff is great, very helpful and nice. The food in the grill restaurant is awesome and you can cook at the rooms as well. Very clean and comfy, and the Westin facilities are awesome.

We stay here every time we visit Grand Cayman. All staff is friendly, and they always make sure you are comfortable! Rooms are clean and affordable. Most importantly, the grill serves amazing fresh foods!

Very good budget friendly option. Just across the street from the gorgeous seven mile beach. The best part, you can use all the Beach and pool infrastructure from the Westin. Would come back for sure!

Quality hotel for a reasonable price. Make sure you pay attention at check in though. They will charge you an additional $100 per day as a "deposit" which counts towards food and drink. You will get this back if you don't spend it, but still, not my favorite practice even if some people utilize all of the "deposit".

Great staff. That is the only reason this place scores so high. It's fairly feature devoid and the rooms are dated. But the staff are amazing. They are always friendly and there for you.

Quality service and amenities, great location, good value. Sunshine Suites is just a five minuet walk from seven mile beach. It has an excellent restaurant, pool, and outside lounge chairs (in range of the Wi-Fi). The room was comfortable and clean but not exceptional. There was a full sized fridge and freezer. It wasn't very well equipped for real cooking. There is a very good continental breakfast every morning. It is also the best value for I found, with its close proximity to the beach and easy access to the rest of the island.

Great location, restaurant, and staff.

Excellent service both for the hotel and the cafe. You get all the Westin amenities at half the price. Very clean and rather large rooms. Free Wi-Fi and a liquor store right around the corner. I would highly recommend staying here it is just a walk across the street to the beach and you will be able to use everything the Westin has to offer!

The resort is really nice on the outside. The food was tasty and the staff was pretty friendly. The downside are the dated rooms. My room's tub had a huge crack in it and could feel the tub sink when I stepped in it. Rooms could use an upgrade, but they're doable.

Loving visit to Cayman Island and Sunshine suites is nice on the surface. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I don't think the floors are ever washed, which I realized after my first shower. My feet were filthy black walking from bathroom to bed. The worst management decision is presently going on (5-19-2016 12:30 AM) outside my room window. It can only be described as trying to fall asleep at the starting line of a car race. The engine of a pressure washer continually revs up and down while workers wash the sunshine grill. When asked if this was necessary, I was told it would continue at least 1 hour. Tried to call front desk to complain and no answer, which is an effective way to no manage complaints or issues that arise for clients. This resort had great reviews, I guess I am just unlucky to be here at a time when management decisions are bit on the crazy side!

We had breakfast and lunch their 2 different times during our 10 day anniversary trip. All the reviews are true! The food is amazing, the service is with a smile. The way it should be when your on vacation. And its not a $100 dollar breakfast like the Ritz. It's like a 1/3 of the cost but much better!

Loved this resort. At first I was unsure because I didn't see ocean. But realized it was across the way. The staff are unbelievable and the food at Sunshine Grill is to die for… we got deals for everything we wanted to do through the hotel and they helped arrange the transportation also. By far so much better than anywhere I've stayed in cancun or any other place I've traveled… loved it. Plus it was honeymoon they even ga e us complimentary wine.

Very good place, I stayed there for 40 day, the only problem is that the Wi-Fi doesn't works properly in the hole room, and there's no many things to eat at breakfast, but the attention of the staff is nice, very good location.

Stayed for a week in 2013. Most excellent time! Always helpful staff, great accommodations, the Sunshine Grill was MOST EXCELLENT! I would come back in a split second.

We love staying here. The location is great for the diving crowd, the rooms and dive lockers are perfect for the diving crowd, and everything you need is close by. There is also not a bad item on the menu in the restaurant, and it is one of the best eating establishments on the island.

I stayed here for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly, the grounds were immaculate, the room was nice and well-kept, and the restaurant was spot-on.

I couldn't have had a better experience in Grand Cayman! The staff at Sunshine Suites were the friendliest people and so helpful. The Sunshine Grill was so convenient and delicious, we ate there every day! The front desk was always so nice and helpful with everything from what to do, what not to waste your money on and calling us a cab whenever we needed one. It may not be right on the beach but if you want to save a little bit of money and get a little exercise walking across the street to get the water, this is the best option on the island! I will definitely be back.

In my opinion this small boutique resort is a treasure find! The prices are unbeatable but the service is where they shine! It is across the street from the Ritz and placed in the middle of "where you want to be" Business or pleasure, this is your best bet. The restaurant is consistently superior. I would have no trouble eating there every meal. This is the best run independent hotel anywhere. Never stayed in a place where you leave knowing the staff and feeling like you have made friends that will remember you on your next visit. All I can say is try it and I'm sure you will agree.
