Midtown Inn

Locked out of our room at 3am in — 30. Door wouldnt shut or lock, no deadbolt so we had to push a chair under the door so we didn't get robbed or assaulted in the night. Shower was either skulding hot or freezing cold you had to peel your feet off the floor to walk. Toilet was broken and wouldnt stop running the entire stay, never had cleaning service once not even a restock on toilet paper, clean towels or sheets. Worst stay ever save ur money sleep outside.

I had a really good experience at the Midtown Inn Motel. The staff were very friendly—they greeted me warmly, were easy to talk to, and made sure I had everything I needed. The room was clean, the location was convenient, and the best part is that I got all of this for a really cheap price. Definitely worth it, and I’d stay here again!

The service is crazy bad, the reception guy worked like the first day been there, unorganised, he even asked us to get inside the room without giving us the key card. The cleanliness is terrible, you will see some dead bugs on the floor. The smell of the room was bad too. In addition, I paid for thr room on Agoda couple weeks ago before the date, but when we got there to check in, the reception guy said something like the reservation cannot be hold for after 12am, we booked for the correct date, we tried to explain with him, but its was hard to communicate with him, he seems didnt understand why we were trying to say, and he kept asking me to contact with Agoda, he was not able to refund, feels like he didn’t wanna help at all. Was 2am in the midnight and — 15 degree outside, we have no choice, all we can do was just pay for another room there. Thats was a bad experience overall.

Ok so its not the ritz, its a budget inn. Honestly not sure what other bad reviews are all about. But to each their own.
But the beds are supper comfy, I haven't had that good of a sleep in such a long time, tbh.
Tayed for a week before heading back to work. NO bugs, or critters not even a spider.
It was very clean, just how I like it. A bit noisy at times, but not a big deal.
Management is extremely inviting and helpful. Rule of thumb you be polite and courteous and respectful, you get it back in return. And treat the place how you would treat your own home! If anything to change I would say a continental breakfast bar would be a great touch. But other then that, it was exactly what I needed! I'll definitely be back again. Thank you.
And just to be clear I am not a bot, nor paid to say anything good or bad. Just honestly.

Dirty and run down. No hot water. No coat hangers. No coffee maker. Crappy internet. $350 deposit on an $80 room. 😂 I travel a lot and I always get the cheapest room but in this case my best advice is just spend the extra $30 and stay anywhere else. This place sucks.

The guy at the front desk was very friendly and was very helpful. But then we got to the room and when we opened up the door, I was disgusted. The carpet was disgustingly dirty and I refused to take my shoes off and quite honestly, I didn’t even want to sleep in the bed because I was scared there might be bedbugs. The bathroom was dirty and hadn’t even been swept. So I would not recommend to ever stay there even if it’s cheap. It’s cheap for a reason.

My experience DO NOT STAY here! Typical bait and switch. Staff were friendly and welcoming, eager to serve until we complained that there was no hot water. We finally got lukewarm water at 9pm and last for approx. 7 mins and the next morning no hot water. Tiles in the bottom of the shower were cracked and cut my foot. Cracks of light in the door frame were a security concern. Baseboards fell off by the door. Bed was used at best but clean. Staff were rude and horrible to deal with on check out. My advice RUN!

If I could rate a lower rating I would. First I would say yes it's my fault for the last minute booking on the long weekend but… First sign I made a HUGE mistake was the fact the "lobby" is just an old guest room. Once entering the room and getting over the musty smell it was decided luggage would stay in the bath tub. Next the toilet wouldn't flush. Then we tried to cool the room off. Well the air conditioning blew warm air so that wasn't going to work. So let's go for supper and see if it gets fixed. Nope. OK so maybe at least the toilet will flush now. Nope and guess what now there is no water at all! I guess the luggage won't get wet if we stayed. Well we didn't. Three hours of stress, weekend ruined. Decided to drive home and missed the fireworks. I would not recommend this location to anyone. A cardboard box under the Broadway Bridge would have been better. At least we would have seen the fireworks.

Rundown motel, the pictures advertised is nothing like the room I was given. Nothing worked at all, not even the lamp. The bed had paper sheets and paper pillowcases. Walls and ceilings were stained and dirty. Water was leaking out from the wall, it was noisy, it smelled musty. I booked through Expedia, the ratings on there must be fixed. Horrible place, do not stay there, its not fit for anyone. I wish I could add pictures.

After traveling from B. C. And finding that my room at the Travel Lodge had been given away, all I wanted was a shower and a bed to sleep in. The Midtown Inn offered that without any stress or difficulty. I am very grateful to the friendly staff at check in. I know that they have been working very hard to update this motel after it had been neglected by previous owners for so many years. The price of the rooms reflect that they know this is not The Bez. That being said, there were zero issues with our two rooms on both nights we stayed. Everything was clean and the area was relatively quiet for being close to downtown. I would stay again if I find myself back in Saskatoon.

Gave us a room with a window that appeared to be smashed in from the outside. Floor and tiles are rundown and dirty. Didn't expect much for the price but they could at least keep the room clean and safe.
The location is convenient but overall not good. Very close to a noisy train that keeps you up at night. Walls are thin and you can hear people talking outside. Suspicious people walking around at night. Also, the physical lock is extremely difficult to operate and could be a security risk. I felt very unsafe in this inn.
(At least the AC works, but that's seriously the only plus I can think of. )
Don't be fooled by the fake pictures and reviews, and save your money. It's definitely worth it to pay a little more for a better place.

This Motel does not look anything they post on the internet. Rooms were very dirty. They only gave us back half of our money when we decided not to make use of them. The person at the front desk tried his best and was very pleasant though. Definitely not recommending this Motel.

This was the worst place in the world! The staff were so rude, I had to argue with the manager for 2 hours. I talked about how the review’s were bad with them and they said those people were lying. NO THEY WERE NOT! These rooms are disgusting! Bugs, blood stained sheets, hairballs, it was all horrible. Do not stay here! So many people got scammed! Don’t lose money stay somewhere else!

This is the scariest motel I've ever been to. Felt like those motels you see in horror movie. The nice pictures you see on Google are NOT the real pictures. The hotel is smelly and hasn't been renovated in years… which honestly I didn't mind since it was 120$ instead of 400$ compare to all other hotels I could find last minute. But it felt sooooo unsafe. There was no way to lock the door from the inside to prevent an employee with the key to come in. And my instinct just told me this place was unsafe. I couldn't get away fast enough. The guy at the reception did not offer me a reimbursement. I saw some people mentioning they did not receive their security deposit. I will follow up on that in a few days. But at the end of the day, my safety is worth more than 200$.
Update: I did receive my security deposit back.

Would rate 0 stars if I could, while the staff were friendly and accommodating, this place is a nightmare. The reviews for this place are very misleading, being out of town we weren’t familiar with the area. We were Looking for a cheap place to stay and with good reviews, we booked a room here. We hadn’t even checked in before there were alarms going off, and we were approached by a group of suspicious men asking if we wanted to buy cocaine. We pulled up to our room where next door there were 2 intoxicated men sat in lawn chairs outside their room with their room door open, blasting their music. The room was smelled musty and had stains on the floor and couch. As we were leaving a lady who also appeared to be intoxicated approached our vehicle and knocked on our window aggressively asking for a lighter as we were reversing. Don’t stay here unless you’re into drugs and slums, we couldn’t leave fast enough. They did refund our money for our stay which was appreciated, we took it and spent an extra $80 to stay at the Best Western Plus, the best $80 I’ve ever spent.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was disappointed with several aspects of my stay. The blanket in my room appeared to be unwashed and had holes in it. The bed was quite noisy and made it hard to sleep comfortably. The carpet was dirty and did not seem well-maintained. The tiles in the bathroom were coming off, and the room was uncomfortably hot inside. Overall, the cleanliness and comfort level need serious improvement.

Positive: Price was low. Clean, but poorly stocked. Negative: 2 adults staying. Only 2 small towels, 1 wash cloth provided. No hand towels, bathmat, additional towels to dry body and hair, etc. Air conditioner hardly cooled at all. Paid for a Queen but it was definitely only a double bed.
