I did a lot of hotel, this one was a first and definitely the last one!
Let me explain:
"They don't tell you you have to make a $150 deposit, it's only when they arrive that they tell you
" We $130 for the hotel room, the walls are made of cardboard and it was so small that we could literally shit, drink water in the sink and have our feet in the bath at the same time! (it's a picture we weren't planning to do all that) and for that price, lunch is not even included.

Cardboard wall no soundproofing no privacy you hear everything. Unwelcoming staff.

The welcome is great, we are well served, have been 3 years since we come and never disappointed.

About 5 mins away from Quebec City on car, the place is simple and to the point. Suited perfectly for an overnight stay after a long day of traveling, the rooms are provided with a minifridge that helps travellers who are camping, and with kids. Although the floors and beds are a bit squeaky, the comfort level is appropriate for the price. Cleansiness, friendly staff, a cozy environment, and affordability, are all words that apply to Hôtel Motel Le Châteauguay.

Best place to live in Quebec city… less than 10 min drive to all attractions… Nice and clean… beautiful views…

Night from August 9 to 10. Hotel very well, perfectly soundproofed (so to speak we woke up at 9.30am, the parking lot was already empty). Friendly staff, spacious and very clean room. Pool, sauna, jaccuzzi in open access.
Breakfast quite correct especially at this price ($4).

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, good size room with mini fridge. Room is well kept. No cmplaints. Definitely recommend.

Don't go to this place, I had a prepaid reservation and I arrived in the night of my check-in date and there was NO reception. It says on the door that the reception is closed during the night and opens only at 08 am. I called the number on the door and nobody answered it. In the next morning I went there to check-in and they gave my room to another person, the hands-tied receptionist said that she could not put me in another room or even solve my problem. Avoid this place!

My family and I are already staying here in November 2016 we really enjoyed our stay today I made a reservation for this summer but this time in love, when I made the reservation I made a mistake, I called to the hotel The woman who answered me was really nice she corrected my mistake and even reminded me to reconfirm myself. I'm really looking forward to going back.

The rooms are clean. Enough towels. Coffee Machine (with coffee and the) and wine glasses available in the room. Pool and Jacuzzi for guests. Friendly and welcoming staff. Even in a day it's quiet.

A small motel where I like to stop when we go to Quebec. Nothing extraordinary but for the price it is cheap, very accessible by the highway and 15min by car from the city centre, including swimming pool, sauna and gym very nice. The rooms were remade to taste the day during my last visit:)

Pool and spa very clean, but hotel very poorly soundproof. Our top neighbor was visibly on the party all night and his TV very loud. Bathroom very very small but friendly and welcoming staff. For one night it can go on condition that you have earplugs in the ears.

Personnel un peu étrange. Service très "à la bonne franquette". Bruyant la nuit. La piscine est bien, mais froide.

A modern room with an exemplary cleanliness.
The only snag the coat cabinet of the adjoining room closes with power creating a dull thud in the room.
Otherwise I recommend and I will come back.

Not the quiet relaxing place we had been led to expect. Lots of noise especially in the morning from other rooms, some refurb works starting as early as 7:30am were a regular feature of our stay. Loud high pitched humming from other rooms heard that disrupted ability to get to and remain asleep. Parking is free but would be difficult when busy Sauna small but ok off peak Jacuzzi didn't fully work, ok during off peak. Wouldn't have liked to use during on peak times Pool ok size, cold (nice after sauna! ) Fitness centre is a few pieces of gym equipment. Wouldn't class as a fitness centre! Staff, ladies on reception were really nice. Owner seems clueless and lacking in basic hospitality skills. Close to Quebec city and Montmorency falls which are beautiful and a worthy of a visit even in winter.

The motel was nice with big and nice rooms, the value for money is good. When I was there, they had Wi-Fi connectivity problems with the rooms, although they seemed to be working on solving the problem. The staff is friendly and attentive and the breakfasts are acceptable. Although in my stay I did not try them, they have pool, Jacuzzi and spa, which is a nice addition to the stay.

We arrived at the hotel yesterday (January 2, 2018) around 4pm. The lady who worked that day was more than rude. An unacceptable welcome! I understand that she was overwhelmed, but there's a way to talk to the clients. I do not advise you this hotel!

Always satisfied during my stay. The rooms are beautiful and clean. Picsine, Spa and sauna very well maintained.

Lovely place, the best motel I’ve stayed so far. Good temperature control in the room, everything is very clean. Comfortable bed, good Wi-Fi and very good breakfast for the price you pay. Good location to explore surroundings and very quiet although close to the highway. Indoor swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi are free for guests too! Really nice! Taking into consideration free parking, I found this place to be the best from value for money perspective. Be aware of cash safety deposit if you have no credit card.

It's a good quality price hotel well located when in car… But do not expect luxuary… It is clean and decent and there is a pool and free parking.

I went this summer. I liked the most Jacuzzi otherwise the pool a bit cold. The reception was not welcome breakfast the couple was not too friendly with a few guests with children five minutes before the restaurant closes they refused them while they had paid during their stay.

Really good, very clean, comfortable bed, nice atmosphere and breakfast with a nice variety for the price. Bravo! We're going back soon.

"DO NOT COME HERE! " They charge Wi-Fi for $5 + tax and it does not work. Takes minutes to load a single page. Small parking space, staffs not friendly at all. AND NOT EVEN CHEAP! Please, I am saving you guys. Never coming back again.

Nice place for a quick stop. Room was a bit tight with the baby crib we brought, but everything was clean and tidy. We chose not to pay the extra small fee for Wi-Fi or breakfast.

Freshly renovated. Comfortable. But $2 for a breakfast with no big choice. A little ordinary. And the Wi-Fi in 2017 should be included.

The hotel was 10mins drive away from Quebec City, which was convenient to avoid the downtown congestion. Beautiful scenery for walking first thing in the morning as it's right by the water. The rooms were small and cozy, and parking for the car is right in front of the room which was perfect for the rainy weather we had. The service was phenomenal; everyone was super nice and helpful.

Terrible experience! When we arrived at reception the man behind the counter took pleasure in courting clients explicitly and very moved!
For that price we paid a room with double bed in low season in May with Groupon 55 + $ 29 taxes or $ 84 when their website the rooms are available at $ 44
The pictures on their website does not reflect the reality. Our room was very small, packed, beside the bed, small bath toilet… not counting the hidden fees: internet costs $ 5 lunch costs $ 2 per person. Far from everything!
When comparing in old Quebec regular prices are less expensive and most have lunch included.
Moral of the story we were 3 couples and we will more return to this place. Very disappointing.

We had booked for two days. As big as my hand but very clean room. The day after our arrival, we left a part of the day by hanging the bookmark after the door handle to cleaning our room. When we get back nothing had been cleaned. Going to the pool, we met a maid and asked him if it was possible to change our drinks and our Cup and we gave coffee for the next morning. She said that there was no problem, but she never came to our room. Back from the pool, we hear someone knock on the next door, my husband tent a second attempt with another woman in the room to make the same requests to the previous. She answers the glasses and cups to stay in rooms when we rent a second day and that they don't get not to wash. So we have to make do with what we have. My husband ask coffee for the next morning for the coffeemaker, and we said that for the next morning, we must pay but we got free by going to lunch at the hotel (notice that lunch is always charge extra). You would have of seeing us the face, I wanted to explode. She left and came back later (probably with pangs of conscience) with coffee telling us that she offered us it because we did not clean our room? For lunch… must not too hungry. Toast and cereal. No juice, no water and especially no fruit. I repeat, toast and cereal. Pool, spa, and sauna clean and well maintained. In short, terrible service! First and last time I go.

Apparently if you don't speak French, you are not treated well. No free breakfast, but can add-on for $1.99 per person. If you book online, 'Wi-Fi' is available but not for free. Each device costs $5.75 extra. Although, quality of the rooms are above standards.

Total disappointment… we are accustomed of us rented rooms to spoil us from time to time… and we go a few times for suites… But in the Châteauguay is the first time that we are as disappointed… We opted for a suite (supposedly the largest), by a telephone reservation by a host we fesant hover a tempting deal. All there is now is the word written on the door… Photos portends really not what it really is… Outside of the Bates Motel… rooms resembling 70s… complemented by a rude staff… pretend laughing outright at us… HAAAA I forgot to talk of a spa and gym in repair… Anyway might as well go around this corner book a Ambassador to 2 min later.

The room is not ready when we arrived at 15: 30. The room is small. No air con in the room and it's hot. The pool is clean. The owners are nice. The breakfast is not bad. We use us even. Toast or cereal.

Very good value for money clean.
