The staff here is amazing. We have relocated from Texas with our two Doberman, and all I can say is that southern hospitality isn’t just limited to the south. Thank you for making us feel so welcomed to Canada, and more specifically, Montréal. ❤️

5 stars Had been wanting to check out the rooftop bar for a while. Finally went with some friends. First things first, I really liked their rooftop bar. The pictures don't do justice to it. The view is amazing and the Sangria (azure) we ordered was delicious. Great summer vibes! We also ordered their cheese platter, which was great! However, we received rude customer service by one of their staff members (not our server, but the guy cleaning the tables). We were going to order more but that incident really ruined the experience thus far; hence, we decided to just leave and asked for the bill. Five star because the manager on duty, David, was amazing! I told him what happened and he without even thinking twice, offered us drinks on the house and gave us access to the top level of the rooftop even though it was closed. He brought us their special Red Sangria (plus some shots) which was really yum! David is the epitome of great service. The way he went about changing our negative experience to an excellent one, was impressive. How could I not give this place 5/5! Shoutout to David! Keep up the great work.

First time in this property, all went well until we checked in. We made changes to our reservation effortlessly. Checking in was fine and the room was in good shape. We had a few issues with the service during breakfast. Also when we were denied late check-out! I would have given it a 5 stars if the staff were more accommodating. It's still a very viable options for downtown stay.

The suites are perfect and the staff is like no other staff I have for across. My favorite hotel in downtown Montreal. The hotel has an amazing roof top patio and is just around the corner from great food and lots if shopping.

We found this place because they are pet friendly. I am glad that we stumbled across this. The staff are incredible and the beds are comfortable. I have been coming to Montreal for 20 years and the stay we had was the best we ever had. We are already looking forward to coming back.

We had a great stay overall, everyone was friendly, I didn’t give it 5 stars because the pool sucks — it’s on the roof top terrace bar with no cover so obviously is only weather-permitting but is also tiny! Other than that was a great experience and location and will probably return here next time we are in MTL.

WOW as a solo traveler, they really took great care of me! I am Platinum elite and got free breakfast. Concierge team very helpful in showing me were to go, booking tours and of course places to eat. I would definitely stay here again. Walking distance to Jazz festival too!

I visited the Renaissance in Montreal over the May long weekend. Staying only on the Saturday night I booked a room for a friend and I to enjoy the city. It was overall a nice stay but sort of strange that we got a noise complaint at 9:30pm at a hotel that advertises as a sort of a young, hip place with parties and DJs etc. Lol we were warned again at 11pm that if we had a noise complaint again we would receive a $250 fine. I went to the front desk and told them I would not be paying a fine if I received one because the first warning was at NINE THIRTY. The man at the front desk was much more understanding then the woman who came to my room. But overall good stay. Clean, comfortable, close to downtown, and good food and cocktails at the bar.

Loved the hotel! It's in the heart of downtown just minutes away from a ton of restaurants, bars, and shops. The lobby staff were very helpful in finding a late night dinner when we arrived at 11PM. It's a contemporary chic design and the restaurant had a hip crowd. The penthouse bar had great views of the city. Only 15 minute walk from the old town.

Renaissance hotel is conveniently located at the heart of Montreal Downtown. The only down side is the parking as a lot of road construction activity is in progress throughout downtown. The hotel is cozy. The bar and restaurant located in the lobby are nice. The staff is attentive and friendly. Lookout for the bell boy named Otthaman. He is a great guy who takes extra initiative to make the guests comfortable. The rooms are comfy and good size with all amenities expected in a 4 star hotel. Wish you a happy stay.

Beautiful … Beautiful hotel. Staff is amazing and very accommodating. The hotel rooms were beautiful and come with 2 Bath robes each. The room had a blue tooth speaker and you're very own coffee machine. The decor is very modern and the beds are very comfortable. Great location close to downtown, and walking distance to everything you would need for your stay.

Great location, in the center of downtown. A bit small room. Nice breakfast here though. Asian restaurant here on the ground floor had delicious food. Parking was not convenient here. Anyway, this hotel 's quite modern and new.

A hotel that stands out! Both at the level of the decor, the friendliness of the staff, the service exceptional and the food excellent. The ambiance of this hotel is so nice! It feels good! In addition the bar Air is an amazing place for a reception more or less intimate! A magical stay!

Very nice hotel on the inside. The drive-up can be difficult. There is a lot of road construction. And the main entrance to the hotel is not obvious at first. Do not let the Hotel deceive you. That looks old and worn out but the inside is very nice and the rooms are excellent. I thought the wait staff and concier was very pleasant. The rooms are very reasonably priced and the hotel is located and a very nice part of the city. It's just that there's so much construction going on the traffic in the area can be very heavy throughout the day. Plan accordingly when you're going to your destination from the hotel. It is likely to take longer than you might think. Thank you for a wonderful stay at your facility!

Cool boutique touches that one comes to expect from Renaissances. All the typical Renaissance high-end touches in terms of room amenities. It's a relatively small property with only 12 floors, so don't go in expecting any great room views. Because of its size, there's no executive/club lounge, which was disappointing. It's not the end of the world, but the alternative of having to call the service desk for more water bottles was much less convenient (and not to mention the service staff that brought the items all had this look on their face like they hated their job). Located right in the heart of downtown Montreal, so it is centrally located to a lot of venues downtown. However the lack of self-parking was also a disappointment as the valet could take a long time, and the one-way street its on can make getting back to the hotel a little difficult. My suggestion is to also skip the hotel's restaurant. Food quality left a lot to be desired (at least for the breakfast) … getting supermarket deli-style packaged ham with a $15+ eggs benedict is not impressive at all. If you have free breakfast included as a Gold or Platinum member, I'd recommend asking for points instead and going to one of the many stellar brunch places in town; you lose the convenience factor but your taste buds will thank you.

This is my second visit and I will return again and again. The welcome is warm, what about the warm and very comfortable rooms. The location is very well located.

Hotel was situated in an excellent location downtown. Easy to find. Rooms were modern, stylish and contemporary. Booked a loft studio and had a great corner view with plenty of real estate. Checking in and out were fast and painless. Props to the valet service there for being quick and accommodating. If I had to nitpick, it would be the room's climate control. Could've been warmer in the winter. Also slippers were not provided, had to call room service for it.

Amazing experience. Staff were very friendly and polite. All were bilingual which was great as I am English speaking. The hotel itself is very clean and has a unique contemporary design. Room was spacious and very well connected ie: lights were easy to control and place intuitively. I would definitely recommend this place.

Very good Hotel, attended X a course in their meeting rooms. Walking distance from the centre X who is accustomed, the only flaw in the windows, impossible to open them! So only air conditioning and air buckets!

I used points to stay here when I was in town, and found that this location was convenient for walking to local shopping & restaurants. They have a nice bar/lounge downstairs that serves up a pretty good breakfast, also. We opted to use the parking garage across the street as opposed to valet, which was about $21 US per day.

Amazing property. Terrific customer service, brand new rooms with great finishings. Great bar service and delicious drinks. Rooftop patio is amazing! Will definitely stay here from now on when I go to Montreal and will recommend to all my friends.

We were 5 and most of our orders were inaccurate. Our dishes did not reflect the description of the menu. Ex: Menu shows fried calamaris with chorizo, however the dish was served without chorizo. The fish tacos dish was served without a lawyer. I received a sangria (with a MINIMUM of alcohol) and I pass!

Fantastic hotel! Navigator Rocco was a great help with finding a brunch spot within walking distance that offered great vegan options for my partner and non-vegan options for myself. Every person working at the hotel that my partner and I interacted with was very friendly and super helpful with any questions we may have had about anything. Definitely will stay again if we come back for Osheaga next year.

Well designed boutique-y hotel located in the center of downtown. Great location. A little far from old town but close to a lot of other downtown attractions. We came during the Montreal Jazz Festival, so we were within a few blocks from all the action. Everyone here is super friendly and helpful, always willing to provide assistance or local recommendations. The rooms are wonderful, clean, and the beds are really comfortable. Would stay here again next time I'm in town.

I had a wonderful experience during my recent stay at Renaissance Montreal Downtown. From the time we walked into the hotel lobby and were warmly greeted at the check-in desk to the time we left and were assisted by the Concierge in getting a taxi, we had a wonderful time here. The rooms were very clean and modern with a touch of unique, artistic designs that brightened up the place. The lobby was alive and vibrant with a DJ playing music overhead and in one section there was even a library to sit back and relax on a sofa to read a book if you chose to do so. Each day we would chat with the hotel navigator about things to do and see, places to eat, and the best way to get around town to our destinations because he was very knowledgeable about the city and where to go for our particular interests. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who stays in downtown Montreal. It's very centrally located and well worth the money.

Slept like a baby… Renaissance provides the best bedding ever for the weary traveller. Arrived straight from an international flight, the front staff allowed us an early check-in, and after having a hot shower and some eats, fell promptly asleep. If fact, I can't recall the falling asleep time, the bed is that comfortable! Location is great too as there's lots to do all within walking distance!

The rooms were overall nice (they were a bit dim though). The coffee maker was impressive. The bathroom was small, the faucets were crooked, the sink faucet was poorly designed and made use tough (it was too far back). The shower was low pressure. The room was good, but not worth what I paid for it. I paid half of the price for a hotel in dt Toronto that was almost as nice, and had a much better bathroom.

I make it a point to stay here when I do business in Montreal. Great design, nice ambience (live DJ in lobby). Restaurant serves pretty good modern Asian dishes, so if you're feeling lazy, it's a great option. All rooms are new, spacious and decked out with great design furniture. Also free Nespresso in rooms. The rooftop bar is a bonus in the summer, and generally packed on the party nights. For the price you pay, it's a way better choice than all the other traditional hotels in the city, which I think are over priced.

Very nice hotels. I stayed at one of their suite rooms and they are very nicely decorated. Their staff is very friendly and the location worked out great for the meetings we had scheduled around town. Will definitely come back.

Since marriott took over. This place is just outstanding. Great decor. Fantastic staff. Rooms are very clean. Only thing that could be improved is better lighting in the rooms. Otherwise it is perfect. Also very central.

I really enjoyed by weekend stay at this hotel. The location is in the heart of the downtown area. The hotel is well maintained with no evidence of deferred maintenance or short staffing. On a Friday night they had a DJ working in the lobby to keep everyone in a party mood. The restaurant is very nice, I had drinks there one night and breakfast two days. All of these experiences were great. I visited the penthouse bar and grill which was also a great experience with really well thought out food and drinks menu items. The loft rooms (which for some reason they stress are different from suites) was huge and had plenty of windows for you to view the skyline. The bed felt new and the bathroom was well laid out and well maintained. The furniture was fresh and fit the theme of the room. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Looking for an excuse to come back.
