We had a great family stay. Pool, outdoor dining table, children's playground, lunch included, beautiful balcony to the room, clean places, spa and outdoor fireplace makes the experience totally perfect 🤩 The staff is warm, smiling, and the service is impeccable! I totally recommend this hotel.

Great staff! room ready before time, on the checkmark and very clean. Close to everything. Restaurant bar the parlor very good, I recommend.

I wish the TVs were smart to watch Netflix or mirror pairing, good thing my son brought his tablet, there is nothing on the channels to watch but overall the room is nice though, very clean. Feels like I am in my own room and perfect to go to the zoo as it is close by.

This isalways the hotel of choice when coming for the Granby Zoo. Rooms are clean quite and staff are wonderful and friendly.

Disservice, waiters have a crappy attitude, food was expensive and served cold and small portion, rationed wine, cloakroom imposed.

Restaurant the rotunda was excellent and very well served, comfortable bed excellent service.

Super relaxing spa, clean places and comfortable bed.

Beautiful rooms with glass shower and panoramic views in the rooms and I loved eating at the pub in the hotel super good service with Christine and good glass in addition to super welcome at the front desk and my favorite place of course the spa with its magnificent view of the mountain I loved our couple evening I highly recommend and our good lunch thank you for the comfort we will return its safe.

Fantastic service. Surrounded by restaurants gas stations and mall. Beautiful swimming area with hot tubs. Park and sitting area. Beautiful rooms fully decorated including TVs.

Thank god for Hotel Castel. Our reservations at a Motel in Granby were all mixed up and they no longer had room for us. To Hotel Castel we went. Nice, clean rooms. Great staff. Great breakfast and the pool/park area is gorgeous!

Location is amazing! Five minutes from the Granby Zoo right beside a Walmart plus many other stores, surrounded by family friendly restaurants. Really couldn't have placed the hotel in a better spot for a family trip! The hotel breakfast is good but not buffet style which is hard when travelling with little ones who can be picky! The room is quite basic but has everything you would expect. We got the room with the pull out and it's quite tight but we still were able to get a playpen in with everything in it (travelled with an almost 3 year old and almost 1 year old). The pool at the hotel looked great but we didn't get a chance to use it spending our time at the zoo. They also have a little play structure which again is great for family trips! The downside is kind of the room size but we did see a double bed room and it's definitely larger! The only is considering it's such a family friendly hotel it's weird that they don't offer portable cribs for overnight guests. We would definitely do the two day zoo package again with this hotel. Loved this trip!

Friendly staff and good service. Clean rooms and very good breakfast included. A plus, the hotel is well placed on a main avenue everything is nearby.

Very ordinary room, King bed without bedside table on one side. The hotel is in works we did not tell when booking: swimming pool not available. Noisy work. The meals except the breakfast is less than good: 1st supper for me a lamb chop cooked under vacuum, the Lamb had surely been killed twice, hard as rubber, I was served a fillet of beef in replacement, so my wife had supper without me and I have supper afterwards. Second supper, this time it was my wife who received a fillet of trout over-cooked, for me shrimp that dipped in a much too generous dew sauce, I had to wipe my shrimp before eating them. All meals table d'hôte are served with 5 vegetables, plates too loaded and poorly presented.
Besides the massages and breakfast we really did not appreciate this hotel and I would not recommend it to anyone. Advice to the Chief: make sure that the sous-chefs know how to cook and that the chef should taste his cooking before proposing it.
On the other hand the service was impetucable.

I'm really disappointed. The rooms are OK but no more. I rent a suite for my wedding at $300/night and that does your not at all, and thats way too expensive for what I had. In addition I book 30 rooms that they have scattered on 5 floors and when I ask for his rooms I had a fixed price and at the end of the day the prices are all different. My weekend starts and I'm super disappointed. Thats for my wedding and vrmt I will not come back. CA me add of stress and in addition I try to negotiate my chambte but I am told that because my weeding is not done there they can not but I imagine that book a block of 30 rooms is not enough. WOW ordinadire vrmt. I'm not.

Really bad place, very pitiful service. We were there for a wedding and really discouraged. If you have a place to go, don't come here. First time I came here, a lot of disappointment (not fixed price and much too expensive for ' ' comfort ' ' and rooms that are really not worth the price). Really place to be discouraged!

Very bad service, warning lower the volume in a room has 4 people during a wedding evening we rent a block of 30 room and all scattered price varying between people… the Queen bed room all old with smell of closed and not worth the price according to me.

A lot of repairs when I went there but it is a beautiful place. I recommend little lunch, and the services such as the spa closes very early.

Oufff It's time to do renovations all over the hotel! But a good point it was very clean and nice welcome!

Nous avons réalisé un événement, dernièrement, à l'hôtel et nous avons bien été servi et guidé par le délégué commercial-corporatif. Bonne communication et beaucoup de choix et de services offert pour que l'ont réalise un événement réussit. Bravo. Il est certain que nous allons faire affaire dans le futur avec l'hôtel.

Friendly staff especially young lady who serves breakfast everyday. Rooms are clean. A very old school hotel and much better than st. Christophe at the other end of Granby. The pub and restaurant located in the hotel are very nice and the staff are very pleasant.

The hôtel is pleasant. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The event was well organized. I didn't see the rooms but what I visited was cleaned. I will recommend this hotel to all visitors coming to Granby Québec.

The restaurant La Rotunda was divine I recommend but the suite in which we were lacking in amenities (no bottle opener, no wine glass) very poorly soundproof and we expected a can more luxury for such a great suite!

We rented the Provencal suite that was not giving $ $ $. First there was no glass of wine in the room. The suite is non smoking supplement including the balcony.
The suite is acoter of the elevator and it is heard every time what goes up or down. The rooms are not well soundproof we hear the neighboring rooms.
The room is big but lacks some stuff like glasses of wine, bottle opener, shower gel and small element of luxuies that you expect to have when renting a room at this price. The bed is very firm and not very comfortable… 2/5 star hotel for…
but the reason we came here is the restaurant and it was quite splendid. Clean and friendly service. What to say about food… Generous portions and everything has been delicious! I recommend the restaurant anytime! five stars!

Decent no frills hotel. Not many other options in town. Rooms are clean and well kept, if not dated. Staff is friendly and helpful, even for a non-francophone!

Stayed here for one night and it’s a good hotel. Room was clean and service was great. It is a bit dated but one of the better options in town.

Wow! What an amazing stay. This was my first trip with my 3 yr old son (single mom) and while traveling with a toddler alone is a lot of work, the hotel was amazing! From Lego tables in the reception and breakfast rooms (kept him busy while I checked in/got food) to having rooms with DVD players and movies to rent, and a great outdoor park and heated outdoor pool, I couldn't have asked for anything more to help keep my little man happy and out of mischief! Walking distance to Walmart, lots of restaurants and more. Short drive (5 min) to the zoo. And hotel rooms with balconies are great for when the littles are asleep or to drink a morning coffee in peace :) Oh! And the staff are amazing and all bilingual.

Staff was friendly. The included breakfast was great. There were some issues with the bathroom in our room. Taps and handles were nearly falling off the walls of the shower.

Clean rooms. Close to zoo and other attractions. Supervised pool. Free breakfast. No complaints.

We get a two-day stay and we were disappointed with the hotel. Old carpet, bathroom, and decor that is completely defraichit… it is in 2017… The elevator is tiny… a doll carriage double and 2 adults and the elevator is full. In the morning, for lunch yavais a big time waiting to eat… however, it was clean. The swimming pool and the park is really great for children. I'm not certain to return…

Stayed just for one night while visiting the zoo with pur toddler. Room was clean, staff was nice, breakfast was good and easy, and they let us check in early so our daughter could have her afternoon nap. Would stay there again.

Very nice hotel. Clean, sophisticated looking. Room was on the second floor and bigger than I thought. We stayed here for the zoo and the staff was great help about everything. We ate at La Retonde and food was very good.

Good value for money, quiet and well located for cyclists, near the road of fields, a staple of the region.

Overall not a bad place, they are currently renovating the place so hope the new rooms are nice as the old ones are becoming dated. Staff are friendly and speak decent English!

Great hotel, very family friendly, very clean. Great location, and the restaurant is good. We always come here when it comes to the Zoo, best choice in Granby according to us.

The location is very convenient, close to everything, zoo, shops, cinema, restaurants… Great for our family, several outdoor game and heated pool! We were very happy that there is a DVD player, it is convenient for children. Always friendly staff! Thanks for this stay!

With children we have worship in the economic result and the good breakfast. Very well also think the slide and children games.
The pool heat and section not hollow for the little ones.

First, Granby and surrounding areas are in deep need of a New Hotel. Second, all hotels in the area are quite old, dank, mold smelling, and in need of renovations. For example, we checked in the Granby Hotel but would not stay the night. What a dive! And the owner was worst! Anyway, we usually stay at the Castel Hotel when travelling in the Granby area since the area has nothing to offer in terms of quality lodgings. The Castel rooms are OK to sleep but to go and refer to this site as a Spa is misleading. The hotel is aged and the owners tried to renovate the old skeleton which resulted in a compromise that lacks. The halls are musty and the basement breakfast dungeon isn't impressive to say the least. Overall, the Castel Hotel is overpriced for what it is and taking a suite would be a further waste of money.

Hotel was just ok, however restaurant inside food was much better and recommend it.

We stayed at the hotel on Thanksgiving week end. I understand that there are renovations being done, however. The room was decent and seemed clean but the bathroom tiles had so much mold build up on them I took a picture and could not bring myself to take a shower it was so bad It had to be there for a long time. Mold is very unheathly, I don't know how that was not reported by the cleaning staff.

Very disappointing. After a day of skiing I was planning a relaxing in the spa, I hit the nose on a locked door. Back in my room, I call the front desk. I have to pick up the key at the front desk and give a $ 25 deposit to go to the spa.
Finally the room price is quite high and the spa is not available.

A charming hotel that has aged well. Rooms are dated, but in immaculate shape. Cafeteria breakfast is good enough. Decent price; decent Wi-Fi. 7/10.

This is a nice hotel I spent only 1 night in. Very well located, need shopping center, movie theater, restaurants, etc. Price is very honest, very clean place.
