Our getaway at The Brairs Resort and Spa was perfect in every-way. A relaxing weekend, staff was amazing and very helpful at all times. Spa service are relaxing, recommend and perfect. Food is delicious at the Drink Waters lounge and breakfast is also delicious. The scenery is amazing and the resorts amenities are fun activities. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway.

I can't say enough good things about the Briars. We got married there in October 2nd, and the entire staff was incredible! First, they went above and beyond to ensure that our "COVID" wedding was just as special while still adhering to all regulations and ensuring all our guests were safe. Second, the staff was incredible! Our bar tender knew his stuff and was so fun; all the wait staff was kind and helpful. I can't say enough about them. Third, the food was out of this world! Every one of our guests talked about this being the best meal they have had! My hat goes off to the chef. When we realized we would be married during a pandemic, our hearts sunk, but everyone who helped us at the Briars (Dave, Michelle, the wait staff, the chefs, the bartenders, etc. ) made sure that we had a wedding that far exceeded our dreams. We can't thank them enough for our lifetime of memories!

Attended a wedding this weekend at the briars and I can’t say enough how wonderful the experience was. The staff and owner were all amazing! The food was great. Everyone was so friendly. Looking forward to future events there!.

Gorgeous historic place, I’m in awe at how beautiful it was and how friendly the staff is greeted with smiles and delicate care to your individual needs.

Stayed here for 2 nights this week for the first time. We did the waterfront getaway with the sea doo which unfortunately we did not get to enjoy fully as the weather did not cooperate but they said we could return next year and get the full experience.
What a charming place! So much to see and do! The food was amazing and the dining staff friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the kayaks and the boat “tour” and the walking tour with the general manager who is so knowledgeable. Unfortunately because of COVID the games rooms were closed and the inside pool renovations were not complete. We would have liked to enjoy a bike ride and a tennis game but it rained on our last day. There is so much to do. Bed was comfy and very quiet room. Yes the place needs updating but I think it adds to the charm.
Would love to see some of the outbuildings being renovated into say a microbrewing beer pub or a yoga/meditation area.

I have a spa membership and love it! Definitely worth the money ♥️

When we walked in we were greeted. But we were not given any instructions on where to go. We went to have lunch the food was good. Over priced but good. Then we went to the pool. There was nothing in the change rooms no soap, no robes, no towels. We later found out that we could have gone to the spa to get our robes. The water in the pool was freezing! It also had a weird smell inside the pool area. The shower in the pool was covered with algae which was disgusting. The building is outdated inside and could use a facelift. We went down for our spa treatment and the spa area was really nice and cozy! Our masseuses Natalia and Maria were great! We really enjoyed our massage. Would we come back here again? Yes but only for the massage. The facilities themselves need some work. It also would have been nice for the front desk to let people know (when applicable) where to get robes/towels.

Went there for a 10th wedding anniversary. The food was so good I put weight on in the 2 days we were there. Charming and cosy accomodations with a lovely fireplace.

Loved the message I received! Michelle (RMT) was excellent. She saw my husband a few days ago and he also had a great experience. Very knowledgeable. The spa was welcoming, cozy, and clean. The staff were professional and friendly.

Very nice place to stay the night. Friendly staff and clean spacious rooms. The food was good and had all the amenities you could possibly need. I didn't take advantage of the resort spa and golf aspect I just stayed the night because of a wedding but you definitely get a overall experience.

Excellent food, staff, service and amenities are the hallmarks of The Briars. Our room was nicely appointed and on the water. However, I was disappointed with the level of cleanliness of the room: a thick layer of dust covered several places in the room. Cobwebs with dead insects in the windows surrounding the window seat of our Boathouse room and for what I paid I expected it to be clean. The air conditioner was also black with dirt and the carpet had stains everywhere. Nevertheless, the grounds are beautiful and the location very attractive. The meals included 3 delicious courses served by attentive and pleasant staff. I would go back because it is a really lovely place to spend some time together as a couple but I would demand that the room be properly cleaned the next time.

Beautiful lake, beautiful property, beautiful manor. Customer service could have been better. We didn't sleep well due to noisy air conditioner that made random buzzing noises that kept us awake. Front desk said someone would look into it, but nothing happened. We paid $1000 for two nights, and couldn't get help while struggling with luggage through doors.

Spa services are excellent. It was a peaceful getaway from our busy lives. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Massage therapists are very professional. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend this place to others too.

Great little getaway place north of Toronto. Waterfront cottages comes with many amenities. We used the kayak, peddle boat, indoor pool, table tennis! They also have tennis courts. Beautiful ground, well maintained. Food was great too, although breakfast could have more options.

This is an amazing little gem. The historic grounds are beautiful, with enough activities to keep one busy for a week or two. I could wander around the buildings for days, exploring the artifacts and marveling at the architecture and antique finishings. The staff were all wonderful, and went above and beyond to make us happy, entertained, and relaxed. I’ll definitely be back!

Seriously disappointed We are here for the Fathers Day lunch. Service was the worst I have ever had. It was a buffet and we had all finished first servings and still no drinks. Asked 3 waitresses and a manager but still took over an hour to get drinks. Many wait staff wandering around and talking to each other. Daughter's chair broke under her while eating. No apology just I will get another chair for you. She ended up getting her own from another table. We have been here before (married here too) but not since the Sibalds sold. Won't be back any time soon. P. S. The food was good hence the 2 ☆ rating.

Wonderful experience for me my wife and 9 month old. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Awesome hot tub and pool. Interesting building and beautiful surrounding landscape.

We went to the Briars as a getaway and it was so relaxing. We did a couple Swedish massage and it was amazing. Mind you it was $300. I also did an hour pedi ($75) that was fantastic. Props to Lindsay she was amazing! We stayed 2 nights and all meals were included. Some meals were buffet style and some were not. The buffet wasn't that great but the rest of the food was amazing. The staff are beyond amazing. They are all nice with big smiles. There are many amenities. Winter time they have cross country skiing, skating, sledding and much more. Our favorite was sitting in the tower and coloring. The decor was okay. I'd personally change it especially the wallpapers. Furniture is fairly new and clean. Again mind you that for 2 nights it was $1, 000+ (not including spa and pedi) something so not that cheap but for what you get you can justify it.

Thus place is an amazing place to go if you want to go to a nice little resort. I went for a corporate function with my work and it was a very comfortable stay. The staff here are also super nice. I would recommend coming here for all who want to stay at a comfy place. The rooms were nice and the beds were snug and cozy. The food was tasty.

A spa getaway at The Briars is a wonderful experience. Knowledgeable and friendly staff greet you. The pampering begins the moment you step inside. Shannon is lovely and guides you to your own private change room. The massage therapists are equally as wonderful providing you with a relaxing experience. If you get the opportunity, complete your day with a manicure and pedicure from Jennifer. With her attention to detail and a relaxed attitude she is simply a delight!

I attend the festive dinner gala every year with my work Christmas party. We get to stay the night so we can drink. We also get to enjoy the breakfast buffet too. I really enjoy it every year. The Briars is right on the lake and views are gorgeous. The resort itself is cozy and has a fascinating history. The indoor pool and hot tub are must for us to enjoy every year. We have also played in the games room and enjoyed it as well. The food is never disappointing and we always eat to much. There is also music and dancing which is lots of fun. Not the biggest fan of the DJ. The song choices are hit or miss and his transitions are no good. The rooms are great and needs comfy. The breakfast buffet is great way to top everything off. Overall I highly recommend.

Absolutely recommend for a day away to rejuvenate! Feel like a new person, came for the day package, Swedish massage, pedi, and facial with lunch and stayed for the the pool and whirlpool/sauna. It was such a treat, great service and well worth a visit! We'll be back to The Briars! Thank you to Shannon and her staff.

My daughter and I celebrated her birthday with a Mother /Daughter Spa Day at the Briars and would highly recommend it to my friends and family. The staff were friendly, food was delicious and my massage was heaven. It was well worth the drive and a great way to have a getaway out of the big city, to celebrate an occasion and get pampered!
