I absoutely loved my stay!
This building has so much personality! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were so unique and definitely clean and cared for. I haven't even mentioned the continental breakfast! Omg. Delicious. If I could have had all my meals prepared there, I would have. I would absoutely 100% recommend this Inn!

Thank you to Hochelaga Inn for being so welcoming, friendly, helpful. The space was beautiful and we are are so happy we could celebrate a special birthday there. Thank you for everything.

5/5. Everything is enchanting and lovely. It’s comfortable, relaxing, clean & historically rich. The food is excellent, the staff is inspiring! Breakfast with castle views. You Will not be disappointed, especially with their complimentary baby muffins and strawberry water.

The Hochelaga Inn is a home away from home. Everyone is friendly, warm, knowledgeable and helpful.
It’s bright, clean and full of character and the breakfasts are superb. We’ve stayed at other locations when
visiting before but nothing matches the comfort of the Hochelaga.

If you want to stay in an old house, be surrounded by friendly people, this is your place. The staff are wonderful, the setting is quite pleasant, and walkable.

Great service, rooms and breakfast which is why I go back every year. The garden patios are beautiful and inviting. I would never go back to a hotel. I feel so relaxed when I'm there.

The owners are wonderful. Very special place with a nice romantic room and wonderful breakfast. So close to everything too.

My husband and I stayed at this vintage inn from July 10 to 13th. This heritage building is lovely and has been restored and kept in fabulous condition. The grounds are lovely. We can't say enough about the individuals who work on the reception desk, serve breakfast and offer advice on whatever is needed. They are all exceptional, helpful, friendly, knowledgable and take the time with each guest as if you are the only one. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay in Kingston!

Near the historic centre. Too bad for the room. We were accommodated in the annexe and the room was very small! at least not as expected (28m2) and not in accordance with the photos when booking.

Lovely inn with very helpful staff. It has a perfect location in a beautiful historic charming building. It is very close to the university, very conveniently located when visiting students (or any other time for that matter as very close to ”downtown” as well). The breakfast was great. Overall a very nice experience.

High Tea was an amazing experience-so good that our entire conversation over the best tea, sandwiches and desserts revolved around the food, the atmosphere, the building and decor. We were truly in the present moment! A lovely way to spend time together with my Mom, an extension of her birthday celebrations. Highly recommend!

It looked beautiful from the outside. It was a stop on a haunted walk we were on. It is on my list of places to stay.

Lovely quirky hotel. Got an free upgrade to a ground floor room. Staff very helpful. Wi-Fi patchy in room but working in dinning room and lounge.

We celebrated our marriage in Kingston over the Victoria Day long weekend and stayed at the Hochelaga with the entire wedding party. The Inn was a fantastic choice for us, as it felt so intimate and charming. The rooms were unique, spacious and clean and the staff was excellent; they made us feel completely at home, allowing us to use the fridge for our drinks and food, the parlour for our pre-wedding toast and even offered us the opportunity to marry at the Inn if the weather didn’t cooperate (luckily it did). My wife has a number of food allergies and the breakfast staff was very attentive in meeting her dietary needs. On that note, the breakfast was delicious. We also took photos in the garden around the Inn and appreciated its proximity to the water and to campus, since that is where we took the rest of our wedding photos. Overall, the Hochelaga played a key part in making our weekend very special!

Beautiful Hotel in a historic Building. Located on a quiet Street, it is still relatively centrally located.

This place had amazing staff and breakfast. You get the bed and breakfast perks of a delicious latte and pot of tea at any time. Also it was very clean in my room. Also the place was a great location! The only complaints I would have is that they advertise air conditioning and most rooms do not have it. Many of the rooms were outdated and old (not in the good antique way), also it smelled very very old and musky in the carriage house which was not pleasant and as the place began to fill up soundproofing was an issue. Would consider staying again if the price was better reflective of my room. A little over priced for what you get.

Lovely looking Inn. Comfortable bed but in a somewhat drab room. You can tell this is owned by a corporation and run by students. Was looking forward to a delicious breakfast — not so much. Had booked two rooms in May but not impressed with what is on offer and will cancel. Very disappointed.

This bed and breakfast was excellent. The rooms were a good size clean and private bathroom. Wi-Fi on site. The breakfast we had was delicious and quick. I highly recommend the Hochelaga Inn to anyone spending time in Kingston.

Clean, conveniently located and friendly staff. Breakfast was really tasty as well. All in all, a pretty great way to spend the night.

Various small details added up to the best imaginable hotel stay. Parking was available and easily accessible. Fruit — infused water was provided upon arrival. Free extremely fast Wi-Fi. Delicious Dammann tea from Paris always available with fresh snacks and fruit. Espresso machines were provided within our room. The staff were extremely helpful, professional and accommodating. The breakfast was prepared fresh. The constantly maintained fireplace made us feel right at home. Myself and my two friends had a lovely weekend in Kingston, and this was heavily attributable to the Hochelaga Inn.

We loved at our stay at this hidden gem. Comfortable bed, great water pressure, roomy, wonderfully decorated. They make any kind of egg for breakfast on request.

New management completely screwed up our class reunion plans by giving away our reservation for the entire hotel (made 5 years earlier! ) to another group. Poor response to emails now, too.

There was a christmas market there. But we were dissapointed that it was a bit small. But we did get there late.

The staff were great and very helpful, and breakfast was lovely. In particular, I was running a little late for my train and asked them to call a cab. One of the staff said she was going that way anyway and gave me a lift! Above and beyond…

Excellent location, in an invitingly walkable neighbourhood, close to downtown and Queen’s University. The staff was as charming as the building. We would come back to Kingston to stay here again.

Awesome room (we had the tower room), with great customer service. The house is incredibly beautiful, and the best part was the breakfast — the food was delicious and the service was wonderful.

I had an overall great experience at hochelaga Inn, with awesome service and an exquisite breakfast. Knocked off a star because there was no outlet beside the beds for phone charging, and also the lock on my door was REALLY hard to unlock (it was stuck sometimes).

Great place to stay. Room was very clean and very nicely decorated. Staff was excellent and very friendly and helpful. Loved sitting on the porch having a coffee and watching the rain. Breakfast was a very tasty frittata with home fries and fruit salad and unlimited coffee, tea, and water when ever you wanted at a station by the front door. The architecture and decor was very welcoming and homey. Recommended staying and will definitely return.

I went to the Hohelaga for the first time last weekend. I have to say that both myself and my boyfriend were very impressed. The atmosphere was so friendly and relaxed. We stayed in the carriage house. The rooms are smaller than the main house, however they were still charming. The bathroom was a good size with all the amenities we would have wanted. The beds were very comfortable, amazing views from the window and very quiet. During our whole stay we never heard a voice. We could hear footsteps, but never a voice. I was impressed. We spent a part of everyday in the courtyard or on the veranda… to be honest, how could you not, it is absolute tranquility. Great views, quiet area, gorgeous gardens. I honestly cant say enough good things about this hotel… oh and breakfast was to die for. The cook/GM was so helpful and friendly. I now know how to make the best potatoes ever! Thanks Hochelaga.

We spend 2 nights to visit Kingston and surrounding areas. Super friendly staff, comfortable beds, yummy breakfast and the coffee is awesome! many places to sit peacefully inside, outside in the garden or on the patio. The location is right downtown where the event, restaurants, pubs, boutiques etc… you can park your car in the private parking lot and walk within minutes to many activities… thank you for a nice time!

I love visiting Kingston and the Hochelaga Inn is only a 10 minute walk to downtown. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was a great start to the day! Its a beautiful building with a rich history! My wife and I just spent our 1st wedding anniversary here!

This building is unbelievable! So much personality. I loved my stay here and cannot wait to return! I highly recommend staying here if you want a meaningful experience during your stay. Lovely!

I remember walking by the Hochelaga Inn as a student at Queen's University more than 25 years ago. The Inn seemed to light up the street and warm the heart, even on the coldest of winter nights. It was such a special looking place… I always wondered what it would be like to stay there. Now that I have a family with two young children that will at times return to Kingston to visit, we so greatly appreciate the opportunity to stay at the Hochelaga Inn. Its warm and cozy atmosphere, its well-appointed, clean, distinctive rooms, and its friendly, caring, and accommodating staff truly make the Hochelaga Inn our home away from home.

Room a bit small but well-appointed. Excellent hot breakfast served in beautiful lobby. Great location. Staff very helpful and friendly.

People were pleasant. The room was ok, but pricey. Food was good. The do like their Illy coffee, so did we.

Perfect location to downtown Kingston. Close to restaurants, bars and waterfront. Friendly staff, clean, crisp rooms and wonderful breakfast. The staff is willing to bend over backwards and very personable. All rooms are equipped with their own bathrooms which is a very nice hotel like feel but with the big house. I would strongly recommended this B&B to anyone looking for a place to stay in Kingston!

Looks great, clean. Feels cozy. If you ware a light sleeper however get a room on the top floor. Every single floorboard creaks and starting at 6 am there is a non stop symphony of foot squeaks.

We loved this B&B! The staff was wonderful and accomodating. They were knowledgable about Kingston and the area. Our room was very spacious and we loved the bed. Even though our room was near the breakfast area, it stayed nice and quiet. The building next door is a castle! Lovely. We would definitely go back.

My wife and I stayed three nights in August and we enjoyed the place. Everything went well from arrival to departure. The hosts are friendly and very accommodating. Our room was nice, comfortable and quiet. They have many tables for two for breakfast, a nice terrace and very nice inside too! The breakfast meals (fresh berries and eggs, French toast, etc, ) were excellent. The location is great: nice area 5 minutes walk to the downtown waterfront area. It allowed us to enjoy the nice neighborhood. The inn had a nice garden with tables but the flowerbeds would benefit from more TLC. The owner have done lots of work to refresh the inn and there are still some minor improvements to be done.

My wife and I stayed at The Hochelaga Inn in Kingston for four beautiful days in August. We especially enjoyed being on a quiet street so close to the center of everything that we wanted to see. Although the Inn was fully booked, we did not feel crowded. Breakfasts are varied and delicious and the staff are efficient and attentive. This place has oodles of atmosphere.

This place is awful. The carpets were dirty; the bathroom was moldy. I will never stay here again.

The Hochelaga Inn is a strangely mixed bag of the good and the not-good. Good: comfortable bed, large-enough room (with reading chair — not to be taken for granted), modern shower/tub, clean, great location, lovely exterior. Bad: room was too hot (in October) with opening windows the only way to cool it (even with radiators shut off) ; breakfast was "continental" in the way that low-end motel breakfasts are "continental" (Hampton Inn, Days Inn) ; area is quiet, but room walls and floors are not — and floors creak (good luck below! ) ; furnishings are a mix of the B&B ugly and the low-end motel, namely, charmless. If you're used to North American quality, you'll likely be disappointed. If you're used to British B&B's, you might not notice.
