Built in 1814, this building has been used for many purposes but has been a B&B for several years. As a hotel, it hosted many elite including Charles Dickens. The service is terrific, the proprietor has a deep knowledge of the history of Cornwall and area. This is THE place to stay.

Not impressed with the staff/owner of this place at all! I had reservations on the Canada day weekend. I showed up one hour early for check in and was abruptly told I was too early, with the owner then just walking out of the room totally ignoring me. Then when I showed up after check in time, he told me, while chuckling, that he'd accidentally double booked my room, and I was out of luck. No apologies and no offer to try and help me find another room someplace (good luck with that on a long weekend! ). I'm all for supporting local businesses, but only if they deserve it and this place doesn't!

Innkeeper's Quarters were perfect for my wife and I with our adult daughter. Robert was an excellent host.

My parents and I had a wonderful stay at this inn. Robert made us feel very comfortable and at home, and was extremely helpful. After serving an absolutely delicious and generous breakfast, Robert showed us around the inn. He told us in detail about the history of the inn, Cornwall, and the surrounding area. And not to mention, his dog, Hamish, was perfectly well-behaved and an absolute sweetheart! I would definitely recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

We were greeted by the owner and his Scottie dog hamish outside the back gate which was a lovely welcome As he showed us to our room he gave us a little history on the house. If you are interested in an experience and not a commodity of a " hotel room" this is the place for you. A true gem to experience. The place was clean the breakfast was delightful. I would definitely go back if ever I was in the cute town of Cornwall Ontario.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast and the owner is very knowledgeable about places to see. Very good location. Have chosen to stay here multiple times.

If I could leave 0 stars I would have. A millions times over. I stayed in the contained apartment here and as soon as I laid in the bed I began to itcvh terribly. This was due to the fact that there are terrible bed bugs in ALMOST EVERY ROOM available to the public. Obviously I asked to switch rooms. The next TWO rooms were EXACTLY THE SAME WAY. With the same bugs. Never stay here! terrible service and staff.

Excellent service, breakfast the following morning was really tasty! The rooms and whole inn are beautiful and in great shape.

Stayed in the self-contained apartment. Very well-equipped kitchen. Comfortable living room furniture. Good shower. Great beds. Less than optimal A/C situation. Acceptable Internet except for when we wanted to use it. Between 8pm and 11pm speed was consistently less than 1Mbps.

What fun to stay here as it is a familiar place from my childhood. Robert is a most gracious host and the breakfast he makes is done with great care and love for organically, and locally sourced food. A must place to stay if you are in the Cornwall area.

Beautiful house filled with color and history; room felt comfy and luxurious with four poster bed, nice bedding (it's all about good sheets) and rainshower shower; yummy homemade, hot breakfast at the dinning room table with other guests; charming, warm host with much knowledge of the area, it's history, and local entertainment; highly recommended. Thanks Robert.
