I just found a bed bug in the washroom now I can’t go back to sleep.

Never reachable not in kanata not in Gatineau or even east end location wtff.

Decently appointed rooms, clean and comfortable. Respectable breakfast included. Would stay here again.

Clean on the other hand it lacks a bit of insulation for noise.

For those who want to travel by public transport the hotel is a 5-minute walk from the St. Lawrence terminus. Well located.

Service was great. Rooms are slightly outdated. Free Wi-Fi and continental breakfast included.

Stinky room. Not happy, except for the breakfast… that was delicious.

My wife got told off by the night shift desk person because she booked the hotel through what they called a 3rd party which, according to a very rude man, should disqualify us from the discount we were asking for. Problem with that is that the 3rd party site was the Comfort Inn website. This ruined what was a very pleasant experience with the rest of the staff. The cleaning crew was spot on and always helpful. The day shift front desk staff was kind.

Even though I confirmed with the hotel my room requests before arriving we had to make changes. Su at the desk is not a friendly man. My room keys did not work. Tried 3 different sets and then the lock was reprogrammed. Rooms very clean, location is great, quiet area.

Nice hotel with very accomodating staff. Clean, inviting rooms for a good price! Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here before under different circumstances. Stayed a second time a year later because it was good the first time and I ended up getting bed bugs. Rip wallet.

Rooms are clean. Place is NOT quiet. We had drunken construction workers aggressively knocking on our door half the night for absuletly no reason and others were getting drunk right outside of our patio door. Staff did not tell them to keep it down whatsoever. Tried calling reception at night, no answer. Did not leave my room because I did not feel safe. Would not recommend staying here especially if you have children.

Nice clean room, quiet, ample parking. Close to a shopping center and a restaurant nearby. Easy access to hotel. Very close to highway.

Nice place with very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. The free breakfast was very nice except the eggs were cold both mornings. I would certainly stay there again.

The staff member we dealt with was very helpful and friendly. They did everything they could do to offer us a good rate on rooms.

Worst hotel ive ever stayed at. Wasnt cheap either. Breakfast was disgusting. Night manager rude. Doesnt rate a star.

This place is below horrible. I would not even give this 1 star… Fist, the front desk guy was a total scammer. Said the room cost $150 and would do me a favour and put us on the ground floor instead of the second floor (it is only a two floor building). I could tell right away that this establishment was not going to suit our needs, but, we went and looked at the room due to it being late at night. The room STANK so bad I had to leave and asked told my 16 year old son that I would not stay there and a full inspection for bed bugs was in order. Never inspected the beds because the extremely tiny room, which barely fit the two small beds, was so rank that I could not tolerate even breathing the air. Then I went to leave and could barely get my car out of the parking spot because a HUGE tracker trailer was parked perpendicular to my car where it should not have been, then I noticed many others parked the same way. Well, then as I carefully backed out, some guy stared down at me from his window and he looked like he was going to come out and be violent if I came close to his truck… though he never offered to move it. Then, this Comfort Inn still wants to charge for the night stay! We barely entered the room. Front desk guy (Adyen. Sp? ) was not a good front person for this 'Inn" which is really a ' motel ' as I believe he is a scammer. DO NOT STAY HERE! MY RATING IS BELOW ZERO but this will not let me post that.

Good value for your dollar, good beds and Great pillows.

Was placed in a room with supposedly a queen bed, which we had asked for. It was a double and the pillows were very small, smaller than regular pillows and were very uncomfortable, I called and told them about it but the guy at front desk said that's all they had. Other than that, the hotel was good and breakfast was excellent.

The room was clean and good size. The service at the entrance was of poor quality, and at lunch there was nothing to eat when I asked if there was more food on the way, the employee completely ignored me. Ben too expensive for this hotel. I want it to be in Ottawa, but the price of the hotel is not worth the trip, go somewhere else.

Come here for years. Good for short stay. Acceptable parking. Offer 'breakfast' but expect a snack. Old guy working the front is slow af, have patience with him lol.

Hotel in renovations But here used part is equal to a Comfort Inn. Very friendly and friendly staff.

Discount type hotel. Clean but simple rooms. Conviently located with easy access to highway both East and West.

I won't EVER stay here again. We were there for Christmas on the 25th and checked out on the 26th. What I didn't like about it was that they misled our family into believing we would receive a nice hot breakfast. But when we went to the eating area, there wasn't any service — not hot food and even the waffle maker was unplugged! The clerk told us (guests) that they don't serve hot breakfast on holidays. so don't stay here on holidays! — no hot breakfast. I won't be staying there again.

Outdated and with few services.

Hotel is easy enough to get to, Ottawa traffic kinda sucks though. There's nothing spectacular about the hotel, it's close to the highway and pretty central for getting to any major destination. Looks like it'd be much easier to get around by car than bus if staying here.

Clean, simple rooms. Perfectly serviceable for a couple of evenings. Great for tourists.

Some truck parking (2or 3 spots) but sometimes occupied with cars. Night clerk is a nasty old man. He gave me a hard time because the key they issued wouldn't open the door. They watch you like a hawk at the breakfast room.

No washer or dryer for customers… A little disappointed.

The staff are very nice. The hotel is a bit run down and when I went to breakfast they were out of a lot of food. The hallways also smell a bit odd.

Hotel has done a decent job of updating for being a low budget hotel. They offer continental breakfast. There is a constant issue I have when I stay here a few times a month for work. That being you need to keep an eye on your bill because multiple times I have been overcharged or have had miscellaneous charges added to my bill.

Good location, easy access from the highway. Accessible prices, Wi-Fi and simple breakfast included. Just the entire hotel has carpet floors, and it kinda smells like dust or old.

The room was a good size and both the room and bathroom were clean. The bed was comfortable and the toiletries smelled great. The AC unit in the room worked well but mine was leaking and it soaked the floor. When I reported it to the front desk, the attendant didn't seem overly concerned. The free breakfast was ok. The eggs are frozen and they re-heat them and the bacon was also the re-heat kind and was swimming in grease. The make your own waffles were quite tasty and they had a good selection of breads and cereals. The house keeping staff were fantastic and were very helpful. I've recommend this place if you're just looking for a place to crash for the night while you're out exploring the beautiful city of Ottawa. It was a good value for what we paid.

Bed a little soft. Any bath to redo. Good breakfast.

A coworker and I stayed at the Comfort Inn Ottawa East for 11 nights while working in Ottawa and it was easily the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Aside from the nice room attendants I have a hard time finding a positive. My bathroom was unclean, moldy and my shower rod was falling down. The whole hotel smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was non smoking and the internet was not functioning the duration of my stay. Being overnight guests for business this was not acceptable and when asking about the internet we were turned away with the excuse that there were more people than normal in the hotel. I understand that this hotel isn't a top notch hotel but there are more than a few areas this "newly renovated" hotel needs to improve in order for me to suggest it to others.

The hotel is easy to access by the highway and has enough noise insulation to not suffer from it. Rooms were clean and comfy ; bathroom in our room could have used some minor repairs but functionality was good. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety but could be better managed (tables not quite clean, missing chairs, ran out of eggs by 8h30).

Staying conditions are fine. Clean rooms, floor, bed and washroom. But internet is too slow which is a huge deal breaker.

Internet on par with dial up, had to ask for shirts, blanket and pillow. They couldn't get the pillow. And finally they didn't fill the toilet paper. A sub par hotel, unfortunately a bad rep for comfort inns as I generally choose them because of the service. The location on Michael st is just plain bad.

The rooms were nice except for the washrooms — they forgot to upgrade the bathtub when they renovated the rooms, and the rust and discolored tiles and caulking were rather gross looking. I won't be staying there again.

Stayed here 1 night while on business in Ottawa and that was more than enough time spent at this location. I've stayed at ChoiceHotel locations all across Canada, every province and in cities I didn't know existed. This location rates at the very bottom of the scale. I never understood why hotels make you sign non-smoking acceptance disclaimers upon check-in when the whole facility reeks of smoke. The more expensive room I stayed in (ground floor with fridge) was filthy and there were ants in the bathroom. Pure nasty. If you have options, try somewhere else. Anywhere.

Nickle at the front desk is helpful and very professional. Free breakfast is great.

I stay at comfort inn almost weekly and usually when in ottawa I go to vanier CI which is not very good. This trip I decided to change and I miss my filthy alternative. I have a bus ramp, hwy and business outside my window. The TV is tiny and 20 years old and a general musty smell matches the dingy furnishings. I stay at hotels approx 75 days yearly and expect imperfection but this is gross. I suggest stay at Comfort inn Brockville over an hour West and get up early to drive. That place is worth the money and costs less than 1252 michael but with proper meals, clean rooms and actually decent decor.
