The hidden gem of china town. Very basic, but perfect for the price your paying.

It's no apartment. It's just a room with beds and that's it. There's no reception to greet you. It's help yourself with an envelope at the front door with your name on it and a set of keys to your room. Place is old and it smells especially in the basement. No parking available only in building next door and you have to pay.

This is a very basic place. It will be per fe t for you if you are looking for a very budget friendly place, but forget of any nice amenities.

Simple with just a bed, fridge, a couple of towels, bathroom w/ shower, microwave, and Wi-Fi. Great if you just need a quick place to stay on a budget. It's pretty clean and tidy too. Bed is a little firm.

The name is rather deceptive, a non description seedy building off a laneway and Atkinson co — operative, many of the units boarded up and slated for demolition. Rent at your own risk…

It is not an apartment, or even a room. More like a box with beds cramped into it. Don't even get me started on the small bathroom or the smell. Didn't even have a check in desk, it was all "do it yourself". The only slight positive was the location.

Booking cheap accommodation and having low claims is one thing: Being housed in a basement hole with no daylight, but is something else: Unpleasant and unacceptable. In addition, there was only one (1) key for the multi-bed room, which required elaborate coordination. As a tip, you got to bury the key somewhere on the property after all. Without words.
The only positive example was the good quality of the internet. Thus, the weather app could be used to find out the weather conditions outside without windows.

Very poor place. Horrible beds. Unresponsive staff. They charge extra for everything. Never go here.

Charges 10 dollars to check into empty room before 3pm. Barely speaks English, no tv, no amenities. Wouldn’t recommend.

Positive: location and free Wi-Fi. But small and old room, minimalist equipment… but unbeatable price… We can't have it all.

Quite affordable. In a good neighborhood, nearby shops, bus-stop, groceries and convenience stores. But not so neat and management language issues.

It looked like an Asian whorehouse! Not worth anything more than $40. A room with a bed, no TV, no soap, and towels and bedsheets we're like sleeping at a buddy's. Find a buddy, better off on their couch.

Uhm… it seems as little like a mental institution you see in the movies… and unfortunately room is not so clean.

Really nice for a couple days, don't be afraid to enter. The rooms are simple but clean. I sincerly recomand the place.

AVOID this place. There was a minor issue with the credit card I made the reservation (they might declined it on purpose as this card had never any problems in Canada). However, they decided to just cancel everything. When I arrived they told me the room was given away to someone else and I should go to a different place far away (thats at least what I understood, their english was just horrible).

Cheaply outfitted. Sketchy wiring. No one to let you in. English only spoken by one guy who isn't there much.

Terrible terrible terrible… I can't believe why I booked this hostel. Mice is in the rooms, so cold, I can hear everything from outside. Never ever never come again.

Don't go, waist of money, stinks, is dirty, sketchy area (I think across the street there is the mafia, Chinatown), parking is 12$ for 24h in a secured parkgarage.

Don't trust the Airbnb reviews. I would only recommend this to my enemies. Bed sheets, pillows and blankets all smelled like someone didn't clean up after smoking in there. Spider webs on the walls. Room was next to garbage storage. The owner didn't speak English. The whole place feels shady at best. On the plus side, it does have free Wi-Fi.

Horrible place to stay, mice in the rooms, cold in winter, stinks.

It was clean and quiet. Close to transit system which made it quick to get around.

Great if you're looking for cheap accommodations in the Toronto China Town area. It is walking distance from a lot of restaurants and stores. Only downfall is that it's located behind a restaurant in an alleyway.

It would be the worst stay for me. You want to save money, there're still more places that better than here.

I HATE UNIVERSITY APARTMENT Trash of a place, located in an unsafe neighbourhood. I refused to spend a night there and the manager told me I couldn't get my money back. I called EXPEDIA and they cancelled the reservation and told the manager to refund me but he didn't I had to call the police on him before I got my money back. The room wasn't clean and the bed was dirty, VERY small room. If you are six (6) feet tall you will not fit into the little bed there. There is no receptionist, and the person who came to assist me did not speak english. The manager and his team were shady and unprofessional, it's not a hotel it's really a run down old apartment building. I DON'T recommend this place to no one, a shelter is way better. The refrigerator and the microwave were dirty. There is no air condition unit there.

Such a worse apartment ever. Don't even think to go there.

Fair price, Great location.

Great location. Good price. The manager is nice and the place is clean. The have basic all I need as a traveler: Wi-Fi. Hot water kettle, Frig etc.

Stayed here in oct 2010, first 5 dayd we stayed in 1st floor apartment and seemed ok but had a funny smell, we left for niagara falls then for couple of days then came back to basement apartment where, after 2 days we found small bugs all over bathroom and 2 plates with food that was there so long it nearly got up and walked out of the apartment. Very cheap and good location but disgusting.

Probably the ghettoest hostel I have ever seen in my life, cheap but still over priced.
