We really enjoyed our stay here. I requested an updated room if possible but wasn't expecting one. The hallways were pretty outdated as we were walking to our room so I kind of figured we weren't getting an updated one. We were pleasantly surprised upon entering our room, it was beautiful and you could tell it had recently been fixed up and painted with new flooring and an updated bathroom. The shower floor was kind of dirty, and so was the balcony, it was actually too dirty to even sit on the chairs out there but other than that the room was perfect. I think we really lucked out. The restaurant, Gustav's, was fantastic. We had an excellent dinner and breakfast. They were very accommodating with my allergies and made me feel comfortable. We would have liked to have gone swimming but it was very busy and there were a lot of kids so we decided to go to the beach instead. It would have been nice to sit by the pool on such a hot day though. We had a great time here and we'll definitely be back, for longer next time :)

Very nice location and staff. Our stay was really short and we didn't get to use the facility to its fullest but we were happy with cleanliness and comfort of the room. The thick curtain kept the light out and the air conditioning unit worked well. Both the indoor and outdoor pools were well maintained and clean. We would stay again with question.

We were not the least impressed with the service, restaurants or cleaning service at Georgian Bat Resort. They do not own a vacuum for the rooms. Apparently they only own a few wash cloths and zero wipes or dust cloths. The guy in the restaurant that served our table, I know more about his life out west and Ontario than I did about the special. The property needed major work (grass cutting gardens etc) we sat by the poolside and felt like we were camping. Maybe a 4☆ at the best but to be truthfull for what we paid I would say an excellent 3☆

Wonderful Resort Hotel and Spa, beautifully landscaped property and grounds. They have an outdoor pool and golf course/putting green. Recently renovated suites and guest rooms and the top floor are all gorgeous 2-3 bedroom suites for long term and extended stays.

Perfect location just outside of town, the room and bed were both big and comfortable. Service was great, and the restaurant was one of the best hotel restaurants I've been to. We were very happy with our stay and will be coming back in the future.

The hotel is dated but I liked the look. It reminded me if the titanic! Ha ha! The only complaint I have is it's got no elevator, and it's difficult to bring all your luggageup and down the stairs. The bedrooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The blankets were nice too! The restaurant was great, and has live entertainment. Staff were friendly.

Excellent staff and customer service! We arrived earlier then expected and received an early check in. While waiting, the bar tender (COURTNEY) was great. Dinner in the restaurant here was perfect. We will be back.

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of days. Staff were friendly and hotel was generally ok. The rooms were very outdated with furniture and carpets showing their age. We had the one bedroom condo and were surprised that there was no TV in the bedroom. The restaurant in the lobby looks nice but the prices seemed expensive so we did not go. Internet worked well and they offer free parking. Overall a solid 3 star hotel.

Room was well sized. Friendly reception and very courteous throughout. Room service was good. Well located for all the local amenities. Price was good, based on a last minute deal. Not the best internet connection in the room.

I would have liked to try an updated room. My bedroom did not have a TV just one in the living room. The hot tub was closed for renovations. The restaurant looked nice but I did not eat there because it was out of my budget. Very friendly staff.

Room was well sized though we did think we were booking a suite with kitchen, so be careful with that on the web. Friendly reception and very courteous throughout. Room service was good. Pool is heated but set at a (very) cool temperature so that was a disappointment for our kids. Well located for all the local amenities. Price was good, based on a last minute deal. If I had paid a lot more might have given this 3*.

Like so many of the other reviews on here. This was a regret staying here. The rooms don’t look anywhere close to how they look they on the website photos — they were dark, cold and outdated. I’ve stayed in nicer motels The hotel staff is the main reason for my bad review. They were truly terrible. We had stayed w our Labrador retriever for the first night and early the following morning there was a pounding on the door and someone said. ‘open the door now! ‘ it was almost like a police raid They said we know you have a dog in there (we weren’t trying to hide this fact as we had checked in with him and also looked on my iPhone for their Q & A section on pet policy) We were shocked out how incredibly rude they were — they said you have to get out now or will be charged $250. Shocked as this was all happening after been woken up the next day from a dead sleep, we explained we had no idea our dog couldn’t stay and said we would make other accommodations. They wanted to us to leave ASAP so they could rent out the room again and said they weren’t going to refund us. It was only after Expedia got involved that they had to do so. But this was by far my worst experience and I would suggest anyone look elsewhere or even on Airbnb as there are so many great options on there and much warmer.

It was much like a murder mystery adventure. One from the 80's I'm thinking… Due to the uneven floors, dirty stained carpet, moss growing on the soffit + roof and linoleum flooring. Very dated unit. We had broken police crime scene seals affixed to our front and rear doors. I asked the front desk what horrific crime occurred in our Villa. The employee was miffed. Guess a call to the OPP would be the only way to find out! Seriously speaking out wives had a tough time sleeping while thinking about who might have died in there. Best spend your money elsewhere!

We recently stayed at this hotel in a 3 bedroom villa with 2 other couples. We were looking for a place to hold us all with a kitchen we could cook meals it. The villa provided that. Upon entering the villa it was absolutely disgusting. The carpets were filthy. There was holes in the walls. It was clear that it had been used and abused by previous guests and not maintained. The shower was full of hair. The shower curtains had mold on them. The dishes provided were barely cleaned. The televisions were so old and poor quality. The couches were super dirty. We did our own clean up to make it a little more livable. The breaking point for us was the police seals that were still stuck on the doors to the front and back of the unit. They were dated from Jan 27 2018. Cleary some sort of investigation occurred in this room and the management was too lazy to even have someone take the seals off the windows. What happened is this room? Death, drug use? Who knows. When I asked the front desk they said they had no idea what that was about and that nothing they knew of had happened in the room. For $650 For 2 nights this place was not worth it. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere nicer. I won't be back.

Room was upgraded to a suite and was newly renovated. Very nice with a gas fire place and jacuzzi tub. Deal with Scandinave spa was good as the hotel is conveniently located. For the price, would have been nice to include breakfast (or vouchers) and more than just 2 K-Cups per day. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Our Disappointment with the Georgian Bay Resort We booked a 3 bedroom Condo for one night Dec 27/28. We booked it over the phone calling direct as there was a discount being offered. Not sure how, but our actual booking was actually made for Dec 24/25 and not the dates we requested. We realized this mix-up on Dec 26 while we were packing/getting ready. We called Georgian Resort right away but the reservation desk was closed and we were asked to call back. We called back early next morning and were asked to call Julie, the manager. We tried multiple times and left a couple messages too, but no one returned our call. Our kids were disappointed and we had our family visiting from overseas and this was our one trip together during the holidays. It was really uncourteous that no one returned our calls. We were hoping at the very least someone may be able to try and accommodate us in different rooms or modified dates, we would totally understand not getting a full refund but any gesture would have been appreciated and would have gone a long way in getting loyal customers and great word of mouth. Very Disappointing!

Nice spacious two bedroom in the tower. Good for staying with a group. Pool reno is nice, but pool temperature is cold; (A couple degrees warmer would be great. Also, why is the hot tub room boarded up in a ski town hotel? Restaurant food is very good. Staff are friendly.

We stayed here many times. It's is very nice and clean. It's the first time they charge extra for hydro $5 a day. The townhouse units getting a little tired. They re did the pool but there is no hot tub (you really need a hot tub after a cold day skiing).

The lobby was nice, however the room is not updated. The TV was soooo old. Even the carpets and curtains. Rooms size was good. It was overall clean. The Wi-Fi was not working in the hotel during all our stay. The only way to get a connection was in the lobby. The food in the restaurant was excellent (probably the best thing in the hotel). There are no indoor activities for the kids except for the swimming pool. No elevators too!

The employees were really nice and had a lot of respect for their customers. My room which was located at the ground floor, was clean and spacious. But it was a bit noisy, since you could either hear people talking in the hallway or the floorboards creaking from upstairs.

We had a lovely time at the Georgian Bay Hotel, very clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and I actually forgot some valuables and they helped return them to me within 3 days. The one drawback, but this could have been an isolated incident, was that it wasn't very quiet at night (walls are pretty thin and we ended up having some louder neighbours)

This past weekend was our first stay at Georgian Bay Hotel & Conference Center and I can say that I would come back here on my next trip to Collingwood. The staff were amazing, so helpful! The spa was great. We didn't have a chance to try out the restaurant in the hotel but will be sure too on our next visit. The hotel was very quite, and beautiful grounds, very well taken care of. This will be my hotel of choice whenever I will plan to stay in the area.

My family comes here yearly. It's our annual haunt. The location is amazing, just outside of Collingwoods downtown core so it's close enough to amenities but far enough to feel like an escape from everyday living. We would all highly recommend staying here.

Went as part of my annual office meeting. Brilliant location and great staff! A nice place to stay overnight if in the Collingwood/Georgian Bay area!

Customer service at the front desk excellent! Restaurant had excellent service and food in the evening and poor customer service in the morning. One would hope they would open on time in the morning when a large event is being held on the premises. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again.

Staff is friendly. Hotel is close to a lot of the main attractions in Collingwood. Food is good. The hotel feels very dated. The rooms are not clean. Lots of bugs in the room. There is also very little light (lamps) in the room. Wifi is offered, but it's very spotty. There is no cell reception in the resort.

We really enjoyed our stay! Lots to do in the area and, on the grounds. Very efficient staff. Super clean. Wonderful atmosphere. We will definitely return in the future.

Rooms are a bit dated, and beds are somewhat comfy. Pillows we're not great at all. Very close to blue mountain which is nice. Restaurant in the lobby is incredible, a must visit. Overall, this hotel put more money into renovating the lobby and should spend some of it on the rooms. Havent seen a tube TV in a while.

No elevator but I knew that going in. Room is basic with king bed, end tables, old tube TV, fridge and microwave. Wifi is nice but has a proxy blocker. Shower is ok.

Room was not ready until after 5:30 pm on the day of arrival. The rooms are clean tidy. However, the house keeping doesn't come to do the rooms until the evening. We were out all day and when we got back at 4:30, the room was still not made up. It was inconvenient.

First day, my families and I arrived to the room and I was like wow. The room has two bedrooms, kitchen, family/dining room and large windows. Start with kitchen, lot of missing items such as kitchen knifes, sponge, soap dish and spatula. Wifi was very weak as the wireless connection kept going on and off. I have complained twice and it took them a day to have an IT to come and investigate. The IT person came and I spoke the IT person about the connection. He was able replicated and still the issue has not been resolved for than 3 days. On the day we planned to go out all day and we had ordered for cleaning in advanced. We saw two maids entered the room as they were starting to prepared. We left at the same time as they entered. By near end of the day, we returned to the hotel and yet… nothing was clean at all! Not even bed, kitchen, washroom and etc. We complained right away to the reception about the cleaning has not been completed… I should say it not even started. Two bedrooms came with AC units and in the middle of room, there is no AC unit. There is an air flow coming from the master bedroom and it was not large enough to cool down for the middle room (kitchen, dining, family and breakfast area). On the several hot weather day, the middle room got too warm and AC was not able to keep it up. We had to use osciliating fan to keep it cool. Each bedroom has the balcony and none of these balcony were clean.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, slightly dated. Nice option of indoor or outdoor pools. I would stay here again.

We've only been here one night but much prefer the lodge to what we've usually had at Cranberry. We come to Collingwood annually and would come back here. I especially love that our place backs on to green space and am listening to the birds sing as I type this. Fridge is stocked and we even have a bbq. Looking forward to a great week and off to the pool once the kids wake up. Very quiet and calm here which is extremely wonderful.

We checked in after searching for someone for about five or so minutes, our room is missing several things (such as a non stick pan, and larger glasses, which I now have to go purchase), we had to skim one of the pools as there seems to be no groundskeeping (the weeds and grass are up to your shins) before we could even get into it, because of the overgrown lawn outside our door we couldn't exactly go sit outside, there was no one working in the spa after I walked into the back looking for someone and found a staff member who said they had left. Very strange and unpleasant in general, am sure throughout our stay even more issues will come up. would not recommend the resort side.

My friends and I got out of Toronto for a weekend, stayed at the Georgian BayHotel. Great location, lots of parking, great rooms and very nice staff. We would stay there again.

The rooms wereel decent butbdepending on your location can be very loud. The pool was alright but couldve used work. They kind of cheaped out on the breakfast making you pay extra for a hot breakfast.

We stayed at a cottage type home and it was great. The house was very homy and had all the nessessary things. Great stay! Just the pool was very old and small.

My friends and I went for a night in this hotel. When we observe that the room was organized, clean and bed is tucked. Something bothers us because two of the pillows were smelly. Its like it has been used and unchanged. So we throw it on the floor. Another is, we found on the table a zip lock with a couple of chocolates. Seems someone didn't forgot to bring his chocolates. Another thing is the Wi-Fi. It was low and cant be used.

Stayed there this week and had a fabulous stay. Lots of things to do for both adults and kids. Staff are super friendly and welcoming!

Stayed at the Georgian bay hotel last weekend and had a fantastic time. Yes the place was still under renovations this passed week but that did not affect our stay at all. The activities centre has many things going on daily for adults and kids and we enjoyed the movie night the most. We were also impressed with the services at the spa. One thing we also noticed is the staff were always smiling… Keep going with the changes and this will be a top notch hotel.
