Much too expensive. We stayed at the one in Yarmouth, was expecting more of the same, it's nothing like it. No sign of anything native. I booked online and when I got there, was told because of that I wouldn't be tax exempt. Breakfast was the normal, muffins and such. Yarmouth was hot breakfeast. Very disappointed.

Have a working pool, not charge 3.00 to hilton honor members, tub had to be fixed. And only continental and the kids were looking forward to making their own food. So this trip was not a good experience at all.

The entrance is welcoming, the rooms are perfect, it's clean everywhere and the staff is very helpful!

Was told I could have an early check in and then was denied an early check in… paid a little bit for a hotel room and when the whole thing was addressed I was sent an email saying "sorry we can't accommodate everyone" 🤣 ok cool … but just say that the first time.

Great place great food beer is great too.

Little rant. Booked a night here at the Hampton for my two kids, we had legit 15 mins of pool time then we had to leave due to them having to clean the area. They never had anymore spots available for the pool in the evening nor in the morning, they didn’t inform us about that till we checked in. Then! Four in the morning we all were awoken out of our sleep because someone was banging on our door for a good few minutes trying to get into our room thinking it was their room LOADED DRUNK screaming at Blake, when I contacted the front desk they said ok I’ll be up then never even heard back from them. What if something did happen or the person was now inside my room? This place is seriously a joke paid way too much to have an experience like this. I’m not happy at all. The whole point of coming here to take my girls swimming and wasn’t even able to do that, if I would of known the pool was all booked up before they took my credit card which they should of said, I would of just said never mind and went elsewhere.

We had to travel down from Halifax for a family service. We called ahead and were pleased to hear that they are pet friendly and there was a bereavement rate. Cost was very reasonable.
The hotel was spotless. Absolutely gorgeous hotel.
The service was out of this world.
With COVID-19, they included breakfast and was served to us and we brought it to our room.
The air conditioning was perfect. Bedding spotless. Water pressure was the best.
The staff was very welcoming, accommodating and I’d like to give a special shout out to Elvira. She made us feel so comfortable.
Thank you for the great overnight.
We will be back for sure!

Great experience, beautiful hotel. Great for kids!

We recently added a puppy to our family and the pet friendly hotel was really nice. The added bonus was the dog biscuits with the poop bags. Very thoughtful, nice touch. Also the Buffet was really good. We were able to bring the dog with us but we put her in her crate out of respect for everyone else in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend your hotel to anyone going to Sydney. We will use your hotel in the future. Great Job and exceptional customer service.

The pool is great if you are bringing kids and the breakfast is really good.

Completely incompetent staff. We booked a reservation and they turned us away at the door when we were 5.5 hours away from a place to sleep due to an incompatible card even though we could pay cash and put a deposit down. Manager was rude about it. Inhumane faceless price of garbage organizations.

Beautiful place! Rooms are really nice, super comfy beds. Breakfast was great and ofcourse the pool was so much fun.

Comfortable beds, clean rooms daily, great breakfast, the front desk staff are always pleasant big smiles and are eager to help you with your stay in any way possible. They have great teamwork skills and professionalism in everything they do. They should be a 5 hotel. No questions. I will recommend this hotel to everybody I meet. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

"In the middle of nowhere" if you're considering this place as part of your NS holiday be advised it's on the edge of town with one restaurant across the parking lot surrounded by acres of ashphalt. That said, if you're a weary traveler looking for a place to rest for the night, the rooms are good, the bed is comfy and the compimentary continental breakfast has a lot to offer, even gluten free bread. There are so many invitiving Inn's & B&B when you're traveling Cape Brenton that a stay in a corporate hotel almost seems wrong. We regret not looking harding for a "local" option for this mid-point stay of our two week NS vacation before we headed down the Cabot Trail.

Stayed last weekend… it was spectacular from great customer service to the cleanliness of our suite. I highly recommend it. Great views out all our windows. The complimentary breakfast was top notch. Loved the 2 fireplaces in our suite… very cozy!

We had a wonderful time at the Hampton Inn… the room was one of the nicest and most spacious we`ve seen. Beautiful hotel and atmosphere. The only problem we had was that my son got a bad cut on his scalp from banging into the support post from the slide. The post is about the same height as my 6 year old son. When he came off the slide he was rubbing water off his eyes he and banged right into it. It sticks out and is kind of right in the kids way from the bottom of the slide to the stairs. I know you can`t really change where this post is, but just wanted to bring attention to it so maybe others can be cautious and aware of it. We will definitely be back again and be more careful around the slide.

Worst customer service and ethics! I stayed here a couple months ago and I accidentally left behind my iPhone 7 box which had my brand new iPhone charger and wireless ear buds that were both still brand new in the shrink wrap. When I called the next day they said they had found the box but that it was empty! I explained that the phone was brand spanking new and I didn't even get the chance to even open the accessories yet. The representative that I spoke to accused me of falsely accusing housekeeping for stealing from me and that I simply overall misplaced the items. Well guess what like I said the items were brand new and not even taken out of the box and its been a couple of months now and they still didn't magically appear. House keeping did in fact steal from me and customer service did absolutely nothing in regards to customer service. I am completely disgusted that customer service accused me of misplacing the items and brushing me off. I would have never expected to be treated like this at the Hampton Inn but it must be the Sydney location because Truro Hampton Inn employees would never treat there customers like how they treated me here in the Sydney location.
You have lost me as a customer and I hope that you beef up your staff training or else you will end up losing even more and more customers.

Loved this hotel. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The room was very nice, comfortable, and very clean! And having a mini fridge and microwave in the room is a huge convenience especially when travelling with children! The pool has different levels of depth so its great for many different ages and the towels are always plentiful! The complimentary breakfast we received in the morning was delicious and we had tons of choices! I'd definitely recommend this hotel!

OMG the staff was phenomenal when we stayed there for 2 1/2 weeks, extremely friendly staff and always there when we had an issue, supplied us with everything we needed, breakfast was always phenomenal and the kitchen staff was always on hand, me and my family had such a comfortable stay there.
